  3. I think I saw that cat not too long ago, I didn't know it was missing. It was in my driveway but it wouldn't come to me. I will keep an eye out for her.

I couldn't find this thread for a few days. I lost tract after being in the hospital. Thank you for watching for my cat. A neighbor's dog has gotten out several times recently and has been chasing my horses. The last time anyone saw my cat was the day we frightened the dog away for chasing a miniature horse that we have here. Iddy has never been gone this long before.

  4. A wonderful couple has donated solar powered camera that we'll be posting by a bird feeder at McKenna Farms so that children that are unable to go on the trail for whatever reason. The feed will come directly into the clinic so they, too, can watch the action at the feeder and the bright colors of the feathered folk. At any rate--is there anybody on here who might be willing to donate their time to install this camera? I don't know anything about technology-I can *barely* get on pcom...

Hubby installed all our cameras here; I'll ask him. I'm sure he will be glad to help.

  5. I've tried everything. I have no children. Yes, I have a job. I don't really have any hobbies other than reading/brainiac things. Retail therapy doesn't work any longer. Husband is gone for business for a VERY prolonged period of time. What is a happily married, 30 something year old woman to do in Paulding County when she is bored out of her mind? I'm about to resort to picking up a drinking habit or never leaving my room. And before anyone opens their mouth about finding a hot guy on the side, I've already thought about that. It simply won't work for me. My highlight of the day is the UPS guy :nea:

Come on, gimme some ideas!!! I'm open for volunteering, art classes, book clubs, Trivia groups, cooking schools, ANYTHING!!!! I just don't see anything in the Paulding area. Enlighten me PLEASE before I go insane! There HAS to be something to do!

If you like horses, Harmony Meadows Equine Rescue is always looking for volunteers.

The Special Olympic equestrian program will begin soon at my barn. I need volunteers to help with the athletes and the horses.

  6. Have you found your " Iddybiddykiddy" yet?

If not, have you checked at the shelter & do you have a picture of her?

I haven't found Iddy yet. I just spent two days in the hospital so I'll check the shelter today. She disappeared for a couple of days last year and came home with scotch tape in her fur.

  7. My barn cat, Iddybiddykiddy, has been missing now for a couple of days. I live close to the old drag strip. Iddy rarely leaves my barn area and stays on my property. She disappeared overnight about a year ago and came home with scotch tape stuck on her backside. She is a small, solid gray, spayed, female with green eyes and answers to Iddy. If anyone sees her, please pm me. She is a working cat but also a beloved pet.

  8. So, how come no one ever complains that this type of sport is cruelty to animals. For once, I might agree. Really sad to see this sort of thing happen again.

A lot of horse lovers have complained for a lot of years but money talks. A two year old horse is still 3 years away from maturity. I equate it to "toddler pro football".

  9. Any statement or question that begins with: You should, You ought to, Why don't you, You need to, etc...

    People who assume

People who stare at children in wheelchairs

People who scream at their children for making mistakes in sports

People who take good health for granted

People who sweat the small stuff

People who don't take accountability for their own actions

    Braggers

    Horn tooters

    Liars

    Great list!!!

  10. On March 29, 2008 I lost part of my Heart.. I lost my Daddy; I want to share the last couple of his days here on this earth with all of you since you have traveled this journey with me since May of last year.

Daddy knew who I was up till Friday Night, we talked, and I told him over and over how much I loved him, and he Thanked me for helping take care of him and spending the last year of my life with him, He said he knew it was not easy for me to put him before my own life, with me trying to work, and take care of my family, but if it was possibly he loved me even more for taking the last year of my life and giving it to him.

Saturday morning he was pretty much out of it, he was going back in time, and he worked me and my sister like crazy building a building that we had helped him on when we still lived at home. His little hands was just a working, he completed the building and told me he was tired. So I told him to rest Daddy, he had worked hard all of his life and now he needed to rest, and I would finish up what had to be completed, he said ok. I told him I loved him with all my heart.

Two hours later my daddy took his last breath on this side of this earth. He passed peaceful, and as he took his last breath my hand was on his heart and I was holding his hand. He did not struggle for air, he did not choke, he went without pain, and closed his eyes.

It is still hard for me to believe that my Daddy is gone. I just can not believe it, I came home Monday evening, to let me mama have her time to grieve for my Daddy, I have spent the last 2 weeks by my Daddy’s side, and then by my Mama’s side. We have cried, and laughed, and then at times just sit and said nothing.

I will miss my Daddy but I would not bring him back for anything in this world, for him to have to go through what he did this past year.

I want to thank everyone for your prayers, phone calls, cards, flowers, food, the Angels that where left here at my home for me all have been placed in a memorial garden for my Daddy that I have made. But most of all I am so Thankful that God seen fit to take my Daddy peacefully.

Rest in Peace Daddy……. May the Angels watch over you

God bless you, LR. I lost my Daddy in 1992 but he visits often in my dreams.
