  1. Here's a thought for you, write down what you would do step by step. Or what actually occurred step by step and we'll go from there.
  2. Two separate and distinct incidents. You cannot convict someone based on the actions of someone else in another state. The scenerios are not identical. You can employ the training you were given and wait for back up. This guy died and never laid a finger on anyone. You can make excuses all you want but either SOP was not followed or SOP needs to be reevaluated. The alleged acts of a mentally ill man were not a capital crime.
  3. Holy sheeze! After all of these years we have found common ground. This is a moment that will last 3-2-1... Moment is done.
  4. Not too bright are you→ ? If you suspect the man is under the influence could you also deduce he will not comply with/understand lawful commands and therefore you should wait for back up? Oh wait, I'm sorry that's asking you to use "common sense". So from your persepctive, being mentally ill is now punishable by death. Absolutely no need for a judge and jury. And to think that all these years people were using the insanity plea...
  5. Observe, report and wait for back up. Common sense. If he wasn't posing an imminent threat wait for back up as opposed to firing shots in broad daylight and possibly hitting an innocent bystander or child. If the last option is going to be the first option, why include the other options at all? Why waste taxpayer dollars on training and equipping officers with tasers and pepper spray? Just spend the money on bullets and legal fees for civil rights violations and excessive force lawsuits.
  6. I have an issue with ABUSE of authority just as you should. I'm sure you side with the 47 traitors that undermine POTUS that was actually elected to hold that post. It seems the only time you don't have an issue with authority is when you think it sides with you.
  7. Again, what's wrong with wating for backup? If irrational behavior and drugs are punishable by death because you simply charged a police officer, never making contact then I guess someone should start rounding people up and shooting them. No need for a judicial branch because police officers can be judge, jury and executioner. If the police officer had missed and hit an innocent bystander or a child I'm sure that would be the alleged perps fault too? The police officer is to put himself at risk for the good of the community not fire his weapon because he panicked and pissed his pants at th
  8. You don't read between the lines well do you? Sometimes you have to read with the "third eye" and listen with the "third ear". I know they don't do it much in Limbaugh land but in Liberal land we call it "critical thinking". Say it with me- You can do it- "krit-i-kuh l"... "thing-king". You did it! Attaboy! Such a BIG BOY! Clearly if all that happened is what was written (and truthful), then the officer didn't exercise experience or training and just walked into the situation totally blind and unprepared.
  9. No that is what YOU are saying. If he felt a need to do that he definitely should have waited for back up. He could unfasten the restraints for easy access and application if necessary. The guy is naked so there is no clothing to interfere with the use of a taser. You can't show me a video where a naked guy was not slowed considerably if not stopped in his tracks while being tased with no clothes on. Some clothing in conjunction with drugs may reduce the effectiveness of tasers. 50,000 volts spread across a naked body by darts is likely to abruptly stop and incapacitate any drug induce
  10. The officer is going on a call to confront a naked guy who could be under the influence. "Common sense" says make preparations for this confrontation before you get out of the patrol vehicle. Anticipate irrational behavior and a failure to comply. Wait for back up if you don't think you can handle the situation alone.
  11. How about we try using the taser and pepper spray before we rule them ineffective? Let them do what they were issued for before ruling them ineffective? Of course tasers and pepper spray are ineffective if they are stowed on your belt and you make no attempt to use them. I have about as much belief in the GBI as you do in Eric Holder and the DOJ.
  12. If a seasoned officer thinks a naked perp is dangerous, why not wait for back up? Then you do the three stooges routine where one cop distracts the guy and the other knocks him down. First thought that comes to mind is give him instructions that he is too stoned or incoherent to follow and then kill him? Your willingness to approve shoot to kill demonstrates your lack of value for life. A cop's job is to protect and serve. This is a job where you put yourself at risk at times for the good of the community. If you think you may have to shoot to kill then you should be waiting for backup or
  13. Can you would provide a link for last years numbers? I can't seem to find one. I have found one for 2011 on the FBI site. Shooting unarmed black youth simply means that you refused to wait for back up and you refused to use alternate methods available to you. Assuming your numbers are accurate most crime is local to it's population. Meaning whites kill whites and blacks kill blacks. From your numbers, it is difficult to discern which race is most likely to kill LEOs.
  14. The answer is simple, TP. Black lives are undervalued and expendable in the eyes of police. It's cultural conditioning. Many would say what's the harm in frat boys singing songs on a bus in OK? Well these frat boys will be future leaders. May be some even police commissioners and police chiefs setting the standards for law enforcement.
  15. You seem all too familiar with that scheme Weaselmeister. I would guess you are projecting, as you so often do.
  16. Just goes to show that men are not always the aggressors in domestic violence situations. Just like Lynn Turner who killed her husband and her boyfriend by poisoning them. Makes you wonder how many other men have had attempts on their lives or been killed "passively" but the crime was never discovered. Ms. Silvers will undoubtedly claim she is a battered victim and say she was abused and was driven to make an attempt on his life. Women who cry wolf should be ashamed of themselves in view of all the women who are truly battered and live in fear. Whether Ms. Silvers is or not, we'll have to w

  18. That would help the President. Big oil doesn't want to help the President.
  19. Another big difference is the refs are not on strike they have been locked out. They are a small part of the league but , it seems, they are integral to its success. The first fans to erode will be the fantasy league players. Gamblers may gamble elsewhere. When money walks, bs talks.
  20. This was a regular season game and over a 1/4 of a billion dollars changed hands on Monday night. Just wait for the playoffs to start. Vegas books: $300M+ changed hands with NFL call LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas oddsmakers say $300 million or more changed hands worldwide on a controversial referee call that decided the Monday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks. <<>> The Glantz-Culver line for the game opened favoring the Packers by 4½. Had the final play been ruled an interception — as many players, analysts and fans believed w
  21. May be not formally boycott but let a Tim Donaghy incident compromise the integrity of the game or the playoffs for that matter. It will put off a lot of fans if that happens. Remember how the MLB strike turned off fans for years. Such a scandal could easily throw pro football in the pro wrestling ring. There are a lot of refs that might miss a holding call or a pass interference call to shave points. Weighing the risks and the potential quick financial gain, this is a train wreck waiting to happen.
  22. In time, many will. Especially with the product they're currently receiving.
  23. So Packers fans are crying the blues today. A team built on the socialism model, is whining about the NFL, also built on the socialism model with it's league parity, revenue sharing between small and big market teams and salary caps, because the unionized refs have been locked out by the greedy owners. The league is worth at least $33+ billion, they have a TV deal that pays them 3+ billion a year, players worth millions if not tens of millions on the field and the NFL doesn't want to pay $6± million to protect the safety of the players, the integrity of the game and their overall investment.
  24. Obviously you haven't heard Zimmerman's other 46-50 previous 9-1-1 calls. He seems to have a pattern of calling in suspicious black males. I do see your confusion. Any time someone uses the term "f*cking coons" as Zimmerman does, he's probably not a racist. http://www.slate.com/blogs/weigel/2012/03/23/george_zimmerman_s_long_lonely_war_against_black_youths_doing_things.html
