I just heard the head of the CDC say to Congress, 'We're open to suggestions as to how to contain this virus'. Are you effing kidding me? Open to suggestions? Isn't it his responsibility to KNOW what to do or to have at his disposal people who do?? It's not ebola or any other virus that's gonna kill us, it's the ignorant, stupid people in charge that is. No, people don't think before they speak or half the world would never say a word. I keep hearing people comparing these two viruses and that is almost as absurd. I heard today that 1 single droplet of infected ebola blood was about equal to 60 liters of infected HIV blood. AND it doesn't die outside the body like HIV does. HIV dies almost immediately and ebola can last and last on skin and other surfaces. I hope your wifey doesn't have ebola or the flu and I hope she feels better soon.

This is a bad situation and it certainly needs to be dealt with better than it has been, by much smarter people. However, there are about 315 million people in America and to date 2, one two, have contracted ebola from a patient they both had contact with. And in the words of a healthcare worker from the very place he died has said that things were not handled as they should have been from the get go. I just saw Dr. Oz, who's not my favorite by the way, BUT, he was doing an interview with Matt Lauer and they had a Dallas hospital nurse telling horror stories about the handling of possible patients, waste and garbage by dr's, nurses and CDC personnel. I LOVE Uncle Arthur. I have a boxed DVD set of Bewitched and there is one show where he tells Darren that there is a little witch in everyone and teaches him a spell to use on Endora. We have a 4 gallon one of those for our pups and I can hardly fill the thing, 4 gallons of water is heavy. We have to fill it every 2 days. Big, goofy, thirsty dogs.

Now, having said that, I have always made sure myself that my kids/grandkids are occupied by the very things that you give out. I wish more parents would think ahead because I see this all the time.
