  1. I just saw on the news that the shooter was in trouble 8 years ago for assault with a deadly weapon and gun charges.
  2. I can't possibly see how people could be any more stupid. It's scary.
  3. Is he also trying to figure out a way to come get him and help him or has that already happened?
  4. Sirens have been passing for 25 minutes and stopping just past my neighborhood where the Chevron is on the corner of Ivey Gulledge and Old Cartersville. I hope no one was hurt. Yep, Hubby just got home and there was another wreck at the stop sign.
  5. Not Craigs list, that's for sure. I'd try for word of mouth or a friend of a friend of a friend.
  6. Thank you. It's so immature and childish to accuse people of 'not being able to comprehend English' when they don't agree with your opinion. You're the only one losing credibility in this topic.
  7. Exactly, then it's a speed trap. Don't speeders often cause they very accidents they want the police to prevent? People are never happy, even when they cause their own problems. WRONG. I read the ENTIRE post and then I responded.
  8. Hubby and I were watching the news one afternoon and they suddenly interrupted with 'BREAKING NEWS', 'There is police activity on Bankhead hwy. No information as to what is happening, but we'll have more on this story later'. What story, was there a story? They never mentioned it again.
  9. I fail to see how giving an admitted speeder a ticket and possibly preventing an accident, damages the credibility of the sheriffs office. It seems to me that the credibility would be more damaged if they turned a blind eye and let you speed on past. It's also ridiculous to want officers posted at places where accidents may occur. Seriously? We'd have to have 4,000 officers in the county. Accidents are just that, accidents, they aren't predictable. As far as revenue goes, of course it's a money maker, but if people didn't speed, they wouldn't have to pay a fine. Problem solved. There
  10. Now you know that's not the Pcom way!!! Silly gal!!!
  11. You're right. This intersection would not be so dangerous if people took a little time and realized that the extra 30 seconds it takes to wait for that car to pass then pull out, is the thing to do. You can see in both directions and I think impatience plays a huge roll in the accidents that happen here and everywhere else. If you're in such a hurry, leave a little earlier and save a life, maybe your own.
  12. Pcom helped me through a terrible time when my sister died suddenly. It's amazing how any simple interaction with people you don't even know can make a bad day a little better. There are so many people on here that I like, it's hard to list everyone and not leave anyone out. Also, I have seldom seen a request for help that has gone unanswered. Good people, middle of the road people and the people you want to knock out, all help make this site what it is. But for the record, I particularly like the OP!
  13. I've been hearing sirens since about 7am and when we were taking the kids to school, there is an AWFUL wreck at the Chevron at Ivey Gulledge and Old Cartersville. They are detouring traffic through the station, from both Old Cartersville and IG. Be careful ya'll. Thats the second one I've seen in two weeks.
  14. So, because everybody else was doing it and he's a great athlete, it makes cheating OK? Good Lord, what a crock. Cheating could make just about anybody a great athlete and doping just makes you a cheating athlete.
  15. Tell her to call your sister and that you don't want to hear it anymore because you have no control over it anyway. Talk to your brother, don't respond to her emails or don't answer her calls. At some point politeness needs to go out the window and she needs to leave you ALONE. Are they so desperate for money that they need the house sold? What difference should it make to her if it never sells?
  16. Hubby bought a French rifle once and the ad for it said, 'Only dropped once'. (Ya know....during the surrender).
  17. He was cheating and he was caught, bottom line. Was anyone else doing it too? Probably, but that doesn't eliminate the fact that Lance Armstrong cheated. It doesn't make anyone else any more or any less guilty of the same thing. HE was cheating, got caught and is paying the price, a price he put on his own head by doing something very wrong and he knew it. Was he made a scapegoat? Maybe. Was he made an example of? Sure. But he did it, the evidence is too great to ignore and he deserves whatever punishment he gets. He destroyed his own legacy, no sympathy here.
  18. And lots of it. Hubby and my youngest daughter have regular bouts with kidney stones and they have learned to deal with them at home most of the time. AZO Standard is an analgesic helps a lot and 'floating' it out with liquid and beer really does help.
  19. Agreed. An evil woman, huh!? I guess his pants magically fell down in a private place where this evil naked woman just happened to be. I just love that kind of religion. NOT!
  20. Prayers and good wishes sent. Even though death is a part of life, it sucks.
