  1. I had it done about 6 weeks before I got pregnant with my son...they were still healing and when combined with the pain that comes with early pregancy, I couldn't take it! They had to go! And yes, they healed up.

But no, that wasn't what affected breastfeeding. I wasn't able to nurse my daughter 7 years earlier...I just never made enough milk for whatever reason.

Well, I could have given you some of mine! When my son was discharged from Egleston I had way too much frozen breast milk in freezers all over that hospital! I had to defrost it and pour it down the sink after he was home because he could have never eaten what was stored for him.

  2. 1) I spent the first six weeks of my life in foster care, until I was adopted by the best parents a girl could ask for

    2) I graduated from one of the most exclusive private schools in Miami. Julio Iglesias, Jr. was 3 years behind me. OJ Simpson's kids went there too (after I graduated)

    3) I had a seizure disorder in my teen years and as a result, I'm still paranoid of strobe lights4) I used to have pierced nipples :ninja:

    5) I've had more than 40 different jobs since I started working at age 16, but have never been fired. I've worked in restaurants, auto body shops, a pet store, 5 law firms and spent an entire year working on an assembly line in western NY making a/c evaporators for Ford vehicles.

    6) My biggest regret in life is not being able to successfully nurse my kids :(

My son had a seizure disorder too. He can't stand flashing lights either.

The nursing your kids thing surprises me. :)

  3. 1. I also have a child with three nipples.

    2. My very favorite smell in the world is laundry right out of the dryer.

    3. My first car's horn was on the blinker (I had to push in the blinker to honk the horn).

    4. A classmate of mine was killed in the 1977 plane crash in New Hope.

    5. I was born on the very same day that the first Hard Rock Cafe opened in London.

    6. I have fed a giraffe from my hand.

    edited to add a # 7:

    7. I fell out of a moving car when I was 2.

  4. That was a great post FBBC! Kids need a reality check!

I remember when my oldest was still in elementary school and she was very "selective" about who she would even talk to. One boy in her Kindergarten class drew on himself with markers and she refused to speak to him for the rest of the year. In 5th grade, one of her classmates wore velcro shoes and she thought he was stupid because he must not know how to tie his shoes. However, she went through her "awkward" phase in middle school. During that same time her little brother was born with health problems. She and her sister watched him suffer through many things, one of them being a stroke. He survived and thrived, but was late in doing many things. Tying shoes may be a late achievement for him as well, I don't know.

I say all that to say this, my oldest may be more well rounded than her peers; but she had to really go through some things to get to that point. There is not even a trace left in her of the snobby child she was back in elementary school.

  5. I love Williamson Bros. sauce.

This past weekend at a family reunion I had the best sauce ever: Auburn University sauce. It was so good.

I have to limit the amount of prepared sauces I use though since I have to watch my sodium intake.

I think I will try making my own sauce, something not sweet at all and with a little kick. ;)

  6. My dream job would be to be a genetic bioengineer. I love studying about genetis, always have. I would love to be in a lab studying and reporting on birth defects and helping figure out ways to prevent them.

I have a few favorite places in which it would be great to have this job. Tampa,(area) Florida. South Alabama near the Gulf....maybe Foley or Bay Minette. Knoxville, TN would be fine with me as well since I'm thinking that if I had that kind of job maybe I could get seasons passes to the Vols games. However, I've never been any further west than Mobile, AL. So, it is quite possible that this dream job in the dream city "could be" in: Santa Fe, NM, Phoenix, AZ, Tucson, AZ, Salt Lake City, UT, or Jackson Hole, WY.

  7. Do you live in my neighborhood??? My neighbor has some sort of parrot that screeches so loud its has scared the snot outa me a couple of times....

barking dogs are a major pet peeve of mine....I do not understand people who can just let their dog bark and bark.

Maybe. Do you sometimes fear for your life because it sounds like a pteradactyl will swoop from the sky and carry you away? If so, then we may be neighbors! :p

  8. Gemini here also! :p ........ I am nice most of the time :glare: ... but I can become a monster if provoked!

    -------> Have a nice day! :D

Are Gemini's pissy? Cause I am a Gemini too!

    Yo' Superman???

    ...I wonder......

Ya think? "Superman" has had an illness lately and was hospitalized in Copenhagen, Denmark. I can send you a link so you can keep tabs if you're so inclined. That's how I know he has been sick. Funny; narcicisstic people just refuse to give up some things! ;)

  9. I've not read the posts thus far.

BUT, I haven't slept "unmedicated" in about a year. I went 4 months with very little sleep and no dreams. My Dr. put me on Ambien CR and I took that for 2 months, but I was still functioning at full throttle even when I thought I was asleep. <_<

I've been on Lunesta for several months now. Ahhhh, restful sleep! I only sleep about 4-5 hours straight through but even so I am happy with that!

Specking of Lunesta; time to take one and go nite nite!

  10. Full moon is coming, maybe that's why.

Other than that I've nothing to offer.

But I do want to give you props fro being a good neighbor. I wish my own neighbor felt the same way about the tropical bird in their backyard (a pen). That bird squawks and screeches as if begging to die!

  11. Yes, my children trick or treat. My oldest likes to hand out candy while I take the younger two out to beg for candy.

Halloween is my 2nd favorite day of the year! It is just plain fun to dress up in costume and get candy from your neighbors. :)

Nothing evil about kids doing that IMHO.
