  7. Thats what happened to us in New Hope. One we loved had been on the market for 3 days, we looked at it, made a full price cash offer and it was already gone. It's been crazy, but it all worked out for the best and we're excited.
  8. Thank you! We haven't told anyone because we didn't want to jinx anything, this is all new territory for us. Bidding, countering, signing, etc. But, we have all the contracts signed and have closing on the 5th, so hopefully the jinx thing doesn't apply now. I called, he can't help he's too busy, which is a good thing for him. Still looking.......
  9. We are closing on our new house on Dec. 5 and I need a licensed electrician to pull a permit from Paulding County before they will send an inspector to check out the house and tell Greystone it's OK to turn on the power. I need them on Monday the 1st or Tuesday the 2nd of December. That way we can schedule the inspector and then Greystone can be there by Friday and we can get started on work as soon as we close. Thanks y'all!!!!
  10. There is another component here that is being missed, just because someone is the age of 12 doesn't meant that they look like a 12 year old like Beaver Cleaver or Dennis the Menace. At 12, middleschooler was 5'9", 160 lbs and looked 17. I have no idea what the deceased child looked like, but to continue to say 'he was 12, he was 12' doesn't take into account that he and many other 12 year olds don't look 12. But in the end, 12 year olds do in fact kill people. Was this officer supposed to wait and see what happened or do his job and remove the threat he perceived to be real? The lesson he
  11. The ONLY person to blame for Michael Browns death is Michael Brown himself. A family lost a son and for them, this is beyond horrible. But the fact remains that MB was a criminal and a thug and unfortunately a violent death is how many, many just like him end up. Is that fault of society or their own? And don't anybody start with, 'OOOHHHHHH, he was poor, from a bad background, blah, blah, blah, it's just what he knew'. BULLS$%T!!!!!!!! People know right from wrong regardless of their background and it's a lame a$$ excuse to believe otherwise.
  12. NO INDICTMENT!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Unfortunately some don't care about that. They only see what they want to and by their way of thinking, LEO shouldn't be allowed to shoot even if they are being threatened. And yet, these are the same people who have the audacity to call the police when they feel threatened. What a load. Is a BB gun a toy? It isn't at my house, but people seem to be using the terms interchangably in this case.
  14. Any recommendations on professiional carpet cleaning and air duct cleaning?
  15. I got my very first one this year and my arm H-U-R-T for a week.
  16. I'm with you 100% on this one. Yea, I just read that too, but that doean't change how I feel about this.
  17. The article I read and the news story I heard on the radio said that there were witnesses who said that the officer told the kid to raise his hands and get on the ground, he didn't and reached for his waistband where the 'gun' was and the officer fired. Oh well. The kid should have listened and done as he was told to do. His whining and the whining of anyone else in this case is falling on deaf ears as far as I'm concerned, it's horrible but what is an officer supposed to do, wait until he's being shot at and hope he isn't his before he responds? This is exactly why we are SOOOOO careful w
  18. You cannot know how HAPPY I am for you that you got to meet and have a picture with your two fave girls. Been there, done that and it's W-A-A-A-Y C-O-O-L. It's great that they appreciate their fans and take the time to express that. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!
  19. THAAAAT'S what I thought too! I write emails like that too, but unfortunately for both of us and many others who write also, they fall on deaf ears and more than likely the person receiving them think we're all just a bunch of idiots and they don't care at all. Sad but true. Gotta love the people in charge.
