  1. You're on socialized medicine? Surely not you rays? I would never have thunk it.
  2. Many try to whitewash it's existence but police brutality does exist. I couldn't blame this woman if she sued the police department and the county she's in. I completely support police officers that due their job correctly. For the ones that don't they are not above the law and should be held accountable as any other citizen would be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e-8Jqz8qxg
  3. That was an easy guess. I've found that Delta is notorious for combining flights. You have 2 flights going to the same place and one or both flights is underbooked. The fuel/cost saving solution is for the earlier flight to have "mechanical" problems and combine it with the later flight.
  4. [sarcasm]Sorry buddy, it's supply and demand only. There is no such thing as market manipulation. Any reference to anything other than supply and demand is a conspiracy theory.[/sarcasm]
  5. What you're saying is the justice system doesn't work? How many of these frivolous cases actually see a court room and go to trial? Very few. This argument is old and fairly tired. The media publicizes a few cases that fall through the cracks and then panic sets in as this is branded the norm.
  6. Two heads are not always better than one. For men, blood is in short supply. There is only enough to fill one at a time. That's why men slobber and speak incoherently around babes.
  7. I wasn't picking and choosing anything. As a matter of fact I got my story from the original video and Faux News as illustrated in my previous post. I deliberately chose Faux News because I know you consider it a reputable news source. My link
  8. The news reporter/ anchor in the video says it began as a routine traffic accident. I said may be she bumped her head getting into the patrol car. Bit of movie sarcasm on my part.
  9. She was in a fender bender. I don't see where it says an airbag deployed and the car was totalled after rolling down a canyon. I don't see blood coming from her mouth prior to the camera being turned off. If so, may be she bumped her head by accident as the officer put her in the backseat of the patrol car. Prior to the camera being turned off she screams several times don't touch me again.
  10. With extensive damage to both eyes, her forehead and a broken nose, bruised shoulder she didn't fall down a flight of stairs.
  11. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,331490,00.html <<>> The fired officer also received at least two other excessive force complaints, according to a report in The Shreveport Times. Darlene Atkins, a Shreveport resident, filed a lawsuit in 2006 alleging Willis threatened her son with a gun to his head, according to a report in The Shreveport Times. Willis said he would shoot the boy if family members came closer, according to the lawsuit. Tomeka Bush, another Shreveport resident, claims in another 2006 lawsuit that Willis seized her car after she filed a complaint against
  12. Are you saying blacks are the only ones that would pee in public?
  13. I think mrnn hit on something missed by many on this topic in the other forum. Myself included.
  14. Actually the officer has 2 prior complaints in 2006 that apparently generated the settlement you reference. In this case the woman has been charged with DUI and he has not been charged or has he received his job back yet... Both the suspect and the officer are innocent until proven guilty.
  15. Everyone appreciates good officers that do an outstanding job. I appreciate officers that do a good job. If she was DUI get her from behind the wheel before she kills someone. If she is in custody she is in your care. You are responsible for her. You don't break policy or the law because someone in custody is belligerent. While the vast majority of police officers are good there is a minority that abuse there authority. Looking the other way doesn't make things better. It doesn't improve relations between officers and the communities they serve. I've been to peaceful protests where
  16. Thank you for posting this I now see the light. The good natured but absent minded community servant handcuffs the woman without declaring any charges for her arrest, detainment or notifying her of her right to counsel. After realizing the camera is recording everything the uncooperative heffer shouts at the camera with glee. Not wanting to waste the taxpayer's film on a drunken diva's horse and pony show, the frugal officer decides to turn the camera off. Distraught at not being filmed for her fans, the belligerent btch slams her face against the wall and a filing cabinet causing the
  17. Another one repeating misinformation. The woman was accused of being intoxicated. She was not charged or convicted of any form of intoxication or associated crime. So the bad officer gets the benefit of any doubt in every instance? Sorry I've seen many cases where officers have abused their authority. I don't give anyone a pass because they wear a gun and a badge. I have a police officer in my family and an in-law that is a detective. I don't hate cops. I do think that bad cops that can't handle the stress of the job should find another occupation.
  18. I see it repeatedly said she was intoxicated. She was not convicted of DUI or DWI. As it turns out she was not intoxicated. She certainly doesn't appear intoxicated. So if a police officer suspects you of being intoxicated you are automatically convicted without judge, jury or trial? Hello? She was accused of intoxication not convicted of DUI or DWI. She wasn't intoxicated. I now see how easily misinformation is spread.
  19. It also created a delayed bleeding reaction right? Surely there is no pool of blood until after the camera is turned off. She didn't complain about any injuries from the car accident. Her face was clearly pounded in. The lesson was learned because she was very cooperative after having her face bashed while cuffed and defensless. Being uncooperative does not excuse excessive use of force. The officer was terminated for a reason. I wonder if this was the only time he's been involved in such an incident. Giving a pass to a bad officer only makes the job harder for the good ones. I can o
  20. That's a stupid suggestion I don't live in Shreveport and I don't plan to.
  21. She was suspected of being drunk but as it turns out she was not. She is clearly coherent during the incident. I wonder why she felt the urgent need to make a phone call. It seems that something occurred prior that she did not want to be alone with that officer and or at that station. She wanted someone to know where she was.
  22. You can use the chrome engine in IE. What version of FireFox are you using?
  23. None? She fell? A pool of blood and the other police officer walks in and walks out offering no assistance? What ever happened to having a female police officer present? Well thank goodness this brave officer didn't use excessive force in getting the woman to comply. All she had to do was fall down on her own, bashing her face in and she went from being belligerent to total compliance. This nut is a disgrace to all of the officers that do an exemplary job. He should be charged with multiple felonies. The other officer who didn't get involved should be charged too. http://www.yo
