Thanks for sharing your experience. We had one house that was all electric that had a heat pump about 18 years ago. We have had others that heated wit natural gas and the natural gas heating felt warmer.

If you were buying a replacement cental unit would you chose one with electric heating? Or natural gas? We have a gas clothes dryer and gas stove, gas water heater, and have been heating with a system that has an electric heat pump AND gas furnance.

How did you decide what to buy? Does anyone know what kind of warranties are offered currently?

I was caught in a rip tide off a beach in Florida when I was about 21 years old. My husband and Dad saw me and tried to help but none of us were knowledgeable about what to do. We were staying at a motel and were on their beach with no lifeguard closeby. By the grace of God we got back to shore. A guy I went to school with drowned a few years ago. When I googled that the song that came up contained a lot of references to public figures and some four letters words. Is that the one you're talking about? I posted the one I did because it is about getting along, etc. It came to mind as I was thinking about some of the clashes on p.com/.
