  1. That would be the preferred, most economical and the overall optimal way for this to end.
  2. Some things are more important than political differences. Family and pets are two of those things. I'm sorry Pubby and I will keep an eye out for you.
  3. I'm sure that if and when any of these police killer suspects are taken and arrested alive that our Attorney General will IMMEDIATELY charge them with hate crimes. She will do that, won't she?
  4. Or maybe it was just a screw up that can be resolved by a phone call from DR. I hope that's all it is. Sounds like she has a very legitimate gripe. Not everything is political.
  5. The next time you need a new, innovative therapy to treat a disease, call your politicians and let them develop it. They will no doubt do as great of a job with that as they do everything else.
  6. I'm sure that those specific offers did something dreadful to justify this. (Heavy Sarcasm)
  7. Sounds like you are more of an observer than a doer. Why not join the police force and then you, too can decide in a split second whether to shoot or be shot.
  8. That's funny. We feel the same way about the left.
  9. No. It is more prophylactic in nature than reactionary. The time for peacekeepers in this situation would have been very early, before the killing started/escalated. That ship has sailed. While the UN meets, pontificates and congratulates itself on its own self importance, people are dying and a worldwide refugee crisis has begun. Had they helped earlier and set up large scale refugee camps locally and protected the people, this worldwide situation would not be the issue that it is now. If ever there was a time for the UN, then helping keep this mess from starting and providing safe, protected
  10. You just made my case for me better than I could have ever made it myself. Again, I stand by my initial assessment. The UN is worthless. And NATO is not a worldwide organization. It is regional in scope.
  11. Peacekeeping in the Syrian civil war might have been a good place for them to earn their keep. Just sayin'.
  12. We have a world on fire and an organization that has done precious little to stop it. I stand by my original position. The UN is worthless.
  13. Would you have posted this with the same level of excitement had it been the chief of MSNBC? Somehow I doubt it.
  14. You had the right idea but the wrong country. Who would have thought it would've been Turkey when you posted this. The world is changing quickly
  15. The peace existed better than it does now when ISIS was a "JV" team. Peace might have been kept in the early stages of the Arab Spring. But thats water under the bridge. Lets keep supporting a useless organization.
  16. I am a member. I am a taxpaying citizen of the United States of America, the host country of said organization. Nothing personal, but if you think we are at peace, then you and I have a different opinion of the definition of that word.
  17. Ostensibly, we have organizations like the UN to do just that....take care of these things in an orderly way so that we dont have a bunch of vigilantes out trying to carry out their own brand of justice.
  18. The UN is pretty much worthless. If they are not going to help "Unite the Nations" in a stand against a worldwide terror epidemic then they have no reason to exist as an organization. If the world cannot "Unite" behind this, then this organization is not serving its purpose. If it is a peacekeeping force, then keep the peace. Ask the French if they feel peaceful today.
  19. Quick question: I bought a 2009 Toyota Camry and I am having problems getting the low beams adjusted properly. Does anyone know of a shop around here that specializes in adjusting headlights? I dont mean just aiming them at a wall and eyeballing it. I mean using a special machine that gets them aimed perfectly. I know those machines used to exist but I have not seen one in a long time. Any idea of anyone reasonably close to here who can do that professionally and get the headlights aimed accurately?
  20. I am not a big fan of the United Nations just to get that out of the way up front. However, since it is clear that we are in what could easily be labeled World War 3 in the battle agaisnt terrorism, it would seem that this might be a great opportunity for the UN to actually be useful instead of taking up valuable real estate and taxpayer dollars in New York. They have been strangely quiet. If this is not a time for them to take a stand then they may as well disband.
  21. I don't know the man. I am curious about his position on the airport in particular but taxes, growth etc as well. Any insight?
