  1. It isn't bad. I'm ne of the few that get looked at weird cause I "don't have" a cell. I got rid of the BIG cell phone bill (s) years ago. My husband has a straight talk phone ($30 mth for 1000 minutes/1000 texts), cause he goes out of town for work. i have a iPhone that I use with a pre paid card, through AT&T. I put around $100/year on it. Every month they deduct $5 from my balance and I get 200 text messages a month (they have other plans). Once a year, or so, I have $10 ded and that is for 1000 texts, the unused messages carry over month to month. If I need to use the phone, it
  2. At least you still have a job. I bet the person who moved the truck, with no oil in it, is out one Did you request them give you a rental vehicle?
  3. I don't think the UPS store is in New Hope anymore, is it?
  4. and they only had to do it for an hour why????? I don't know about ya'll, but, my first labor was approx 14 hrs, my second was 5 hrs. Three and Four were c-section (breech). I WISH it only lasted an hour. Oh, and WHERE do we sign our "others" up for this awesome experience?????
  5. If you are on facebook, sign up for the Bentwater and Paulding County Yardsale sites. I just saw one on there, yesterday...actually, maybe 2.
  6. The truth is ~ if it means we don't have to have sex anymore, we don't care After 15 years of marriage and 4 kids, the sleep is soooooooooo much more important~:rofl: ETA: My husband always said when I turn 40, he's turning me in for 2 - 20 year olds. I told him good luck w/ that!
  7. I thought it was too Well, you could complain, I just wouldn't advise complaining to your WIFE **ETA - I do NOT advocate cheating!**
  8. I say: well, where can I sign up for one
  9. No, I don't mind ~ we are getting the LS 12, the cost (including installation) is $6200. this is WAY bigger than we need, however, we got it big so we can all sleep down there (animals too) if its a night storm. They, so far, have been very nice and helpful
  10. We actually have decided to use a place out of Huntsville. They are called "huntsville tornado shelters". Wonder if it's the same place. edited to: correct the name
  11. Really? bull riding is a "sport" and EPHS???? I'll have to ask my son about that. He could use a good A$$ kickin
  12. I called these people today. They are super nice, but VERY expensive (about $2k more than what we were looking at). We are considering using them. They say they've done several in our area. Waiting to see if we can go see any of them. Are these above ground or below ground units there is someone in the area that installs these, however, he only installs them in garages. Unfortunately , that doesn't work for our situation Thanks, we want a below ground unit. I don't feel an above ground would be very safe. If it can pick up house/large tree like it's nothing, s
  13. Thanks for the info! I will look into the company in the video. There really is nobody "local" that does this. There is one local person, however, it has to be put in a garage. There are a few neat ones out there. If anyone is looking to open a local business, this would be a good ne, lol ~
  14. Has anyone had a storm shelter placed on thier property? If so, who did you use? We were using a company, however, they can't seem to get themselves together and return calls/texts regarding certain "issues/questions". So, we are now looking for someone else to do the job. Times are hard, so is money. I'm sure someone would like the funds. If it matters, we are considering the LS - 12 or something similar. Thanks
  15. unfortunately, comcast and att are the only ones out there, as far as bundling (unless you go with Magic Jack, Oomaa, etc). We did use magic jack for awhile. Worked good, unless the kid was playing xbox. When he was on it, it "sucked" all the interent power and the magic jack worked poorly. We were with ATT (phone/interent) and comcast (cable), but, we bundled everything together w/ comcast because it gave us faster internet for the same price. We don't have cell phones, so, have to have a home phone to use. If/when we all get cells we may consider other options. Until then, we are s
  16. Thanks! I had no clue either...and I though my kids kept me "up to date with the times"...pffftttt, they are introuble now!
  17. we too use Vectra 3d, however, it doesn't take care of ticks. With that being said, however, I haven't seen a tick on mine, yet (knock on wood)
  18. We have moved ALL of our accounts (checking, savings and CD) to Ally Bank. It's an "online" bank. We both have direct deposit into the account. There are NO fees, and the rates are the highest out there. We've been with them 5 years and LOVE it!!!!!
  19. No pill form works for Ticks. I have a BUNCH of frontline plus, that is no longer working on my animals = I used one out of the pack of 6 ~sigh~
  20. I have a 27" TV with VCR/DVD built in (the DVD player can probably use a cleaning as it sometimes "skips", I will give her. It comes w/ remote and original owners manual. It's been on the front porch for a few months, so, will be dusty . Oh, I also have a little bag of "decorations" from the kitchen, I was taking to good will...she's welcome to those too (it's country decor).
  21. We've had straight talk for several years, and never had any problem. Ours is a monthly debit. They usually email me a few days before to let us know they are fixin' to debit.
  22. I have 2 kids that need braces. Both are 8. I got 2 opinions. First opinion, while I really like the Dr, want to put spacers and braces on BOTH kids, and it would be a 2 - Phase treatment. Second opinion, Dr Justice, recommended no spacers on either child, and braces on just one child (Phase 1 Treatment). I chose to go with Dr. Justice (he was a little more expensive) because he could have EASILY "made money" and provided 2 phases of treatment on each child. Instead, I walked away with Phase One, no spacer, and saved ALOT of money. Dr. Justice has been AWESOME in his treatmen
  23. Dr Miller is great! However, if there are issues, I would recommend Marcus Autism Center, in Atlanta.
  24. Dr. Grant is no longer there, actually, I heard he's gone away (as in closed). The new dentist is "County Dental Providers" 770-443-8411
