  2. great minds think alike. minus the olives and noodles.
  3. i think i'm gonna go float in the pool...
  4. and your friend didn't call 911 or stop to render aid because there were already emergency personnel attending to the person in the road, right?

  8. i don't even wanna know what my kids are doing. nor do i want them to know what i'm doing.
  9. another psa for new or infrequent users. you cannot have posts or threads 'removed'. you can delete your own writings, but that does little good if someone has already quoted you. commerce members can close their own threads. the rest of us have to use the report button and ask a mod to close a thread. (you can only have a thread that you started closed.) so, for those who get hot under the collar and them proclaim that you're going to contact p.com and have something removed.....think again. what you write here is generally preserved for all to read, at their leisure. mean wha

  12. nfortunately, children will try to manipulate parents using whatever tools they can. another drink of water, another story, needing the closet inspected, being afraid of the dark. all common tools that children use to guilt their parents in to letting them stay up later than their normal bedtime. as important as reading is, so is rest. you have to be firm and consistant about bedtime. try letting her know a half hour before her bedtime that she needs to pick out her stories and when the last one's done, it's lights out. help her conceptualize how long it takes to read one book and then dec
  13. and dogs are not allowed inside the athletic fields.
  14. i just dragged out all my fall/winter stuff to go through....i have tons of pants, a few sweaters, and some long sleeve shirts that are in good condition, and work appropriate.
  15. back when the sims was a popular computer game, i used to play it all the time. my favorite thing to do was build a big pool, and invite all the neighbors over. once everyone was in the water, i'd take away the ladder. one by one, they'd all drown and turn in to little urns, sitting at the bottom of the pool. occasionally one would turn in to a ghost. this was serious entertainment for me. and yes. i'm morbid. and no, this thread is no place for me and my flippancy. but i couldn't help it. the title sucked me right in! prayers for the little girl.
  16. it's more about what's in the pool. let me preface this story by saying that i had not been following this missing girl's case, at all. and her name in the title, well, it kinda threw me, and reminded me of something terrible i did a while back.
  17. meet me at the park so i can verify. you know which one. and don't park next to any uhauls or box trucks. that's where they hide the surveillance equipment.
  18. it might have just been a childish display of anger over the arrests made in the park, and the fact that now a new spot must be found. just sayin'. not everyone has successfully mastered controlling their temper.
  19. it's not an urban legend unless it mentions 'slashing ankles'
