  1. Don't admit defeat! Use paulding.com as a way to degrade Christianity and anyone you think may be associated with it.
  2. Good for you. Now you should be able to sleep better at night.
  3. I understand you're trying to single out Christians as a way to cloud the argument... Take a moment to look at who is against homosexuality from a worldwide viewpoint and you'll see Christians are just a percentage of those against it. Refer to the original topic of this thread. The court had to overturn a popular vote in California preventing gay marriage. That right there should tell you this is more than just Christians pushing their view.
  4. Because someone with a religious is belief is entitled just as much to that belief as someone without it. You're fighting for the acceptance of a way of life instead of equal rights. I don't care if you're gay, straight or fruit cake. What bothers me is someone insisting your beliefs trump those of another. The gay rights movement may be about "gay rights" but it is deeper ingrained in pushing the acceptance of the gay life style. You don't want Christian values shoved down your throat so why is it OK to push the gay lifestyle down another’s? It’s not and that is what people don’t underst
  5. Equality under the law has nothing do with someone else accepting a different lifestyle. Homosexuals could fight for equality from a legal standpoint without bashing those who disagree with their lifestyle. The same people posting in this thread calling others bigots are also spewing venom at others for a different way of thinking. This topic is full of hypocrites and the most entertaining piece is most fell they're above it because "they're right". I don't know why but I'm always amazed at how near sighted people can be. Like it or not, both side are wrong in this fight. The answer is s
  6. No need to talk me in to it. Where can I pick up my loan?
  7. I've given an easy out to both sides but everyone still wants to find fault. People have proven this isn't about equal rights as much as it is an agenda to push the acceptance of the "gay" way of thinking.
  8. What beliefs are you referring to that I am pushing? If your ability to imagine is linked to your ability to comprehend these posts I'm included to think it’s a very narrow imagination.
  9. That is what I said except the government will not do any marriages. Marriage will happen in churches. You're fighting a losing battle... Marriage is viewed by most as a religious action and will be for the rest of my life time. (I'm not that old…) California voting to prevent gays from marrying should be the smoking gun here. You absolutely do not have to use the term married to have the same legal status. It’s a silly argument and is not working. California voted it down for crying out loud! You want equal legal status? Go after it but leave the marriage label out of it. It’s
  10. A bit small for my liking, but for that price I might buy two... Wouldn't that place be frigging awesome!?!
  11. It is very close to the coast and within a decent drive to the Jacksonville airport. Those are two big plusses. I could easily live there if I wanted to go back to traveling again. Some of the places are so cheap you could justify the risk of sitting on them and never using it. While in boot camp I had to deal with the sand fleas. I hated those things. The difference being now I could actually swat the darned things!
  12. I'm not bitter. I'm a realist. One day you might understand.
  13. So all of those bachelor and master graduates out there have the drive and ability to succeed? BS. Those things are handed out to anyone willing and able to fork out the money for one. I realize there are many who do work their butts off to succeed in college but there are many others who don't and receive the same piece of paper. A bachelor used to be worth something. Now you’re forced to get a masters to have any chance of getting hired at a decent salary in many fields. Again, this is by design…
  14. Aren't you going to have those along all areas of the southeastern coast?
  15. I think this is the core of the issue here. I used to hold teachers more accountable for the current failures, but in reality their hands are tied by people who think they're smarter than everyone else. A real thinker doesn’t have a chance in the current class room. The more educated someone gets the higher the likely hood of them believing more education is the only way towards higher intelligence. In reality it doesn’t take intelligence to get an education. Good luck convincing many of this idea though… I’ve spoken to teachers who have good ideas but are forced to “follow the line” unde
  16. I felt I did answer the question. I see no problem with gay couples having the exact same legal status as straight couples. Hence my reasoning behind the government doing civil unions instead of marriages. Gay and straight both would get a civil union and no government office would perform a marriage.
  17. I’m seeing very cheap land prices in the Waverly area and its making me curious enough to where I’m thinking about making a drive down to see what is going on. It’d be more of a long term purchase with the thinking of building a house several years down the road. Anyone know about this area in general? It appears there was a significant amount of development a few years back that has went belly up driving prices way down.
  18. Won't happen. The public school system is designed to fail. NCLB isn't the reason why they're bad. It’s a top down issue that I don't see ever being corrected. Too many are rooted in the current way of thinking and our schools are full of people who either aren't allowed to be productive or just don't care to be.
  19. The civil union would be the only recognized “marriage” in the government eyes. Being married by a church would be between the participants and the religious organization performing the ceremony. It’d be a completely separate process between the two entities with no requirements between the two.
  20. "How am I" is the better question. Tell me where I said someone should not have equal rights or the opportunity to do as they please. Good grief! I'm agreeing with the left on just about everything but the term marriage. The end result is the same but not good enough. This is why you're failing pushing the "equal rights" movement of gay marriage. It’s not about equal rights in the end. It’s about forcing someone else to accept your beliefs, morals and values. That is wrong and I won't support it. It is saddening to see those screaming for equal rights are willing to trample on another’s r
  21. Where did I say the government would issue both? In my view the government would issue a civil union and the church would handle marriage. You want to be legally viewed as a couple by the government? You get a civil union. You want to get married? You find a church to perform it. Really, really simple. I can't understand why some many can't grasp it. Maybe they do but it takes away from what they really want?
  22. If voters could be qualified we'd be better off...
  23. Thank you. I try to stay away for the most part as I get sucked in... Just like how I wasted a couple hours playing on here. It’s entertaining but so unproductive. Is 12:30 and I still have to get ready for tomorrow and wake up early AM to get the kid to school. Tomorrow morning today’s playtime here won't be so entertaining!
  24. You're a bigot according to former member.
  25. Sometimes I wish you could be a bit more truthful in your ramblings. The higher the risk, the higher the interest… Something so simple a liberal should be able to understand! Tell you what, you give me a 0% loan with no personal liability and I'll start a solar power plant. Would that make you happy?
