  2. I received an email this morning that included the following link:

    www.emergencyemail.org/newsemergency/anmviewer.asp?a=204&z=1

Sorry, the topic line should read that this recall was issued by the FDA. I received the info from a friend at the CDC.

  3. On the right going towards Dallas Hwy. before you get to the daycare center and shopping center. The land has been somewhat cleared for years and years, but know it looks like they've seriously cleared it and are getting ready to do something with it. Anyone know? Wish they'd include that rusty metal storage facility that somebody put up and then never finished.

Don't know about the land clearing but the metal building was going to be a feed store.

  4. Harmony Meadows Equine Rescue, a new equine rescue facility in Paulding Co., will be at the "Out Here With Horses" event along with one of the wonderful horses they have up for adoption. Please come by and meet Ms. Debbie and find out how you can help.

Out Here With Horses - June 23rd from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm @ the Dallas/Hiram Tractor Supply

  5. I have 2 prayer request that I would like to pass on to all of you..

    1. My sister-in-laws dad... has been in the hosiptal for over a week now, he has many health issues..

the dcotors told him that there was nothing left medical they could do for him, so they ask what he wanted to do, he said I want to go home... so the doctors said they would try it, but they doubted he would even make it out of the hoisptal... well we all followed the ambulance home with him last night, he made it home. he is now on hospice.. not expected to make it but a few days if that..

His pulse is already so weak they can not pick it up, his blood pressuring is droping, but through it all he got his wish of being home that was all he wanted, and his family made sure they tried to full fill that last wish... when he was taken off the meds they did not expect him to even make it out the door.. so it was a race to get him. home .. The Hospice had allready said if he dies on the way home the ambulance will turn around and bring him back to ER to pronounce him..

When the ambulance pulled up in his yard and they rolled him in his home... it was such a huge burden lifted from us all.. knowing that he had won his race to get home..

Please keep this family in your prayer this is the same family who lost their mom 8 months ago..

My sister in law and I are very close.. we have shared a lot of tears and smiles with each other over the 25 years we have known each other... The past couple of days and nights that I Have spent at the hosiptal with this family has really touched my heart to see how strong this family really is..

So please keep them in your prayers as they have allready lost thier mom and now they are loosing their dad...

For those of you who read the topic on here about the man wrecking and hitting first Baptist church in dallas a couple of weeks ago this is the same man, his sugar dropped to 25 and he passed out..

    2. My Daddy goes back in the morning (Friday at 10am) to get results of his test... so please keep him in your prayers, and keep me in good thoughts also,, so that when the doctor tells my daddy and mama the results that I can say something to be a comfort to them both..

Daddy has really gone down hill since he found out he has cancer.. he is weak, and just really hurts all the time... so he told me last night the results would not be good from the test.. he just knows it... so please keep us in your prayers in the morning..

Your family and your SIL's family are in my prayers. I lost my mom at the end of Feb.

  6. Any others? I am actively looking for something closer to home also. I have worked at Home Depot (Corporate) for almost 21 years. Most recently in Supply Chain, but have had experience in Merchandising and Advertising.

I am open to anything, not necessarily in my current field. In fact, a career change would be great.

Please send me a PM with your e-mail address and I can send a copy of my resume.

    Sent you a PM.

  7. Do you know if anyone is hiring for an executive or administrative assistant? I am actively looking and I want to stay near home if possible. I have experience in marketing, sales, and administration.

    Thanks!!

    Yes! Sent you a PM.

  8. Can someone tell me the telephone number for this business, and tell me where it is located?

They are located on Dallas/Acworth Highway in Dallas. Sorry, I don't have the phone number.

  9. The stew is NOT homeade , their thousand island dressing is Ken's, The desserts are from a box-- Things are not what they seem there.

This is interesting info since my hubby bakes some of the cakes.

  10. Yes, we live in New Hope, off of Mt. Tabor. It probably is the same bunch. The momma (or daddy) hung out around the perimeter of our yard all evening. The momma/daddy was very intimidating, if you got kinda close you could see her take off in the woods and she was HUGE!! Every now and then we saw her in the trees and she didn't take her eyes off of you. We tried to take a couple of pictures of her, I will post them later when I get home. This morning I looked around for the baby but I didn't see it right away, I'm going to look a little harder later. We have a coyote that lives around our yard somewhere so I sure hope it didn't get it.

To be so close to Dallas Hwy we have a TON of wildlife, we had a about 3-4 opposums living in yard when we first moved in (but our dog took care of them  ) and had some tiny little baby rabbits and still do and two or three times a year a big "gaggle" of turkeys comes through.

I live in the same area. I was riding one of my horses in my arena late one evening and one of those big owls flew up from behind just a couple of feet above my head and straight out in front of me. I could feel the air moving from under it's wings.

  11. Someone tried to snatch my son a few years back. It was at the Save Rite that was on Rt 61. He was in the seat of the cart and I was at the other end bent down looking at paper cups that were on the bottem shelf. She tried to grab him out of the seat. When I popped up she bolted. I was so stunned I couldn't remember anything except the design on the paper cups.

    Frightening!
