When I got my first computer in college in the mid 80's. I signed up for compuserve. Mostly you could conect to the school's cyber and up / download programs for class. You could go into the arlines database at like $55/ hour access fees. You could download consumer reports vehicle reports for a fee plus time. There were no pictures unless it was made of letters, number or symbols. I think I got spammed by someone calling themselves Big Al onetime though. Mostly it was used by me to upload and compile my programming assignments to the school cyber for compiling and printing so that I could ha

YUP!! The US has become the laughing stock of the WORLD. They (other nations and their people) know the Liberal mentality of so many in this country and they are more than willing to exploit it at every turn. I invite you (meaning all the liberals here) to read about the 2 US hikers who wandered into Iran and came into that country illegally. Then go read up on the laws and policies of our "good neighbor" on our southern Border, regarding entering their country illegally, and all the "goodies" you will get down there. We are the ONLY country in the entire world where you actually get more

No, BUT prisoners are usually secured in a hospital setting. Either by Shackles, Guards or secured doors. Would you care to guess how many DUI arrestees I have taken to the Hospital and handcuffed to the bench in the secured holding room? It is policy to do that.

:drinks: :yahoo: But might I suggest "they are even trying to take God out of our lives" instead.

No, You failed to grasp what I am saying. This should not be a TRIAL. It should be a fact finding interview in front of the assigned judge. I know it is difficult for your liberal mind to think in a black and white way but try to keep up. Coming into the US or staying after your "time is up" is ILLEGAL. The mere fact of that person (who is suspected of being an illegal) being in the country in front of the judge is PRIMA FACIE EVIDENCE sufficient to warrant a guilty verdict. Latin, On the first appearance.] A fact presumed to be true unless it is disproved. In common parlance
-
True enough' under regular court cases. Now, what is wrong with bringing each one before the judge. Asking themAre you this person? Are you in this contry legally? How did you get here? Where were you born? and so forth. when the judge is satisfied about their status, they either are released or sent home. There is NO need to provide large costly trials for this. And it is in their own best interestd to be cooperative, especially if they know they are about to be deported

We had a severe accident with 3 juveniles and 2 adults involved. Had some entrapments. Rescue Air was called in and that kind of accident will always attract news helicopters. We also have to have 1 Engine just for the landing zone. I have no patient info to relay.
-
Seriously?!? You folks want to give me negatives for pointing out that HIPAA regulations prohibt the disemmination of patient information to anyone but a VERY select group of people? Unbelievable.

Then it appears that you have not been "listening". But then again, that is not so unusual.

And it is the same with my son and Milk. He is lactose intolerant and it just really makes him mean. SoI told the school lunchroom manager, his teacher, VP and principal no dairy. Even submitted paperwork. Well they won'tgive him milk, but pizza or a ham & cheese sandwich are ok right. Not so much. But if I as a parent bring in a supply of Mt. Dew (and he does keep his own supply of snacks and drinks) to put in the closet for him with the instructions of when and why they are to give him one, then the onus is on me not them. But then again, I am a very pragmatic person and do not continual

I wished you no ill will. Unless you believe that my comments about PIBO winning re-election justified that. But then agin in my book that would be wishing ill upon someone and if that is the case Whitey, I'm sorry. I doubt that was the issue though. One last time Whitey... I am not a member of ANY party. I have voted for Clinton, Bush and Perot. Democrat, Republican and Independant. Many of the TEA Party's beliefs I tend to agree with. but then again, those that apply towards the Federal government do not apply to our local. There are numerous differences between them in case you didn't k

That last comment is totally untrue. I support justtified tax expenditures that benefit everyone. I do not believe in the transfer of wealth nor do I believe in corporate welfare. I also do not believe it is our governments responsiblity to provide for every need of all citizens from the cradle to the grave. I also support limited welfare to people that have run into hard times. 3rd, 4th or 5th generation welfare folks need not apply for it in my book. There has been plenty of time for the next generation of that family to make something of themselves. Especially in our current society. Unempl

See, there you go again. Attacking me when you have no legit reply. But you can wish in one hand, and Cheeze in the other. We'll see which one fills up first. . But hey you can hate on everyone you want to, it only makes you look petty. And you still have not answered my question. Must be because there wasn't one huh. Maybe you are just waiting on the puppeteers to send one down to you.

