The Republicans at least tried to respect the ACTUAL ownership of GM and tried to help in a way that did not take it and make the government and the Unions the owners! What this Democratic controlled government is doing now is putting the government in control of what was once free enterprise!
-
This WILL have far reaching effects on other businesses!
-
I don't think AMERICA has survived this one! I think AMERICA would have survived if the government had not taken control!
-
And what makes you think all that money has stopped it? The result will be the same it will just take longer for the economy to correct itself! If it ever can now! The only thing that has happened is that the Government and the Unions own GM! And the Gov. owns the Banks!

You are welcome!

Sad day for the real owners who had the company taken away from them by the Obama Administration, the workers who will lose their jobs, and for the tax payers who have to pay for the bailout money that could just as well have been burned! We will soon have no choice in the kind of car that is available to us to buy! Does this Administration want a complete economic collapse?

How much of that increase was voted in by the people who went to the polls?

don't know if this addresses your question or not! http://www.wjbf.com/jbf/news/consumer/arti...n_georgia/13445 Published: May 7, 2009 Property assessments in Georgia cannot rise until 2011 under a bill signed into law on Wednesday by Governor Sonny Perdue. Supporters say the new law will prevent local governments from hiking assessments during an economic downturn rhat has driven many property values down. I think the legislature passed something that changed the yearly appraisal to every 2 or 3 years? not sure of the time span. What bothers me is that now that values are dropping we may not see a reduction for a LONGER period of time. I guess the property owner should be prepared to appeal!! That might bring it down some.
