  1. We plan on building some wooden bookshelves. I want the shelves to be adjustable for shorter and taller books. What is the best hardware to use? I read in a woodworkers magazine several months ago that there was a type that could be ordered that was better than the ones sold by Home Depot and Lowes. I've forgotten what kind it was. Does anyone know what it would be?

  4. For a while now some people have changed the name of the last Thursday in November. Instead of Thanksgiving they call it "the name of a bird a lot of people eat" day. (OK, that's not exactly what they say, but they've changed it.) Would anyone else like to see the traditional "Thanksgiving" name stay?
  5. Here's a link to a free webinar on how to eliminate stress and bring back joy to the holidays. I haven't watched it yet but plan on it. It features Heartmath techniques which have been found to be very benefical to many. It was previously recorded so you can choose to watch it when it's convenient. Here's a description: Bring Joy back into the holidays- how to eliminate stress and increase appreciation during the hectic holiday season The holidays can be fun, but they can also be a source of great stress. This is the season when you're expected to cram office parties, shopping, and

  7. Thanks. Where is the best place to get an "8 bay amplified" outdoor antenna?
  8. Thanks. I was hoping I could get good reception with the indoor one. I have an attic. How many channels is "EVERYTHING"? What does amplified mean?
  9. This paper thin indoor HDTV antenna at amazon.com has lots of great reviews. Have any of you used one? I'm wondering what kind of reception I could get here in Paulding County? The first reviewer describes how he has tried many indoor antenna models and was impressed with this one. He does mention that he plans on adding a "lower power in line amplifier." What does that do and where do you buy one? What channels can be received using an indoor antenna like this one compared to an outdoor model? http://www.amazon.com/Paper-Thin-Leaf-Indoor-Antenna/dp/B004QK7HI8/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&am

  14. One point is that the 80-20 rule is recognized as a significant principle. Individuals and groups can use it for their benefit. Many books have been written on the subject and how focusing on certain activities can give a much greater return in relation to the time spent compared to alternatives.
  15. I was thinking about how I could use the 80-20 rule or principle to become better organized, etc. and decided to read some online about its history. I thought that it was iteresting that Joseph M. Juran, suggested the principle; naming it after Vilfredo Pareto, an Italian economist. Pareto observed in 1906 that 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population.

  22. What part of Florida? Would renting a house or apartment there be an option? You could live in the area and be certain that's where you want to live while you continue to look for a house to buy. Has their housing market been effected like that of Paulding County?
