You can't just hold other peoples kids hostage after midnight. If the kid wants to leave, the curfew violation is on the kid, and his/her parent....not the person's house they left from. I do, however, commend you for being aware of and trying to enforce the curfew laws of whatever children you've welcomed into your home for the night.

I'm so glad that I'm a department of 1, and that I'm busy enough minding my own business to not be concerned with what my coworkers are doing. Where I work, we're all salaried adults. As long as business gets handled and deadlines get met, it doesn't matter how many hours a week anyone logs in the office. There are days that I'm onsite from 8am til 8pm. Other days I roll in at 10 and leave by 4. It usually averages out. Same with my coworkers. No one feels the need to babysit anyone else, or compare timesheets.
