  1. You must be referring to those young men in TN. that were planning to shoot everyone they could until they got to Obama.

I must be confused about the facts.

I was under the impression that the haters on both sides of the issue might endanger us all because they feel the opportunity is there.

I will continue to pray that nobody is hurt.

Just running for public office takes courage these days.

  2. My daughter and Granddaughter will be heading that way also with 4 kids to compete. If you are in the Perry area this weekend, stop by the fairgrounds and see what all these children have accomplished. You will be amazed at some of the things these kids can do on horseback.

I hope to introduce myself to your daughter and granddaughter while in Perry.

  3. This Friday morning I will be headed for Perry, GA with 4 young volunteers and 3 horses. We have 4 athletes competing from my stable but there will be athletes attending the competition from all over the state. If any of you are interested in attending, the event is at the state agri center in Perry (exit 135 off I-75). Competition begins on Friday with Futures, Dressage and Unified Drill Team. Saturday they will be competing in Showmanship and Equitation. Sunday they will compete in Trail. Opening ceremonies are Friday night. Please remember these athletes, volunteers and the horses in your prayers.

    Thank you!

  4. My maternal grandfather called his preteen grandkids "big yearlings". He had nicknames for almost everyone: Puddle, Leroy, Cry Hill, Old Gosh, Alice John, Tater, Nahew, etc... but my favorite was what he called my dad's older brother and his family. They were the "dear children". He also used a random term that my aunt recently asked me about. He would hold his hand in front of his face and make a "v" with his index and middle finger and say "skeep!". That was his impersonation of someone who dipped snuff spitting. He also made up some of the wildest stories I have ever heard. My aunt is writing all this stuff down for his grandchilren, great grandchilren and great-great grandchildren. It's been a hoot just reminiscing with her.

  5. It's the name of our horse farm. Laura is my granddaughter's first name and Leigh is my daughter's middle name. I wanted to call the farm Happy Hollow Farm after my oldest AQHA mare, Happy Hollow. My husband said "I will not tell my friends that I live in Happy Holler!" :p
