  1. No I haven't heard from him. And thank you for passing my name along.
  2. You're welcome. I hope it helps.
  3. As soon as this goes viral I bet money there's a DFAC's complaint waiting on that idiot.
  4. Your tax assessment is based on a site appraisal performed by the county tax assessor. Historically it was approximately 60% of the current fair market value of your home. However, in the current climate, that's not the case. A lot of people appealed their most recent (in the last two years) assessments because unlike a traditional appraiser, county tax assessors are not required to use foreclosures in their comparable properties. The fact that your assessment has decreased is good from the perspective of your overall tax liability. The assessment should not be used as an indication of your cu
  5. My people have all sorts of fun holidays.
  6. You're one of my favs that I don't see near enough. I miss you and all of my Pcom friends. At least you get to spend time with my better half from time to time.
  7. Pcom started out as a time killer for me. It turned into one of the best things I ever did for my business and personal life. I can no longer remember my life before Pcom. Nor do I care to. Besides the business opportunities, I have made life long friends here and that's the most important thing Pcom has done for me.
  8. I just wanted to say another big thank you to the Pcom staff and community. I received yet another referral this evening because of a relationship I built through Pcom. Talk about a local business booster. Pcom is the best.
  9. As a real estate agent working all over metro Atlanta, including a significant work load in Paulding, I can't agree more. The key to getting out of this disaster is jobs, plain and simple. Continuing to operate as if Paulding can survive with a modicum of service oriented industry is exceptionally short sighted. Schools devour tax money. Tax money is generated largely from property taxes. Property taxes don't get collected from vacant property. Property doesn't remain occupied without local jobs. Local small business can't survive without consumer spending generated by local jobs. The old conc
  10. Try the laundromat in Rockmart in The Triangle shopping center. I can't recall their name off the top of my head. I took some blankets and curtains and things down there a couple of weeks ago to use the big machines and I think the lady told me it was like $.60/lb or something like that. Maybe that's wrong, but it seemed cheap to me. Plus it's clean and they are nice.
  11. I have been contacted today alone by four Pcom members looking for guidance with their real estate needs. It means a lot that people would chose to consult me when they need real estate assistance. I hope I've answered everyone's questions and guided them on the correct path. I really just wanted to say thank you for placing your trust in me and my service. I'm here for anyone that needs assistance. Have a great evening Pcom and thanks to Pubby and the entire staff for providing us a local outlet for news, entertainment and business.
  12. These are great tips. Thanks. Now if I can just find more Patsy Cline roses to plant (mine only survived three seasons) I'll definitely take this advice.
  13. Alison is a funny, funny lady. I've seen YouTube clips of her stand up and she's hysterical. http://www.hgd.com/alison/
  14. I rarely do open houses as they are an antiquated marketing tool these days. BUT...I love the idea of being one of those places where people can come in and check on the bucks. My office would be perfect for that. And on the rare occasion I did hold a house open, it would work too. PM me details of being one of those locations. Great idea you've got here.
  15. This is too funny. And a hell of a good promotion. Keep up the good work Pubby.
  16. You're sweet. Thank you. And just to be clear my last name is Willix. I know, people get confused all the time.
  17. Just sent you a PM but thought I'd try posting here too. Y'all put on a set of Yokohama's for me last year. I love them. However, I just walked out to leave my office and my left front tire is flat. Must have hit a nail or something. What do you charge to plug it if that turns out to be what's wrong? I'll put the spare on in the meantime. Thanks.
  18. I met LPPT first. It's an experience I'll never forget and a friendship I would never trade. She's a total PIA most of the time and yet you can't help but love her.
  19. Eh, we just sweat. I need to have the entire system replaced. That's several grand though, that I don't have. I refuse to spend any more money patching it. Until then we'll just live like the pioneers.
  20. My HVAC system is dead. It's been hot as hades in the house. 89 when we go to bed and this morning it was 83 when I woke up. We bought a couple of box fans this weekend and we have the windows open and the ceiling fans going non-stop. It's hot, but my power bill will be low, so at least there's that.
  21. No, the A in CMA stands for Association. As in the Country Music Association. The Country Music Association used to hold a DJ convention each fall to host all the country DJ's and say thanks from all the artists and record companies. Back then DJ's controlled what was played, instead of consultants and program directors. As for the DJ convention, they eventually added an awards ceremony where awards were given by the major recording trade publications. Side note, Patsy Cline won the Star of the Year award in 1962, effectively becoming the first woman to win the Entertainer of the Year award. A
  22. I know the definition of racism. I also know the definition of ignorant. I said she was ignorant, not racist.
  23. I'm still left wondering why she's not familiar with children that are not white. I mean really? REALLY? UGGGHHHHHH!!!! Ignorance makes me crazy.
  24. The Best of Craiglist is a guilty pleasure that I indulge in much too often. And this just blows my mind.
