WHY does it need to ban anything?????? The resources it would take to do that would be better spent helping those families who have loved ones with mental illnes!!!! GUNS are NOT the only weapons every used in mass killings.

OMG- are you freakin kidding me????!!!! Exactly what planet are you living on - where it's ok to agree on something that you don't know the damn details to???? That was exactly my point! Maybe the time, effort and money should be spent on helping (not over medicating) those with mental illness!

So you think banning "assault weapons" will stop the mentally & crimanally insane from modifying any other weapon into a semi auto or automatic firing weapon?

Maybe, just maybe the goverment should be more concerned about the mentally ill at all ages and less about gun control. I think I'll take my gun, box cutter/knife, fertalizer or bomb and go kill a bunch of innocent people, said NO SANE PERSON EVER!

THey usually sell them at Wal Mart or you may try Big Lots.

Or any gun for that matter! If people are that dillusional and want to kill people they will find a way - gun or no gun!

In no way, would I want to see what the "leader" of that church has coming to him (or his head in the sand followers) when he/they stand before God to give an account of all the things he's/they've done in the name of God. Like I said before what a complete and udder douche rocket!

Exactly - inactions/negligence! If I had a child in my home that showed any violent tendencies, you can bet your sweet behind, I'd have my weapons locked up in a safe with safety locks on each and every one of them, not out readily available!

That's exactly what my .38 S&W Feather weight is for, protection! I carried one in my purse when I was single and working at the jewelry store and still carry it now that I'm married and working for a large corparation. I also own hunting rifles, shotguns, muzzleloaders and .22's. Some I have purchased others were handed down, the only one I don't shoot on a regular basis is the .38 S&W - it is strictly for protection, the others get shot depending on what season it is.

I only read about the first two pages of this post and it was making my head hurt!!! How can any of you possibly think gun control or more laws concerning guns are the answer? It's called ACCOUNTABLITY! You as a parent should be held ACCOUNTABLE for the raising of your children, if they are sick, freakin get them help and stop worrying about what others think, be a damn parent!!! Yes, I have ornaments that both my Grandmothers made and ones that the kids made. We use to make ornaments every year for Christmas, but they are to old, so I started making them with the grandkids!!

Sounds like where I use to live, not sure why, but those neighbors ended up getting busted for drugs because of idiotic people parking their cars (sometimes up to 6 at a time) all hours of the day and night instead of using the driveway!
