Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you that I am willing to pay a little more to put Americans to work. I tell companies I deal with to make sure they send ONLY legal workers to work for me.
-
Does make you scratch your head and wonder what they were thinking, doesn't it?
-
You are right. I am all for legal immigration and those who come here legally or who become citizens deserve to compete for jobs too. I don't know that Mr. Golden employs folks of Hispanic descent but I am assuming that this may be where the Rumor may have originated. Who knows, there may not have been any basis for it at all. May have been an out and out lie!
-
My inquiry was answered and Mr. Golden says he has strong feelings about this issue and would not put any legal worker out of work by employing illegals. I believe him and will take his word over any cheap shot rumor to hurt him in this race. If he employs Hispanics then I believe that they are legal citizens.

Gubernatorial & Attorney General Debates Tonight

I don't think he is the best choice! I think there are at least 3 good choices on the Republican side. I am just having trouble deciding which is best. After watching what the Democrats have done at the Federal level and in the states where they are in control I would never vote for one of them. Georgia is in far better shape than the states where they have so many Progressives/liberals in charge. -
If it was for parking I find it disgraceful. That is certainly not a good way to treat your neighbor.

I did too! Hubby had to leave the room. -
Thank you Kathy for that heartfelt explanation of your reasons for running as an Independent. I wish you the very best no matter how that turns out. Thank you for the years of service to the children of Paulding County. Why would you think that? If they don't already know the history of all candidates then they don't care enough to know.
-
I truly hope that Paulding County DID NOT spend that kind of money on a fireworks display considering the budget crunch we are facing. Think I saw a post that said it cost around $10,000. I do know a lot of cities and counties decided not to have them this year because they did not want to spend the money.

Rumors sent out at election time do not bare repeating unless you know it to be fact. If there is no proof then it is nothing more than dirty campaign tricks by an opponent or their supporters. JMO I have sent an inquiry to him asking if there is any truth in this.
-
It is against the law to employ illegals. If you are saying that he has done so then why hasn't he been investigated or charged. If he hasn't been, upon what evidence do you base your charges?
-
No, but if the answer is yes he will not get a vote from me. I don't believe it but will ask anyway. Has he been investigated by ICE? How can you make these charges unless he has? If Stout wins this election it will be with his story out for the voters to accept or reject.
-
I know that you support Avery but I can't understand why you are trying to take out Golden in the Primary. You must like one of the other Republican candidates better. Would that be Stout or Paulette? Oh, I do see where you are against Paulette too. Guess my question has been answered.

Gubernatorial & Attorney General Debates Tonight

I liked the answers from all of the Republican Candidates for Governor, I am still having trouble deciding. I thought in the Attorney General debate that Preston Smith spent a lot of time attacking Sam Olens. I wondered if he was doing it to help Max Woods. It would explain why he jumped into that race so late. I have been looking for an answer to that. -

Hope this helps. http://ethics.georgia.gov/Reports/Campaign/Campaign_ByName.aspx -
Somehow I don't think that is the reason Kathy is not running as a Republican. She was on the board with Paulette whom you seem to feel voted the wrong way on taxes and bond issues. How is Kathy different in your view. She is the incumbent after all. Party affiliation did not make her vote the way she voted did it?
-
No bias here for the Democrat huh? I don't put much stock in this BS! Those campaigning for their opponents must really be reaching to accuse Crowe and Golden of hiring illegals. I want proof!! Do you have any? Have they been reported to ICE by anyone? Kathy West is a present member of the BOE and has been for several years. Why didn't she register as a Republican and run for that seat (as she has in the past)? Nick looks like a great candidate.

Nope not him. He appears to be way way way behind one of the others in total donations! I guess folks from out of county and out of state must be related to one of the candidates. Somebody really likes him! Nope not Golden either. Golden had about 1/4 of the total $ amount this year as the one who got the most $'s. Yes, Golden's did appear to come from Paulding County folks. -

I can't say that I disagree. Course there is always the 'write in' option. -
In a case like that I think the neighbors were rude and insensitive. I think if you know the event is happening the neighbors might let the guests park in their driveways if asked. I have seen school or church parking lots used and calls made for someone to pick up at those locations. Usually it is a friend who is designated as "The Taxi".

Just thought some folks might be interested. Especially if they are still undecided. Undecided seems to have an advantage right now. Gubernatorial (July 11) Democrats from 4:00-5:00 Republicans from 5:00- 6:00 Fox 5 Atlanta Attorney General (July 11) Republican Debate at 8:00 Democrats at 8:30 Georgia Public Broadcasting Hosted by the Atlanta Press Club

I have been afraid to go around the cars parked on the street in my Daughter's subdivision. You can't see up ahead and in the dark you can come up on one in the street before you know it is there. It happens all of the time too.
-
We like that one too (even better). Hope it does well. I think there is too much junk on TV and I am always glad to see new shows that we can enjoy.

They are out for the June 30 disclosure. Just looked at them. One candidate has tons more money than all of the others. If money alone could win an election this one would already be decided. -
I liked it and will be watching again.
