  1. If you go with antiperspirant please note the fine print about harm to the kidneys.
  2. She would not be my realtor for long. That kind of language is never appropriate to sell a house. Especially in front of children.
  3. I agree with the bolded. I don't agree that all politicians want to dismantle public education. Governor Deal's wife was an educator and Sandra and the Governor both believe in public education. I encourage you to talk to the folks in office. Most support it too.
  4. John Barge is a big disappointment in his current job. Deal is far better equipped to run the state than Barge will ever be. I will be supporting the Governor because he has done a decent job and more jobs are coming to Georgia due to his efforts.
  5. Georgia is also one of only 10 states with a AAA bond rating. Tough decisions have to be made and Georgia is required to balance the budget every year. Not fun for anyone in this economy.
  6. Prayers for your family. I am so sorry you have to go through this.
  7. I do know what I am talking about and you refuse to accept what a mess your great leader has created. Huge welfare program and huge mistake. BTW did you read that the US is no longer one of the top 10 nations in terms of economic freedom? Thanks Obama. Read where he says he will start signing more executive orders if Congress does not give him what he wants. Stepping closer to a dictator?
  8. Thanks Nick. I was going from memory. Was the suit brought by the DOJ? Found it: http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2012/06/27/justice-department-sues-georgia-over.html The Justice Department sued the state of Georgia, charging the state's voting procedures are inadequate to ensure that military service members, their family members and U.S. citizens living overseas can fully participate .
  9. There was a lawsuit brought by some Democrats who said there was not enough time for out of state/country voters to get votes back in Federal races between primaries and run offs. Federal Judge set the date at May 20 for the primary. The state decided it would save money to move the state elections up too. That is the way I understood it.
  10. In case anyone is interested this will be the schedule after the Bill's return to the House for final vote and then the Governor's Signature: General Primary Qualifying Period: Begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday of the 11th week prior to the General Primary and ends at 12:00 Noon on the Friday immediately following (March 3 - 7, 2014) General Primary Election: Held on the 24th week preceding the November General Election (May 20, 2014) General Primary Runoff: Held on the Tuesday of the 9th week following the General Primary (July 22, 2014) General Election: Held on the
  11. There is no Romney in this. Obama named his pet after himself and he owns it. He has changed it at least 14 times all by himself. Tucker Carlson said that it is turning into one huge welfare program and a very costly one. Thanks Obama and crew. They pushed their agenda and destroyed health care for millions.
  12. I am asking this question because I really don't know the answer. Did some of the past providers pull out because of Obamacare? If that is true would it have a bearing on who they had to go with?
  13. BB I agree about p.com. I have always supported it and continue to be a paying member. I don't agree with all folks on this site but over the years my respect for what this site brings to the community has not changed. I wish Pubby and p.com the best. Glad you came back.
  14. Leave to the DOJ to make it about race! It should never be about race at all. It should be about the kids! Period!!!!
  15. There will be a Bill in the Legislature addressing this issue. Think you may see it this term. From Senator Bill Heath: Georgia’s zero tolerance weapons policy will also likely receive legislative action after two students were recently punished for mistakenly carrying a knife on campus. To date, Georgia’s zero tolerance policy prohibits weapons in school safety zones, which applies to public-school property, college campuses, driveways and parking lots. A violation of this policy will result in a suspension, arrest and possible jail time. This issue needs to be addressed. The num
  16. Yes, I am getting better slowly. I thought we were going to wind up in the ER too but hubby bought some ensure and it seemed to help stop the spinning of the room. Didn't eat or drink anything but water for 4 days. I am in agreement with momof 3, I would not wish it on anyone. Glad she is better.
  17. Yep! Keeping mine too. He was great. Today is the first day I have been up since Saturday night. I did have the flu shot and what I had was more like a severe stomach virus. Really bad.
  18. Not surprised at all. He is a very smart man!
  19. Sam is saying that the stays and some changes Obama has made to the law is unconstitutional without approval of Congress. This could get interesting. http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/blog/capitol_vision/2014/01/gop-ags-assail-obamacare-changes.html
  20. Hope all goes well and she is able to teach again soon. She did a great job for my grandkids.
  21. Always heard the black eyed peas were the pennies and greens were the dollars. Course pennies are not worth much these days. We had black eyed peas, turnip greens, mashed potatoes, beef tender loin roast, mixed fruit, corn bread, and peach cobbler
  22. I know you didn't Whitey. I hate it when the news we read is not always accurate. I know how he felt about Marta because I questioned him at the meeting after Marta was mentioned. I wanted to be clear about what he said.
  23. I never said he did not support it and that has not been part of our discussion about what Senator Dugan said.
  24. Meeting was put together by Senator Dugan. Maxwell was invited as were other officials who represent Paulding. Chamber had no hand in it. Whitey, you said this in post #264 in this thread: ER ......Ahem..... sir who are you to say that I am being intellectually dishonest? If you had been paying attention Tundra posted the plan for MARTA way back. In addition State Senator Dugan I believe was the politician that most recently.... October of this year was speaking at a Town Hall Type meeting held by the local Chamber and he spoke of the need for MARTA and this was reported in the l
