  1. Nobody goes in to my wallet, except me, period. On the same token, I do not go in to other people's, even my wife's, purse/wallet. If she needs something, I will bring her the whole purse.
  2. I try not to be rude, but seriously, when you are asking... do you honesty care how they are doing? Most people don't... it's a nice friendly gesture... that's all. Most people could honestly care less how you are doing when they ask... So why ask? Just say "good morning" and leave it at that.
  3. As stated above, you cannot legally purchase a firearm for another individual. If you want to get him something, I'd suggest going to some place liked Adventure Outdoors, Bass Pro Shops, or another major gun store that sells gift certificates and buy one for the amount of the firearm. Then, he can go to the store and LEGALLY purchase it himself.
  4. Just to clarify... You cannot buy and take possession of a handgun while in another state. You CAN indeed buy one in another state, but as stated above, it HAS to be shipped from one federal firearms license holder to another federal firearms license holder in the state of your residence. You can only take possession of it in your home state.
  5. Better think again! Ever hear of "hate crimes?" Hate crimes are nothing more than a more harsh punishment for the thought process behind an action. Last time I checked, we punished people for their actions, not their thoughts, but our government has seen fit to start to allow "thought crimes" to exist. If a black man shoots a black man because he just wants to shoot someone, he has committed aggravated assault, murder, etc... If I white man shoots a black man because he's black, he's charged with a "hate crime," the thought process behind the action. The government, is mo
  6. Yes, I have, on three separate occasions. All three occasions, I felt my life in danger and I wouldn't have hesitated one bit if my firearm hadn't stopped the aggression. After each one of those incidents, I thought about what "could have been" if I had pulled the trigger. Even today, I still go back and think about it sometimes and I often use these real life incidents when I am teaching. However, it wouldn't have phased me one bit to pull the trigger that the situation escalated that one little bit. I will do WHATEVER it takes to protect myself and my family. With that said, ha
  7. Yeah, it's out there... But it's getting expensive. It's gone up $30 per 1000 just since the election. I can get the ammunition, it's the bullets themselves that are scarce. I reload my stuff... I have cartridges, powder, primers... just bullets are hard to come by.
  8. So, because I'm a firearms enthusiast and enjoy shooting my guns, that should throw up a flag? Because I choose to collect firearms, whereas someone else chooses to collect cars, or beer cans, or bottle caps... I set off a red flag? Note: ALL firearms are designed to kill. It doesn't matter what is in the sights, ANY firearm will kill. They don't distinguish between humans, paper targets, deer, or glass. Yeah, I can only shoot one at a time. But maybe I want to shoot my rifle one time and not my hand gun. Maybe I want to shoot one of my handguns one outing at the range. Some
  9. They are trying to get it to where the firing pins of firearms are micro-etched with the serial number of the gun on the end. What this will do is basically stamp the serial number in to the primer of the case, which in many cases is left at the scene of the crime. They are also trying to get ammunition serialized... having a serial number etched or stamped in to the case as well as the actual bullet. Gun manufacturers, ammunition manufacturers, and the NRA are fighting this hard. It will increase the cost of gun and ammunition manufacturing so drastically, it will almost make a
  10. I see this on here a LOT. People complain about the ticket they get for window tint... "Well, I don't think it's too dark..." People complain about speeding tickets... "Well, everyone speeds... anyone who says they don't is a liar..." "There's no reason for the speed limit to be that on this road..." Blah blah blah... I wonder how many people that don't agree with the laws and have problems with them, actually try to do something about them, the RIGHT way. Such as, call their senator, congress person, or local counsel person? MOST of them will not... they just complain
  11. Uh.. No, sorry, I don't. I speak up when there is automotive advice requested or firearms advice requested. Those are my areas of expertise. You always seem to start the "Mr. Know-it-all" comments and the "he's an expert about a million things" comments, whenever I comment on these two areas... I'm sorry that I may know more than you on these subjects. Both of them are my professions. It was actually twice that you referenced me... and I hardly get a bruised anything from someone, especially on the internet. I could care less what you say or how you meant it. It was
  12. That's bullcheeze and you know it. If that was the ONLY thing you were trying to start, you wouldn't have made the comments about me, that you did. I said NOTHING to you or in this thread and you attempted to start some sheeze with me... typical of you. I see nowhere in this thread where ANYONE said ANYTHING about being able to buy a gun at a grocery store. You're right though.. there's NOTHING about the 2nd Amendment about being able to buy a firearm any where. The 2nd Amendment is to allow citizens the right to arm and defend themselves against government persecution a
