  1. No mean was when I also added a scoop of mixed nuts in the shell. LOL That too was brought over from my childhood and this year my daughter has asked me NOT to do it (she has braces and can't eat them anyway) LOL. CarolineElizabeth's daughter pulled one of mine down on her head...the child never shed a tear and it made a little cut at the top of her head. No stitches thank god...Just a panicked me and sore little girl.
  2. :yahoo: I couldn't agree more!! And if it rains with a 29 degree temp, it's not going to snow, but turn to ice...and that would suck.
  3. I've been forced into SAHM status. It's not something I plan on continuing after this baby is born. I enjoy working and have my own time. I don't like being expected to do every little thing around the house simply because I'm not working or having dinner on the table by x time. As for money..right now I'm selling my crafts again. That's about all I can do. But as soon as I can...I'm going to be working again.
  4. Nope, doesn't bother me...and IMO...people get offended WAY too easily...
  5. 1 large red apple and 1 large navel orange go in the toe (it's a tradition brought over from my childhood) then they get things like tooth brushes, hand santizer, lotions, small toys, deodorant, candy and other goodies...usually they are laying down under the tree and are over flowing. They get to open their stockings while I'm crawling out of bed and heading for the coffee pot.
  6. So far we just have one. Every Christmas eve the kids get to open 1 gift. It's their new pajamas to wake up in Christmas Morning. I've done this since my 15 and 17 year old girls were toddlers. This year is our first Christmas together as a complete family (mommy, daddy, kiddos) in our home together. I'm looking forward to many many wonderful Christmas traditions to come!
  7. Well that's a given. Before giving a teen a phone, make sure they know what they've got. But...to save a lot of hassle and arguments...for just $20 a month, unlimited texts.
  8. I don't care you you are, if you're riding my arse, you WILL get break checked....I might be a little easy with that check if it's a cop, but that yoohoo needs to back the heck off the same as anyone else. I drive about 5 over normally unless in the interstate, then I keep it under 10 over. It doesn't change if there is a cop behind me. And it irritates the heck out of me when people slow way down cuz of the officer. I've been stuck in more traffic jams because people are afraid to drive around cops.
  9. 2 words...UNLIMITED TEXTING. When you have a teen, it's a lifesaver.
  10. I love the name!! Congrats!! We find out January 20!
  11. Yeah, the pictures were great!! Here's my crew from last year.
  12. Ok, first of all, OMG that tiny thing is EXPENSIVE!! And second...the ONLY way I would do it is if I was alone and temporarily.
  13. Ok Ok..I'll have Alden run yours over. I'm NOT mailing it. LOL
  14. I noticed that shortly after Tday. I think it's cute!! Although right now I'm pissed at Uverse. For some stupid reason I can watch ANY of my recorded shows. I've tried resetting the box and it still doesn't work...and don't you dare try to record a program. It'll lock up the guide for hours. Uggggg.
  15. Pork Chops. Not sure what we're having with it...probably rice and corn on the cobb.
  16. Now I don't mind the candy, it's the rude a$$ kiddos who cut my poor son off to get to the candy. He's waiting patiently behind the rope for the officer to kick it over and the little brats are going under and grabbing it all.
  17. How can I forget. CarolineElizabeth made him go to MacFarlanes November 14 of last year, LPPT told him I thought he was cute and he'd get a lap dance from me..LOL My other friend tricked me into going outside with her, then asked him what his name was...told him my name...and left. Been inseperable ever since... Now we're engaged, living together and expecting a baby. Thanks guys. LOL
  18. The corner of 61 and ..I can't remember the street name, but it was right in front of Regions bank. I don't think it's so much the size of Dallas as it was the blatent lack of respect for the vehicles driving. Just because "pedestrians have the right of way" doesn't mean they have the right to dart out in front of moving vehicles. I don't know. I just saw it happen and do not know this boy or his family.
  19. I was out there freezing my toosh off...but it was worth it. Great show this year!
  20. From what I saw he was ok. Ambulance and peramedics were on their way as we were leaving. The woman who hit him was probably doing about 10 mph, if that...we were all stuck in traffic. This boy had the fatigues on from PCHS JROTC. He just ran out in front of traffic full speed and there was no way she could have missed him. He basically ran right into the hood of her car. He flipped over the hood, landed on the ground and immediately got back up...but after a second sat back down where he looked to be pretty stunned. Several men were around him to assist him. The poor woman involved ha
