Yes, indeed. We ordered cream horns for a party for about 50 people. We ordered 2 dozen and when I picked them up, each of them was about the size of my forearm and they were delicious. We had cream horns for days and days! YUMMY!

Father of 2 Decapitates Himself, Sets Fire
dawneykids replied to DomesticViolenceByProxy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
He decapitated himself? How exactly do you do that? -
That's a cop out. If you give good service and supply a good product you have a much better chance to succeed than if you supply neither. I drive to Cartersville to Agans Bakery on Main Street when I need something special. It would be more convenient to go to a local place on 92 and if they had have run their business better, they may still be there. Taxes and fees have nothing to do with bad product and service. Yes, the first owners were great and had good products and variety. When it sold, it went to He!! in a hand basket.

I wish I could help you, but when we had an estate sale for my MIL, we had 2 different people come by and offer to take all the leftovers off of our hands. At that point they could have had them for free just to be rid of everything and clean out the house. I called and called for two days to both men and neither ever called me back. That's one way to run a company I guess.

We were at Kennestone once and there was an obviously very sick person right across from us. She was put in line, her husband eventually rushed in and by this time she was literally blue. Her dr sent her to the ER because he thought she had a collapsed lung and there she sat, turning blue, waiting in line with the guy with the hangnail. I'm thinkin' that her dr wanted immediate care for her right then, not 4 hours later when it could be too late. I thought it was awful, but what do I know?

We put a tight baby shirt on our dog in lieu of a Thunder Shirt and it calms her a bit, but she still hates the thunder and the shirt. But without it, she's out of control during a bad storm like we're having now.

I hate this for a local business, but since they've opened, I've been in at least 5 times and every time, the cases were all but empty and there was no one to offer any help. The one time we did buy something, it was so stale that middlescholer wouldn't even eat it. That's pretty bad.

Thanks for the info, but at our house Kraft cheese slices disappear so fast the expiration date is never even looked at.

I did read the article, but words like 'in surveys', are huge red flags for me. What survey? Whose survey? How many people were surveyed? There are too many people with their own agenda to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

OH, me neither. We've told them since she started walking to find a new dr and unfortunately because of trust and not wanting to make waves, they listened to her dr and trusted him. Not me, been there, done that. I have no qualms about finding a dr that listens and acts on my concerns.

Something similar happened to our neighbor..................THANKFULLY!! Her daughter is 5 years old and since she began to walk she has had a severe limp. Her dr since birth repeatedly told her mom and dad that she was lazy, overweight, clunky, etc. When that office refused to take her ins after 'Obamacare' kicked in, she was forced to find a new dr ASAP. The first visit, the dr said to the mom, 'Why haven't they done anything about her gait, there is obviously a problem'. Mom explained the situation and she was at an orthopedic the next day. Turns out that she has a congenitial birth

Most of us know exactly how it feels to lose something sentimental and the need to replace it. As dumb as it sounds, I had a Tupperware deviled egg keeper that belonged to my mom and about a year it got set on the hot stove and part of it melted. I was devastated. It was a piece of plastic that help eggs, but the memories attached to it were very real. Hubby has since bought me 3 just like it at various estate sales and I'm glad to have them, but they're not my moms. I'm all about preserving memories, whether it be a singing fish or a piece of Tupperware.

I agree and he handled it for sure. He is 5'6", weighs 150 lbs, is a black belt in PIl Sung Do. He won't kill a moth in the house, but he plays Call of Duty. When I dropped him at the birthday party yesterday, all the kids came running all yelling, 'XXX is here, XXX is here'. The dad smiled at me and said, 'From what I understand, he's a grand champion rock star'. I had no idea. he totally surprises me sometimes.

I was so afraid of bullying when middleschooler went to Moses that I couldn't sleep. He has the biggest heart and is a really nice kid and he just seemed like a target. He was, but what I never considered was how he would handle it. That came when the same kid bullying him began bullying 2 of his friends, that was the line in the sand. Bully boy began acting out at an assembly, middleschooler and another boy stood up to him and made it cleart that they wouldn't let their tiny little friend be pushed around, a teacher saw and heard the goings on and took bully boy away and he was in trouble. I just now read on Comcast that she was in critical, but stable condition, it said nothing about life support. Maybe TMZ is talking out their a$$ again.

YAAAAAAAAAAY! It's good to hear positive stories! I saw my mom go through it and it sucks. I'm all about prevention. I know and you're right about a blood test, you'd think as much as they can do these days, medically, that would have been invented by now.

If being uncomfortable for a bit by having my boob mashed between two pieces of glass could prevent me from dying from breast cancer, I'm not going to complain.

Will GA Schools Feel The Cost Of Educating Illegals Too?
dawneykids replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
How can that be? You 'age out' here in GA I think at 20 or maybe 21. Also, you have to have proof of residence, birth cert., shot record, SS number, and eye and dental form from the health dept to enroll in school. Maybe in Massachusetts it's different, but here, you can't just walk off the street and go to school. -
Having the education doesn't make you a good nurse. In any profession, you can have highly educated people and they still may do a poor job. Nurses, doctors, mechanics, CEO's, etc. And as far as my situation goes, there was nothing for her to throw up in and the two nurses standing 8 feet away looked at both my husband and me like we had two heads when we said we needed some kind of basin for her to use. Neither moved. They weren't helping anyone dying in any room and they weren't helping my daughter either. It took 10 minutes to get any help. Not OK regardless of their education.