Mt. Dew is not a medication. If I as the parent told the staff to give the Child a Mt. Dew because my experience with the child indicated that it did help settle him down, then I would be doing what is best for my child. As far as medications go, You really have no clue here. All these meds are a Class II drug. And as such the ORIGINAL Rx has to be given to the pharmacy. That means no faxing or calling in of the Rx. It also means NO REFILLS. So when you are in the process of trying to get the exact dosage of that Rx tuned to the child as well as deciding which one works best for the child, the

Are you seriously trying to tell us that the Facility Manager of the facility where the OP's son is, actually gave you specific information on HER SON?!?!? :o I will cry BULLSHIZZA to my loudest ability on that!! It is a direct violation of HIPAA rules. NO, Absolutely ZERO facility managers would ever give you information about a patient like that. BTW, I thought you put me on ignore.

Again, are YOU this childs attending physician? I didn't think so. I understand what you are saying but it is purely conjecture on yours and the "professional" that you spoke with. None of us here have the entire story. And the only prudent course to take is to restrict our responses to the assertions made by the OP. And in that instance, and in light of what you know about ADHD children then would giving a child, who has either missed a dose or has no Rx at this time due to whatever reason, a Mt. Dew be a reasonable tactic in trying to modify his behavior? Whether you personally would or not

Let me help you out here TP. I am really sorry that you are not wealthy... I am not wealthy either...GET OVER IT!!

And you are an idoit if you think anyone said that. The discussion was about treating the symptoms. And I got news for you bub. For many disorders, that is about all you can do. Do you actually think that the meds they give someone for depression actually will actually cure a person of clinical depression. At best you can hope that they keep them on an even keel while they learn to cope with it or they just keep taking them. Will a tylenol fix a broken toe bone? Nope. But it will help relieve the pain while it does heal. The same could be said about beer. You just would care as much about the

You are making assumptions here bud. Primus stated it was for ADHD. You do not believe it. Are you on the school staff, work at the hospital or are you related to Primus? If you can not answer affirmative to at least one of those, then you are not working with all the facts and are making assumptions as you wish. I am keeping my input to the OP's statements. And I have a son that is ADHD / ODD. Go look it up hotshot and tell me if that is not a seriously bad combo that could get a kid into some serious trouble. My best defense was a good offense on this and we started WAY early in getting this

and those remedies might be just what the parent has discussed with the staff. My son has clearance to do all sorts of things other children do not because of his conditions. We have sat down with the staff and discussed them and made them a part of his IEP. I think it is time for you to climb off that high horse of yours and discuss something that you might actually have experience with. How many of your kids have these issues. I have 2 plus my wife, her brother and dad. Maybe give some investment advice or something.

No... they are talking about using a product and it's ingrediants for purposes other than intended. Tell me you have never done that. You have never drank a soda to settle your stomach or used hair spray to get out an ink stain. Look at all the uses for WD-40. Many folks swear by its ability to relieve arthritis. Go ahead and look it up. Ans sometimes the reverse is true. Even though my son may need cough medicene, he will not get any if it has red dye #40 in it even though I know it was intended for that use. I still know my son well enough to know that that ingrediant will definately cau

You do know that the medications that they give to children with ADD / ADHD is basically a stimulant right? Basically the Adderall my daughter takes is meth amphetimines. Stimulants seem to have a calming effect on these kids. The sugar, I am not so sure of. But the Caffiene is a stimulant and is a natural occring one at that.

I really don't care what you have to say or think TP. I personally believe PIBO will be elected again because of so many folks who have the entitlement mindset and those who support him simply because he is black or is a Democrat. That is a bunch of folks to try to out vote right there. BUT, and there is always one, I also believe that the House will go even more to the GOP. And the Senate is faced with the first end of term for the largely Democrat third of the Senate. With that many up for reelection and the latest history they have to run on, the GOP WILL also take the Senat

You know he keeps asking that of Boehner, Deal and the TEA Party members, but I can't seem to get an answer out of him as to why the person, who heads our country and specifiically promised new jobs if we elected him, is left out of the part of his signiture line. I believe it is because he is a DEM just like Whitey and Whitey has sworn blind allegiance to the Democratic party. Way to Go Whitey!!! you do not have to even think for yourself with that party. They do it all for you.
-
UH huh... And how did the Dems vote? Oh yeah... They get a pass because... They're Dems. Riiiiight..... I'm not the one who is being purposely obtuse here Whitey. I know I can be a REAL pain, but your arguement over this has no legs on which to stand and your continuing blame of the GOP Party members (and especially those affiliated with the TEA Party) that voted the same way as half the Dems is just irrational. Tell you what Whitey, when you get over yourself enough to say "you know what, I was wrong. There is plenty enough blame to go around for all parties in the House. I sh
