The issues can be discussed without making the discussion political. It happens every day in classrooms and boardrooms across the country. If you want to discuss the politics of poverty, there is a political forum that is open for you to start a thread.

Not sure what happened since I'm new to this job, but I did test that forum and it is fully seen on the board without having to do a password. I checked with some of the other mods and they said that sometimes a thread is moved just to put it in an organized place. That would make sense because food threads probably should be in a single forum about food so if anyone wants to scan all the threads about food, they would all be in one place. As long as you're using the Recent Topics button, it all shows up. Have a fun day!

We've given everyone a lot of leeway during the 2 year election cycle but this is out of hand. Belligerent. Snarky. Mean. It all stops. It stops now. Discussion and even spirited discussion is what we want but too many have taken that liberty to a point of being caustic. No more. If you are attacking another member, it will be a bullet. If you bully a member, a bullet. If you go after the mods, it will be a bullet. This even includes going after Pubby. He has given you a free forum and a lot space but if you abuse his internet living room, it is going to be a bullet. This stops. Immediately.

I can't speak for Rafe but it looks like the whole post was set invisible because it was easier than editing .

Then how about this. Dallas Red and CrossRoads are to leave each other alone and not reply to each other, mention each other, look at each other's posts, and in any way think about each other. Next one that does will be met with the bullets. Now. Move along. Nothing here to see.

The function to completely turn off a poster is a software thing and not something that can be done on the front end. That being said, there is more mob mentality in this thread too. It is closed.

I'm closing this one but bullets for ganging up on members, attacking members (including Pubby) are about to fly. Enough is enough. Everyone needs to grow up. I would also add that "free speech" is not absolute here since this is a private site. We are all here as guests of Pubby, in his living room, as it were, and he has the right to do with his site as he wishes. Sam
