Same here. Apparently, there is a big difference in the lunches this year. Youngest one has always taken lunch except for pizza days, but said the pizza does not taste good anymore so is taking lunch everyday. Even the high schooler has started packing a lunch and snacks.

I believe they have both places.

Drop 3 's are very difficult to find at discount stores. Your best bet is better baseball in Smyrna, but these bats are not cheap. You can probably find a cheaper one there around $70 and yes they do check bats during the games.., seen it happen all the time. Most 12 13 year olds go through this. This is the bat he will use through high school so the more he uses it now the better he can swing it later.

They have a feeder baseball team at that age, but I believe tryouts for that has already happened. They generally try out in August and then start practicing and entering tournaments in prep for the spring season which usually starts in Feb. I have seen were the rec leagues are having Spring sign ups going on now. There is also travel ball.

I've been to well over 10 school dances, including an elementary one last night at a different school and they've always had the lights lowered with strobe type lights. Not pitch black, but gym lights off and some type of glow/strobe light on. The kids love it! It's a school age dance so they try to make it fun for the kids, not so much fun for the adults perhaps though. It's not my favorite thing either, but we make a short appearance for the kids sake then get out of there.

Does anyone have experience with hybrid schools .. Home school 2-3 days then attend the school 2-3 days?
