  1. I am from Memphis where they make the best barbq in the world,

I prefer Merles on south 61, not much to look at little hole in the wall place.

But then again they tend to be the best anyway,

    Sonny's is umm yuk!

Rodneys is kinda mainstream middle of the road, I would eat there again,

Hickory hut is not my cup if tea and hygenicly challenged at times.

Jim n Nick's Is main stream palatable, and I would go there again.

There is one on west memorial I need to try, I heard a lot of good things about, any one know the name?

Sorry, LP, but the best BBQ comes from Alabama!!!

    ;)

  2. I know Ms LL knows where to get it - but Ladd's in Cartersville had some that was pretty decent for $5 a bale - but a 20 bale limit - which was fine, cuz I can only get 20 on the trk at a time anyway ! Two trips was not a problem - got some real good hay, burmuda/fescue mix from Lawson's -

Hey, Ms LL - let me know too !

    Will do!

  3. Anyone know where I can buy around 50 bails of fescue hay. I don't have room to store the rolls, only the bails, so if anyone has any leads for me, please let me know! Thanks in advance, I need some really really soon!

I just purchased 250 bales of fescue and I believe they have a few left. Please send a PM for the number.

  4. IS THIS SOME KIND OF A SECRET PLACE OR SOMETHING? WHY NOT JUST POST ALL THE INFO ON HERE SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER AND RESPOND TO 50 PM'S?? :p

I prefer to answer the PMs. For the safety of the children who ride here, I don't publish the address or put up signs.

  5. This year LauraLeigh Farms annual fall festival will be open to the public. We will have pony rides, cake walks, face painting, a costume contest, pumpkin painting and much more. If you're very brave, you can take a hayride through the haunted forest. Or just sit back and enjoy a hotdog, corndog or some of our delicious homemade treats. This years festival will be held on October 27th from 6:00 pm to 10:00pm. Please send a pm for prices, directions or additional info. The Ghost Rider and I will be looking forward to meeting you!

  6. This is the plane that we reported to the FAA this afternoon for hedge hopping over my riding arenas. They explained that another plane had just gone down and that the pilot was searching for it. I heard a plane flying very low over my property one afternoon and discovered a biwing doing loops just above my riding arena. I get "buzzed" by planes out of McCollum pretty frequently. I guess some of the pilots get a kick out of trying to frighten the horses.

  7. Wow...PM me a number and I'll get someone to come get them...or I'll come get them...I'm not sure if anyone has taken any by the Shelter but if anyone is holding any of these...please PM me a number and I'll try to pick them up if you're not coming near the Shelter or by Dallas Billiards any time soon.

To my knowledge we still don't have any of these in our hot little hands and need quit a few so please keep your eyes open when you are doing the yard-sale thing this weekend....

I took the 3 large crates to the shelter last week. I owe you an apology, MizCue, I didn't get your message about the fund raiser until late Friday night. The phone number that I posted was the rescue number and not mine. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for more crates.

  8. As soon as I get back from the gym around noon, I will PM Lovemylife, Madea and Animal with the recipe from the old cookbook. You all will love it, it is so good. If anybody else needs it just let me know. :)

I would like a copy, also.

    Thanks!

  9. I checked that junkyard yesterday and nobody was home. The house is being remodled.

I got home from my grandson's birthday party a few minutes ago and my red and white Border Collie was on the front porch frightened out of his wits. I have no idea what happened to him. He is a rescue that had been severely abused. He sometimes barks at rocks in the back yard and moves them around but he never leaves the yard.

  10. Oh My!!! How did I miss all this...??

    Wonderful! Thanks Wendy  !

Great LLF  .... I don't think we have any large ones yet!!!!

Hey Pins  , That's super! Give me a land mark so I know what area you are talking about...Maybe we can meet up.

If anybody has one or some you want to drop off, and they are around the Merchant's Drive area after 6:00 PM, You can drop them at Dallas Family Billiards...any night...

Just secured two more large crates for you! I'll need help getting them to you. I have a torn rotator cuff and can't lift anything over 20 lbs.

  11. :excl: In light of recent hurricanes and fires, a plan for disaster relief for animals in the event of a local catastrophic occurance is being developed and implemented. The current push is to acquire cages and crates to be used for evacuation and holding of animals involved in the crisis.

Several times this weekend, I saw ads for animal crates for sale for $5.00. If there are still any out there, and they are sound and not rusted, I would be happy to purchase them at $5.00.

As you "Yard Sale Shopping P.Comers" go out and about in the community on yard sale days, please keep your eyes open for inexpensive crates and cages. I would be happy to reimburse you if you find them selling for about $5.00 each.

Please keep your eyes open for this needed item should a disaster occur!
