Small Hijack For all of you businesses out there... I can help with that!! End of Hijack If you are having work done to your home, this is a must. You should ask for all three, particularly if it is a home improvement project. If they are bonded/insured, you are protected if someone is injured, if something is stolen from you, and if they damage any of your property. They are responsible anyway, but if they don't have these things in place, then they probably don't have assets to go after. The license at least means that they care enough to go through the hassle of applyin

Ok.... so I'll ask the obvious... well first, that is one funny story. But back from my own hi-jack. How the crap did a snake get on the ceiling fan?

I can't remember the last time I used a hard copy phone book.

Put them next to the 'hootch and float 'em like in Mississippi. The actual casino is floating in river water! I'd like a good casino with real table games and cards, not machines. (slight highjack)... did Cherokee or Shorter ever get real table games (with cards), or are they still all machines.

California Father Refuses to Take Down Tattered U.S. Flag
HiramInsAgency replied to OldGoat99's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yep, we had another thread on this... it is one of my pet peeves. If you are going to fly it, fly it right!! If I know the person, or it's a business, I'll stop and suggest that they change the flag. I have had them changed at some of the county facilities, and in my office complex. I've also been told that it was none of my business. -
MAD MEN IS BACK! PREMIER TONIGHT AT 10:00

I had never watched it, but with the crap on the tube the last few months, my wife and I found it in On-Demand. LOVE the show. Being about the age of the kids on the show during that time, it brings back all kinds of childhood memories. From the cloths to the toys that the kids get, it's pretty neat! -

Court to decide if riding lawn mower is a “motor vehicle”
HiramInsAgency replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
By definition it is motorized and a vehicle, even though it's primary purpose is not the transport of people, but the mowing of grass. ve⋅hi⋅cle /ˈviɪkəl or, sometimes, ˈvihɪ-/ [vee-i-kuhl or, sometimes, vee-hi-kuhl] –noun 1. any means in or by which someone travels or something is carried or conveyed; a means of conveyance or transport: a motor vehicle; space vehicles. IMO if it is being used for transportation, it should be classified as a motor vehicle, and subject to such laws and regulation, including insurance, taging, and DUI laws. Welcome neighbors! I look forward to taking a ride. Are you going to have a web site? -
I haven't seen it in a while, but my favorite so far is the one from the FBI. It is basically the same scam, but the FBI is saying that they have checked it out, and you should contact them.

Intersection of Swan Drive and Cagle Way. They were out there for a while.

Just heard a collision outside, went out, and at the intersection there appears to be a police vehicle and another one. Then two SO's come out of the cul-de-sac towards the intersection. Looks like a planned bust of some kind??

Who whould decide what is nutritious? Would it be the same government that counts catsup as a vegetable, and a "balanced" meal in school is pizza and corn? Nope... government is way to much in our lives already.

Homeowners Insurance VS Decreased Property Value
HiramInsAgency replied to rockster's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Even though the market or assessed value of your home has gone down, the cost of reconstructing or repairing it has not changed much. In the current market, you might find a combination of motivated builder and motivated suppliers and get a decent deal on reconstruction, but would you want to take a chance? -
Congratulations!! We'll miss seeing you guys, but it sounds like a wonderful situation for the two of you. Make sure to bring the new owner's around the "hood" to meet everyone!

My wife has been on one about 10 years, and I have been on one for about 4 now. As others have said, all the stuff they are telling you is true. It is a very serious condition, and you need to use the machine. Find a mask or pillows that work. I had to have the pressure reduced for the first few months. The Dr. wasn't happy, but it made the difference in wearing it all night vs an hour or two!

Flag Etiquette

I fly this one every day, and change it every couple of months as weather dictates! Flying torn or faded flags has become a pet peeve of mine. I've never liked it, but now I say something if I see one. Remember, freedom has never been free, and the price isn't always paid on the battlefield. Remembering SrA Trey Brown
