Replacing Central Unit: Natural Gas Or Electric Heating?
ButterflyLion replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks for sharing your experience. We had one house that was all electric that had a heat pump about 18 years ago. We have had others that heated wit natural gas and the natural gas heating felt warmer. -
How did you decide what to buy? Does anyone know what kind of warranties are offered currently?
-
For those of you that have bought replacements. How did you decide what to buy, with the different options available? What kind of warranties are available currently? We have a central unit that has electric air and both a heat pump and natural gas heating. I would probably eliminate the heat pump in a replacement.

It's good that your Dad started that and you have followed.

Do you think the doctor should be held responsible for his patient's death? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Or_I2Tq1QXE

I was caught in a rip tide off a beach in Florida when I was about 21 years old. My husband and Dad saw me and tried to help but none of us were knowledgeable about what to do. We were staying at a motel and were on their beach with no lifeguard closeby. By the grace of God we got back to shore. A guy I went to school with drowned a few years ago. I remember a rip tide being a factor. I believe it was reported that he was trying to help his daughter and grandson. http://www.weather.com/activities/recreation/boatandbeach/ripcurrents_avoid.html

It's also known as "Let's Get Together." Get Together Love is but a song we sing, fear's the way we die You can make the mountains ring, or make the angels cry Though the bird is on the wing and you may not know why C'mon people now, smile on your brother Ev'rybody get together, try to love one another right now Some may come and some may go, we will surely pass When the one that left us here returns for us at last We are but a moments sunlight fading in the grass C'mon people now, smile on your brother Ev'rybody get together, try to love one another

When I googled that the song that came up contained a lot of references to public figures and some four letters words. Is that the one you're talking about? I posted the one I did because it is about getting along, etc. It came to mind as I was thinking about some of the clashes on p.com/.

A good family needs to rent a van for a trip

How quickly could she get her van back? Would she be able to do that and then take a shorter trip? -
I thought this was interesting: ... Moreover, Paws For Healing has been a mainstay in Sonoma schools to calm the most hyperactive of students. Recently, I visited a middle school classroom and I noticed a student sitting in the back of the classroom reading to a canine ( a pug named Henry). The child had a history of classroom behavior problems and was labeled as having ADHD but displayed none of this behavior. In fact, the child was focused for over a half hour, reading quietly to the canine that sat quietly on his lap. The purpose of bringing Henry into the classroom was not only to

Major Drug Company Will Be Paying $3 Billion Fine
ButterflyLion replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The Postman, thanks for letting us know about this. When did it change? I remember being in my doctor's office in Douglasville several years ago. I was signing the appointment sheet when a drug company representative asked the receptionist if Dr. T. would like tickets to such and such event in Atlanta. -
Do you have central air? Do you have shade from trees?

I read this article right after reading the thread here about someone who complains. I thought it was a good example of how some people can have great material wealth and success and end up feeling empty inside: ... transformation that followed years as an A-list party girl in her well-heeled community. She was adored by friends for her pizzazz, flamboyant life, and dazzling business success — the very things she now says left her with a bankrupt soul. “Everyone thought I was living the dream, but I was so empty inside,” she says. “My life was a great big party. Everyone envied me.”
