  1. Truly. Or think that anybody else would. These sites are for debate ONLY. Your own mind is for deciding. I don't want to know if that is how people vote. It is the hardest-won right we have and should be the most honored and cherished. A vote wasted is the life of a soldier, sailor, airmen, or Marine wasted. Makes me angry to my core.
  2. Really? This is how you base your vote? My mind was already made up based on the issues and hopes I have for the future of Georgia and the future of my children. I don't care about anything else when I vote, just my home, my home state, and this country that I love. You couldn't change my vote with an AK-47. It's not a matter of CAN you, it is a matter of SHOULD you. A matter of class, of stooping, or scraping. A matter of principle.
  3. I voted earlier. It is so hard to stand in a line and not ask people how they are going to vote. I want my surrounding area to vote like I do. lol To kill time, I decide in my mind who everybody is going to vote for. I cast a few votes of which I was proud and a few votes for which I felt I had to pick the lesser of the evils. I feel that way every time I vote. I will now be saving my political energies for 2012. I get sick of politics in-between times.
  4. Nah, it makes him look human. If that is even him, not sure. I don't think this was a campaign picture. I'm pretty sure you had to dig that up from some time before he even decided to run. Like I said, is pretty funny. So glad nobody took any pictures of me that time I fell off the motorhome at a NASCAR race. THAT would have been a great picture! I couldn't withstand public scrutiny like these candidates have had to endure. If I had to choose, I would say one them definitely came out smelling like a rose compared to the other one.
  5. I know people are slinging mud, but that last picture is super funny. hahahaha I think that is proof right thar that Mr. Avery will represent the good ole' boys of this state. How can you call that man a liberal now?
  6. Who would you say it is? The site is sponsored by the "Americans For Properity". The AFP Georgia State Director is Virginia Galloway. I don't think the assumption was too far off the mark. Are we to think Tom, of the Paulding County Republican Party, isn't supporting the Republican candidate? Because I think he is. Just conjecture, of course. I just did a single Google search: Tom Milanese: http://www.triplemroofing.com/aboutus.htm http://www.myspace.com/453409366
  7. You should have let me handle this. :sigh: I didn't call names. I stayed focused on the relevant matter at hand. I used sparkling wit with just a touch or sarcasm. You just should have let me handle this. I'm going to go mop. This is why I can only line up with pubby on rare occasions... nm. Family values thread. hahaha. I forgot myself.
  8. Then I must ask, since you married a man with crazy hair: Did he turn out OK? Is he a facist? Is he plotting to overthrow the government? Are there any other hair-related conspiracies, or thumb related, of which we need to be aware? Because if he turned out OK, and a personal picture is just a personal picture, then I think people should be more more aware of what constitutes things-that-affect-candidates and things-that-are-none-of-our-business.
  9. Oh,thanks. I read that. I thought it was more life-changing the way she was going on about it. hahaha
  10. I am more suspicious of people without hair. Did their hair know the evil things they were thinking and leave before it got bad and they were pictured in some sleazy magazine? Yep, that's what I think.
  11. I don't have a FB for exactly this reason. I know the Internet is NOT private, no matter how much people like to think it is. I don't think it is a big deal. Grasping at straws. I'm hoping most people have already read up on issues and are voting based on that, not some silly pictures and New World Order propaganda.
  12. Aww. I think she's cute. She's not a political vamp that has been around the block a few times. (hahahaha laughing at my not-so-sly-reference)
  13. Try again. I'll wait for it.... She answered that already. The picture was the family values the part. The other is a red herring and some coffee (maybe crack) inspired nonsense that doesn't have anything to do with local or state politics.
  14. Because it is stupid. It is just stupid. Facebook likes and politics. How freaking stupid.
  15. I understand her consternation. I'm not going to belittle her or try to dampen her concerns with parlor tricks. Any of us would defend our families to the death if we felt the need. Mrs. Avery, This doesn't change anything to real voters. If a bumpkin or gossip feels swayed, that can't be helped. Try not to worry. I wouldn't read this thread too long. I see it going South, really quickly. It is almost November 2nd. I'm sure it can't get here soon enough for you. Naysayers: It's day. Don't knock during the day. You have to give people the chance to turn on their porch lights. Sin
  16. Then you see her point. The pictures had nothing to do with the commentary. And it is commentary, not based on fact. I'm not holding the happiest moment of this guy's life against him. Thanks PP, for sharing that! I feel better about my choice. Mr. Avery and I feel share a deep love and excitement about our respective children! I was grinning like an idiot every time I popped one out. OK, maybe ten minutes later, but you know what I mean.
  17. I'm not going to link the other site, but she names it. Just type it into your browser. Personal pictures are there. I guess you could say he asked for it because he is running for public office, but some things should be sacred. There is no sense of fair play in politics in the modern world. I can see why she feels violated, but decent people won't care about it. He looks excited. Good for him. I wish all fathers were that excited about getting a new baby. The world would be a better place.
  18. Because the other folks may not be so gracious in letting her post stand as written. That's just my thinking.
  19. I dig his hair! I'm thinking somebody else would lurve to have that much hair. Hair envy. Is it bad to point out that everybody has curly hair somewhere? (Totally inappropriate, HA!) Don't worry about this craziness. I'm voting on issues so I'm voting for Will, even though I am having to cross the aisle to do it.
  20. It's probably a radio. That isn't a purse she is lugging around, it is the radio and she is talking on a handset like police radios. With her hand stretched out, it looks like a cell, but if you look at the regular picture, you can see it isn't. If the picture quality were better and she wasn't wearing dark clothes, you would see the cable connecting the radio and the handset. At least four inappropriate responses came to mind, but none that weren't at least slightly disturbing, so I have to pass this up this time. hahahaha
  21. Why I Left Harry's All Night Hamburgers. Fiction, but explains the basic concepts to mortals. Can't happen unless she was speaking to the mother ship. They painted that horse like a common prostitute. No wonder.
  22. Dude stretched the video onto a widescreen and messed up the aspect. If it is restored, you can clearly see it is a woman in a dress. She looks to be wearing sensible shoes and hose, not boots, and you can clearly see she is wearing an overcoat and a dress. This guy fixed it:
  23. This makes sense to me: THE PERSON, MAN/WOMAN IS CARRYING THE OTHER PART OF THE RADIO IN A BOX AT HER RIGHT SIDE. THAT IS NOT A HANDBAG. IT IS STRAPPED OVER HER RIGHT SHOULDER, AND WHEN SHE TURNS TO THE CAMERA, WE CAN SEE A DIAL ON THE FRONT OF BOX. IT IS A RADIO AND THEY ARE TALKING.THERE WERE BATTERY POWERED TUBE AND CRYSTAL RADIOS, AND THE PERSON IS INDEED COMMUNICATING OVER A TRANSMITTER RECEIVER IN THE GLOVED LEFT HAND. THE WALK AND STRIDE ARE SLOWER, AND HEAVIER DUE TO THE CUMBERSOME RADIO SET AT HER RIGHT SIDE. THIS IS A PERSON WITH THE SHOW OR THEATER, FROM THE PUBLICITY DEPARTMENT
  24. I think the real question is how many cell towers there were in 1928. Think about that for just a second.