  13. Correct, there is no registration of firearms, unless they are class 3, in which case, they HAVE to be registered and a federal tax stamp has to be issued. The ONLY person allowed to be in possession of a class 3 arm is the one it is specifically registered to or another class 3 registrant, with the registered owner present. However, one of the things you do, when you buy from a licensed dealer is you fill out the ATF form 4473. That form is not turned in to the ATF or any law enforcement agency. However, the ATF does come around to the dealers and they do inspect these forms. The
  14. I guess the people who are complaining about the cigarette butts being thrown out not being a big deal have never heard of brush fires... I guess they never listen to the fire department dispatches and have any clue as to how many times they are dispatched to a brush fire on the side of the road that was caused by a cigarette butt being thrown out. I guess they don't hear on the news about all the fires out in the mid-west and west that engulf hundreds of thousands of acres each year, that are caused by cigarette butts being thrown out of vehicles. Listen to the scanner sometime. I
  15. Duress codes on ATM's are just silly... here's why. #1. It will increase the ATM usage fee you pay because of the extra overhead. #2. Being that it's an ATM and not a person, it will have to auto dial a monitoring service when a duress code is used, because it's illegal to allow an automated system to dial 911. How much time do you think passes between the dial out, the monitoring service processing the call, the monitoring service calling 911, 911 processing and dispatching the call, and law enforcement to arrive? Typical time for law enforcement to arrive will be 2-3 minutes
  16. The ones on regular cheeseburgers are not frozen... they are dehydrated. Every morning, they go in to a water sieve to rehydrate and are put in the fridge until lunch time. Make ya feel any better? LOL
  17. If I get robbed at an ATM, I'm not going to punch in my PIN backwards. I'm going to punch in COLT and let the dispenser issue some .45's.
  18. I'm sure he just forgot to cite for the speeding. By law, they HAVE To cite you for whatever they pull you over for *IF* there are additional charges. If he was pulled over for speeding and the DUI was tacked on, to be arrested and written for DUI to stick, the speeding has to be applied also... or else, there was no probable cause for the stop. If he was pulled over for failure to maintain lane, crossing the line, etc... that would be probable cause for a DUI stop and then it would stick... Whatever the primary reason for the stop is has to be cited or secondary issues
  19. I think you might want to re-read what you posted. The woman was NOT a Navy Seal. She was an intelligence official with with the CIA. The guy who was talking about her was a Navy SEAL.
  20. Wal-Mart has been selling these for years.. it's nothing new. Wal-Mart and K-Mart both, years ago, sold both rifles, shotguns, and handguns. K-mart took the bullying by the anti-gun crowd and stopped selling all guns (except airsoft, paintball, cap, etc). Wal-Mart stopped carrying handguns in the 90's. And as stated, fully automatic weapons are illegal, UNLESS in compliance with the NFA regulations. Georgia law allows for ownership of full automatic weapons provided you have a class 3 permit or the tax stamp for each weapon that is applicable. PS: It's a "magazine," n
  21. If they are charging multiple customers for the same repair, that's fraud and should be investigated. However, if the customer damages a vehicle and they charge the customer for that damage, and they decide not to get a repair, so what? It's their vehicle and they have no legal obligation to repair a damaged vehicle, unless it's unsafe or illegal to operate. Just because they choose not to repair the damage doesn't mean that the customer than damaged the vehicle doesn't owe them for the damage. If I am in an accident where someone else is at fault, that person or their insuranc
  22. They county's nepotism policy does NOT prevent family members from working in the same department. The county's nepotism policy prohibits family members from working in the same department where one of them would have a supervisory role over the other one. There are plenty of departments in the county that employ family members, INCLUDING the Sheriff's office. The Sheriff's office has two married couples that work there. They work in separate divisions and neither of the couples have supervisory roles over the spouse. The fire department is the same way. As long as you
  23. I suggest you do some research on this method before trying it. If nothing else, ask your doctor about it. It's not an approved method by the American Heart Association nor the American Medical Association and has never been proven to be effective. By and large, the medical community does not acknowledge this "cough cpr" method.
  24. Find the serial number on the tire and it's the last four digits. The last two numbers are the year and the two just before that are the week. IE, if the serial number is DPZ4209 that tire would have been mfc'd in the 42nd week of 2009. If there are not four numbers at the end of the serial number, that tire was mfc'd before 2000.
  25. +1 Michelin tires are one, if not, the best for longevity, under normal driving conditions. There are several factors that play in to the life of the tire and one of the main ones is how you drive. The second biggest factor is the compound that they are made of... As someone stated above, Pirelli's are definitely NOT on the same plane as Michelin's. The Pireli's are a soft compound performance tire and they wear MUCH quicker. Michelin's are a pretty hard compound tire and they last a long time. Soft compound tires are gear more for performance and hard compound tire
