If the weather is like today, I will be there. I don't drink coffee though. They got anything else? I could just bring my birthday cake and a Dr. Pepper.
-
Thanks LGM. I did actually come up with that by my own lil self.

Dear God I know that I am totally unworthy of the respect and admiration given to me by all those that I serve and serve with. I know full well that at any momment in time my true ignorance may become abundantly evident. It is with that in mind that I humbly ask you oh merciful God. Please do not let me mess up today. And if I do mess up then please let it be a small error. And if I err in a large way please do not let it be in front of my coworkers. And if it is in front of my coworkers please do not let them notice. And if they do notice I

He is still young yet, so maybe he can overcome a small problem. You see right now, I don't think he could qualify. He is plenty smart enough to be a cop but his risk assessment senses are not up to par for fire fighting. Yesterday while in the back yard playing he was locked in the 6 foot fence. All he had to do was call us to let him out. We did not want him to let the puppies out. So he decided that he would climb the fence like any boy would. The thing is he had no shoes on. Further he decided he would jut jump down to the concrete instead of hang down and drop. The end result you ask? A

There is a specific code section for driving on a closed roadway. Trust me I wrote this all the time on Cbb Place Blvd before it was finished years ago. This is the section from Chastain to Duncan. I would go back there and sit and do my paperwork. It would get to the point sometimes where I would have to go somewhere else because too many people were going arouind the baricades and I could not get my paperwork done for writing tickets.

Now that is what I call justice.

The park thing might be kind of neat. Hey Lt. Dan.... A citizen wants you to put the carcass at the new fire safety village for the kids to play on.
-
Lt. Dan we were discussing it last night at the station. I say the electronics are toast and they would have to strip it all out and down to the chasis. These things are so computerized. Rebuild the engine, clean up the pump, rebuild the engine and all new wiring IF they were to keep it. What do you think? I know what you hope Would it be cost effective to repair even if it were newer? I say no and to part it out. Send it back to Pierce for them to use what they need.

I'll verify it but I am pretty certain tha E-6 is . was old E-26. It took us about 3 years or so to replace all the old Freightshakers
-
Cobb is self insured. They will take money out of the insurance fund to either repair or replace it. The funny thing is that if the replace it, one of the busier stations will get the new truck and they will get the "hand-me-down" truck like they did with this one. I believe it was old Engine-26. That is the way the county saves a little money. The busy trucks are used heavy for a couple of years and then sent to aslower station to extend their life expectancy.

Sad news from the flood. CCFD E-6 (based on Hiram Lithia Springs) was fighting a house fire Monday when it was over run by flood waters. The news footage shows just the roof of E-6 and the homes roof still on fire. No one was injured but this may well be fatal for E-6. Electrical systems do not function well after being submerged. I will post a picture as soon as I can find one. Keep your fingers crossed for E-6. These units are $500k each. Lt. Dan... Feel free to chime in with any news on this.

Yesterday I left for the fire station at 0500. I did not arrive there (Acworth) until 0800. Yeah I was late.

I understand your point but that is why they put headlights on cars. And if you can not stop within the sight distance provided by them, you are "out driving" your headlights. That alone is very foolish. It could be a young child running out into the road. Given the weather over the last days and the reported road issues, anyone that is able to drive ought to have anough sense to account for those things. JMO

These are my beliefs from 16 years in public safety. 1. It is quite possible that some lookey lou moved the baricade so they could drive down and take a look. Then when they left they were not thoughtful enough to replace the baricade. 2. The kid is stupid and drove through or around on purpose. 3. You can't fix stupid 4. Stupid hurts 5. If you are going to be stupid then you gotta be tough. That is all

I'll have to try this, seeing as I do most of our laundry. We also have a front loading LG. We keep the door open between cycles. This eliminates the sour smell issue. Trust me, my wife would tell me if they smelled sour. She has a hard time doing laundry herself but not with letting me know if there is a problem with something I washed.

Went out and got the fixins for BLTs. Hey Novella... did I see you in high heels yesterday?!?

I see the resentment of some of the execs. These are not the owners but say some VP or some such. I see a lot of these folks in their mid to late 20's in large numbers at these companies. My questions usually revolve around, what did they do in life or school that warrants such a position? Not saying that they did not earn it. But my gut feeling is that many are the silverspoon types. Mom or dad works there or something and got them in there. They have little or no experience in the job but yet they stay there making bad decisions. That hurts our businesses. I see it as "fair" that jr. got hir

Naaaawwww.... By the way... before you come by, ever here the term Distance does wonders?
-
Yup.. Tues. and Fri next week.

BS you know as well as the rest of us, that even if you did not lift a finger in the business, as the owner you at the very least put the money that you did work for out there to buy / create the business. So in that respect you would be the primary investor, and also be taking the biggest risk, finacially. I do not see why that is such a hard concept for some to grasp.

But of course!! We will be back Sat.

****Hijack**** What am I thinking... This is my thread. Hey LGM... did you see the new siggy?
