Spin off from "Christina Aquilera, Super Bowl Performance"

I agree with you, she oversang the song but is a talented singer and when she holds back and just sings the song she's much better, but it's certainly not the worst performance I've heard. Check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJLvCM4j2mg -

I am a huge Beatles fan and Yesterday is a great song. Marvin Gaye covered it and did a great job, taking it in a direction that in my opinion did nothing to diminish the original recording. Aretha Franklin's Respect was originally written by Otis Redding, yet most people think it's her song. It depends on who interprets the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgSb6CHcOaI -
This really blew.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtrS2b3QM_U If you think she can't sing, check this out. Today's National Anthem was not her best performance but I've certainly heard far worse.

She's got a great voice when she doesn't over-sing . I still thought it was pretty good.

I always liked this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZ11KYu8YwU

On a gut level, I don't disagree with you but the police are supposed to uphold the law and may have more credibility in minority neighborhoods if they were seen as honest and law abiding. An incident like this doesn't help their image or the ability to police this neighborhood.

The kid f**ked up and deserves to be punished and he may be a pos but he's still 15 and the police are supposed to uphold the law. An adrenaline rush is no excuse to beat the s**t out of someone, especially if it's more than one officer; I could condone that if it was one officer subduing the perpetrator but more than one is inexcusable. I just watched the video and the kid was not fighting back and they were kicking him. They deserve to lose their jobs and they're cowards who are no better than the criminals they arrest.

I've used that too and it does work.

Sorry to hear that. It sucks that a hard working person like yourself has such a hard time finding a job. Good luck.

There's no such thing as a perfect person and if there is a God, I don't think that is God's focus. You will meet your perfect man when you are busy living your life and setting goals for yourself that don't involve finding the perfect man. I met my wife at karaoke few days after my fiancee broke up with me. Nothing happened but suggested I join the music class she was taking. We became friends, she was in a relationship and I was busy drinking and trying to hook up with anything that moved. Incidentally, that didn't make me happy and was still sad over my failed relationship. However, I still

PT, you realize that servers make 2.50 an hour and depend on tips to survive. I always leave a decent tip, even if the service isn't great. -

Why would he spend so much time and money if he didn't think he had a case?

Well said

Sadly, compassion seems to be in small supply among some people. The people who have fallen on hard times are not asking for a free ride but for the mortgage companies to work out a deal so they can keep their homes. These companies are playing games with people, tying them up in mountains of paperwork. However, the mortgage companies have no interest in working out a deal with homeowners because they stand to profit from foreclosure because the mortgages are backed by the federal government and if the homeowners default they get their money anyway. These are the same institutions which asked

True. Our tax dollars bailed out the very institutions that are screwing people over. Nice, isn't it.

Nothing pisses me off more when eating at a restaurant. When my wife and I first moved here, that happened frequently until I was at O'Charley's and hadn't finished my salad and my steak came out. I told the waitress if I wanted fast food, I would have gone to McDonalds instead. She apologized profusely and it never happened again. This waitress became a trainer for other servers and they changed the way they served, giving people more time between appetizers and the meal. We became friends of the waitress as well. -

What if you have multiple personalities and don't like those either? -
Maybe it's this.
