I have heard good things about some of the groups on FB. There are school groups involved with PTA that a lot of parents are part of.

What on earth was that loud noise in New Hope?

Definitely a cover up. Heck I'm starting believe it really was tunnel work!! HAHAHA!

HHHHMMMMMM, that's a thought, we did have one not too long ago. -

And by 'not live without' you mean 'no way in heck fire we're doin' it', right?! No Twitter, no FB, no Instagram, etc. I prefer to live life than to keep others updated every second about what I'm passing on the road, what's on the plate in front of me at the restaurant, and so on. Mei lan is my partner in crime on this subject, but since we're almost the same person, no one should be surprised!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These added on sybols in everything I write are making me CR

Thank you. They came for dinner yesterday and she was quieter than usual, but she did laugh and cut up a tiny bit, so that's a start.

How could something be that loud, with at least 3 GIANT kabooms and no one have any info? It's really weird. -

It did and 3 grown ups and 2 kids all came running at the same time yelling,m 'WHAT WAS THAT'? Hubby noted the time, 8:26pm, just in case there was some damaging event we would need to answer questions about. C-R-A-Z-Y. -

Unless she had specifically been invited, I'd have sent her home by simply saying, 'XXXX will be home in a little while, we have a family dinner to go to. Bye bye'. If we INVITE we pay. I would never have allowed someone just to tag along, especially on my dime.

Good Lord, I have no idea. But it sure sounded like something exploded, it was no gun shot. -

My child was physically harmed, what would you do?
dawneykids replied to tonitwo's topic in RECENT TOPICS

Yea, what you said 100%. If someone wants to say something and it's actually true, get on here, say it and don't beat around the bush and then bash people for not being sympathetic. -

Yea, me too. -

In my opinion, she's found a sugar daddy in her friends father.

I am TOTALLY with you on this one. 'I can't investigate the people who write my checks'. I'm not biting without a lot more info. How old is the child? Where and when did it happen? What were the circumstances? And why get on a public message board and 'almost' talk about it? Nope, something's up. -

YAY!!!! That is so cool!!! Congratulations!!!!!

What a jack ass! Why isn't he being prosecuted? There's still more to this story I'll bet.

My husband said the same thing about the packages, it's good advice I'm thinking. I hope that we she won't have go through this again before she finally has a baby of her own, our fingers are crossed but who knows? I'm sorry for your losses as well, I wish child bearing was easy for everyone, but alas, it isn't. Thank you. Thank you everyone.

Those kisses do seem to help. Thanks y'all, your words really do help more than you know.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers, but unfortunately I have only sad news. This wasn't the time for a new baby at our house I guess. My daughter is heartbroken and as her mother, I have no band-aid big enough to fix it. To make things worse, I got home this afternoon with 2 big packages on the porch, one from Motherhood and one from Walmart with baby clothes, blankets and maternity clothes. I'm not one to be shy about buying things for my children, but this just makes me sadder. Of course there's nothing to say except 'I'm so sorry' and kiss her on the head. What normally co

We're on our way to the hospital, my daughter who is pregnant, just called hysterical that she's bleeding and cramping. This isn't good. How could I be so attached to a little one after only a week? I'm about to fall apart, but as the mom I can't.

Yes. ^^This.

Like y'all, our son has chores, expectations of good grades and good behavior at school, etc., and he does tend to get what he wants. But he still knows the boundries and he's one of the best kids with the biggest heart I've ever known. However, he has his days and he's corrected and put back on the right path. I think these parents may have been very lenient with no consequences with this girl, but that could be me too. I think the difference is the kid, she rebelled to get her way and mine never did. Thankfully.

My children have always told me that they are more afraid of me than any policeman ever born. I'm not a tyrant, I don't yell and scream, I'm usually pretty lenient, but they know what I expect and what I WILL NOT allow. The two oldest have never done drugs, been arrested and in no trouble at school. My SIL laughs because people are enormously intimidated by my husband, but he always tells people that they need to be very afraid of the short, black haired lady with the huge smile and warm heart. (And he's probably right). He tells them, 'Do not cross that
