  1. Just because a meal is expensive doesn't mean that it's good, the two don't go hand in hand. The absolute BEST food I've had in a long, long time is at Chicken and the Egg on Whitlock. We've been 4 times for lunch and haven't had one complaint about anything. Everything is delicious, well cooked, fresh, seasoned properly, etc. We've never had to even salt a single thing that has come to our table. With dessert, Hubby and I can eat lunch for less than $30.00, including tip. You can't hardly eat at Ruby Tuesdays or Oh Charlies for that and it is FAR better.
  2. I ten times this recommendation!!
  3. Agreed! How many times have any of us gotten a burger, taco, or any other fast food that actually looks like the ad? Never, I'm thinking. Also, a 2x4 isn't a 2x4 either, they're narrower and thinner these days. Are we going to sue the lumber industry for falsely claiming a size that isn't actually correct? I've got bigger fish to fry than to go around measuring sandwiches.
  4. What effing fools, both of them. She didn't even pay the rent that she was suing him for. Kno' wah' I'n sayin', strait up, han'le it. WTF does any of that even mean? I have no problem with grants or student loans, but talk about money wasted? That pathetic loser will NEVER be a productive member of society, he needs to quit school and continue his gigolo services that he seems to think he's so in demand for and good at. He was literally nauseating.
  5. Thanks for the info. Luckily, we have crazy dogs and even crazier people at my house and the kids are never outside without an adult. There are kids as young as 7 in our neighborhood that are allowed all over the entire neighborhood with no supervision at all and for some reason, they usually end up at my house to play. At least if they're here, they're safe for that little while. THINK PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I agree with you, I loved his character in that movie!
  7. Hubby and his brothers, like most boys I'm sure, used to go outside in the morning and not come home all day until dinner or later. They played in the rain swollen creek down the road from their house, rode their bikes to Cobb Center and Zayre. Their Mom didn't know where they were for hours and hours. She'd drop them off at a public pool in Smyrna and go back 5 hours later and pick them up. Needless to say, she and I have VERY different ideas about raising kids.
  8. I'm sorry, but those two football players aren't the only ones that need to be tried in that da&m town.
  9. I do that all the time. My fav.........'OMG, I'm an idiot'. Hubby just smiles at me!!
  10. We have always been lucky that none of our pets have ever run off, cats or dogs. I hope you find your pup ASAP.
  11. I've never seen you be rude, that's an odd comment for someone to make about you.
  12. And that is the difference here. When you call me a biotch or whatever, I know the context in which it's meant and I laugh at it. But when you have someone who is vehemently trying to make a point and either begins or ends their nasty post with , 'you ignorant fool' or 'you stupid idiot', that's unacceptable, especially when the rules state so clearly that you're not supposed to do it.
  13. I thought you had to be 21 to own a pistol in Ga. NOPE, I'm wrong, it's 18. (Remember these words, I don't say them often).
  14. Instead of 'that sucks', we say, 'that is so not cool', which means about the same thing.
  15. I agree. I don't mind the bullet, I mind the name calling.
  16. Agreed. Can you report it even if you're not the one being called names? It gets really old seeing the same person getting away with it over and over and over.
  17. OMG, you and I are totally on the same page! Or when they have to suit in it waiting for it to fill up. Or if they have dementia and try to open it when it's full of water? All questions I have asked myself.
  18. Maybe I'm wrong, but according to the rules of Pcom, you aren't supposed to call people names. 1. Discussions and comments should be civil and specific to the issue at hand (as opposed to directed towards an individual member). Please refrain from vulgarity, libel, name-calling, and gratuitous gossip. Members need to avoid name-calling that calls into question someone's character. However, I continually see people being called, stupid, damned fool, trucking idiot, ignorant, ignorant moron, and so forth. I've been called one of these names, I retaliated by calling the name caller a
  19. 5th graders teachers use red ink, luckily we don't see it very often, but that's what they use. Who cares, it's ink? And if you didn't get the answer wrong, it wouldn't be on your paper.
