You can count on being in my thoughts. I work with a relative of yours through marriage. She and her family were at the funeral home last night. You have been on my mind since I heard about this. I am so very sorry for your loss. :(

  2. Sorry, I couldn't vote. I just don't like any of those names.

    But hey, that's just me.

If I just "had" to name a boy with a "K" name I would pick either Keith or Kent.

Oh, and like some of the others who responded, I think that variences from the normal spelling of names are not a good idea. This is coming from an A-M-Y who is constantly asked how to spell my name. DUH! Spell it the right way.

  3. And I bet you love him somewhat because he's so cute too. right? :p :::hoping he will blush:::

Enjoy your gift. Personally, I can't think of which I dislike more: carrot cake or cheesecake. If I had to eat one of them or starve I would probably eat cheesecake. (barf)

  4. Exercise until you sweat. Do that for 30 minutes (after a while you will have to work harder to sweat) 5 times a week. Even 3 times a week will be beneficial.

Set a deadline for eating. Say it's 7 pm and that's your deadline for no more eating and you just have gotten dinner on the table for your family. It's past your deadline and you're hungry. Don't eat past your deadline.

    Eat breakfast. Every day.

Drink 1/2 your body weight (in ounces) every day. Every day.

    Take a multivitamin.

Don't eat until you're hungry. Don't eat just because it's "time" to eat.

These are the things that work for me.

  5. They like for HDL to be over 40 or 60, I can't remember.

My HDL was off the charts, which is good.

Say no to margarine, that stuff is bad.

EVOO mixed with equal parts butter for a spread on the whole wheat bread. :ninja:

  6. My "total" cholesterol is high. (233)

BUT, my HDL is over 100. So high as a matter of fact, that the machine could not record any LDL.....at all. Triglycerides are 76.

Looks like the heart healty Mediterranian thingy works.

  7. This post hits home with me. My children (3 of them) had slept in their own beds since coming home from the hospital.

However, when my youngest started climbing (and falling) out of his crib I got him a toddler bed. He slept in it for 2 nights. Since then, he has not slept alone. He was about 2 1/2 when he started getting out of his crib and is a little over 4 now. Usually he sleeps with my middle child. She (11 y/o) is now accoustomed to him sleeping with her and doesn't like to sleep alone either.

My advice is just be patient. Surely once they get married they won't want to sleep with us, right?
