  1. That how it has always been at our house too.
  2. I know!! I saw a lady get her head bent back until it was touching between her shoulder blades the other day, I swear I thought she was going to be paralyzed.
  3. I just read that she suffered from a migraine. The link is below. http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-health/20110217/US.TV.Reporter.Speech.Problem/
  4. Is it on Saturday too?
  5. So which one of us does that make more cynical?
  6. This is the lamest show on the planet and we still NEVER miss it. These people are whacko and we love it!!!!!!
  7. I'm convinced that this is a BS thread. First of all, the idea that someone would think this, much less put it on a chat board, is simply ridiculous. The OP KNEW it would cause a stir and it did just that, because it's unbelievable that someone is actually that ignorant. Secondly, for the OP to post again to bring it back to the top of the board to gain more outrage because it had been forgotten, is even more ridiculous. I don't believe that the OP wants pandas to be extinct, but thought so was funny to make fools out of the people who were so upset by it and he/she is sitting back laug
  8. This was on the BornFree site.............. Ringling Lawsuit Washington, D.C. (December 31, 2009) — Katherine Meyer, lead attorney for the plaintiffs in ASPCA, et al. v. Feld Entertainment, Inc. released the following statement on behalf of the plaintiffs regarding yesterday's ruling by Judge Emmet Sullivan of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia: "After a nearly ten year legal battle against the Ringling Bros. Circus regarding its mistreatment of endangered Asian elephants, a federal judge yesterday dismissed the case on grounds that the plain
  9. Not me. I complained about reps and did not complain about not getting freebies.
  10. Can you still go through CNN Center to get into the arena? Would taking the Martha train bypass these people and put you directly in the building? I can't remember.
  11. You don't think PETA peddles propaganda just like every other group with their own agenda in mind? If not, I have some great land I'll sell you in Florida. Ya know what? Don't fall for this PETA crap. Take your granddaughter to the circus and have a great time, if these animals were so mistreated by Barnum and Bailey, those circus trains would never roll out of home base.
  12. I don't even have any words for this topic, I'm too stunned.
  13. Oh yea...........thats the one!! I love it, but it kills me. And after listening to the KC song, I think I need a Valium!!!
  14. Be sure to post after you listen, I'm curious to what you think.
  15. Absolutely take your camera and go early. When we went last year, we were able to go onto the floor before the show started and see several performers up close and personal. They have clowns (which I hate) that you can have your pics with, you can dress up in super fancy circus costumes, jugglers are walking around, it was REALLY COOL! I'm sure it's the same this year, but I don't know how you could check. I hope ya'll have a blast!!!!
  16. OK......I'm not a crazy pregnant woman and I'm way past weepy! I have never heard this song, wow! Alan Jackson has a song called 'Sissys Song' about a close friend of their family who was killed in a car wreck. I CANNOT listen to it because all I can see is my sisters smiling face who passed away suddenly 3 years ago. The first time I heard it, I thought Hubby was going to have to take me to the hospital because I truly lost it. You rock on and on thinking you're fine and all is well and then BOOM!! Something hits you and that delicate balance you have created just crumbles. You shou
  17. I am totally with you!! And I LOVE trashy romance novels too, Hubby calls them 'bodice rippers', because of the way the covers used to look. I love yard sales and thrift stores as my sources.
  18. I'm sorry I haven't updated earlier but it has been a hectic day. Grandson got here at 7:30 and we have been going strong ever since. SIL is responding to the massive amounts of antibiotics and they did some sort of test this morning to make sure he wasn't septic because the infection was so bad. Of course, when we heard the word 'septic' you panic because often that outcome isn't so good. Luckily, he wasn't, his white blood count had gone down a little and they are checking it again late tonite and if it is down any more at all, they are removing his tonsils at 6:30 in the morning.
  19. If I remember correctly, there was huge opposition to it. A lady come to our church thinking that she was going to gain sympathy for her cause by talking about how only poor people would buy lottery tickets looking for the American dream, while taking food out of their childrens mouths. Saying things like, 'instead of buying milk, they will by a lottery ticket just trying to get ahead'. With that ridiculous statement, I got up and walked right out on her. The lottery had/has nothing to do with the decisions we make, it's all about choice, just like it should be a choice to buy alcohol on S
  20. I'm glad I'm not the only one!
