well, if the people you speak of are vaccinnated, then they shouldn't have to worry, right? Isn't that what the vac. is for?
-
Do you think they were on drugs when this was made?

They were open last week, thrusday, maybe? -
this is a topic that can be debated all day long, and the bottom line is there is no right answer, no wrong answer. It all comes down to a persons personal belief. Some want it, some don't...we will just all have to agree to disagree

Whoo Hooo! Good luck with the ...hoping there's not to much going on

Whomever choses to vaccinate. It is their choice. My parents plan on vaccinating, that's thier choice...I still plan to NOT vaccinate, at this time. All the name calling, and ousting in the world, will not change my mind. We don't even KNOW what the situation will be. Everything is "speculation". What if this vax works like the chicken pox vac...you can still get it, it just isn't "as bad". Well, if you can still "get it", you can still pass it around! My kids normally are vaccinated...I did what the Dr.s said. Between child #1 and child #4, the "ways" have changed, at

My opinion is still "no" we will not be getting the vaccination until I know more about it, and trials have been done. I am not going to jump into something that is not even known about right now!
-
however, it could mutate amoung the various animals as well, correct? It doesn't necessarily have to mutate only within the unvaccinated?
-
Wow~ 1) IF I choose to not vaccinate my family, based on current information, why do I need to quarantine us, if you have been vaccinated? If you've been vaccinated, then you shouldn't have to worry about "catching" it from us, right? 2) I am not discouraging anyone to get the vaccine, so, my freinds and neighbors don't have to ignore me. This is a PERSONAL decision, and those of us who have decided to NOT vaccinate, at this time, based on our PERSONAL feelings, should NOT be bashed! It's OUR decision and doesn't effect you, especially, if you ARE vaccinated! There is

We aren't talking apples to apples. This particular vaccine has not been out long enough for the tests to even become available. What happens if 6 months down the road they discover some serious side effects? I will make my decision when enough information becomes available. They don't even know how bad it is going to get...everything is a "guess". In hind site, from what I now know about the chicken pox vax...I would have denied that one too. They need "boosters", however, what happens when you stop boostering, and the "child" is 40 YO and comes down with pox? I would have much rat

Happy Birthday Poppy~ We MISS you and LOVE you~

interesting~ thanks for sharing! I hadn't heard that they were talking about making it mandatory. I will not be allowing myself or my children to get this vaccination (nor the flu vac). It is just too new, to "risk" my children's health with potential side effects.

Webb's Custom Upholery? He does pick up and delivery for free, I think~

Oh, and, make sure you have the certificate, as proof of rabies, not the tag~

They will call you back, once they get the message. Calm down and just keep the dog indoors. What happens, I suppose, depends on how PO'd the neighbor is (and if she's sue happy). If the dog is quarantined (A/C or Vet), you will have to pay (not sure of cost). If the dog has never bit before, then, I would think that maybe when she "hugged" him/her, she may have hit a tender spot that caused it. My dog (POUND ON WOOD) has been harrassed by 3 kids (from newborn up) and has never showed aggression (will growl to warn). I'm sorry ~ kids will be kids ~ I have taught my kids

I THINK the dog must be quarantined UTD on rabies or not. Sometimes, I believe, you can keep it quarantined at your vets vs the shelter, maybe even at home. How bad of a bite are we talking (stitches), a bite or a "nip"? Were you there to witness? Was it in your yard?
-
You will probably have to quarintine the dog. You can call A/C and leave a message, however, generally, a hospital has to report an animal bite... How did it happen? Was the kid playing (roughly) with the dog? As a owner of a Min Pin, I know MOST don't just "walk up and bite".

One of my son's football teammates, from a few years ago (Kennesaw), is being treated for Leukemia at the Aflac Center. He has had a rough go of it, but they face it "head on". They call it "Hotel DeCHOA", lol. Definitly a worthy cause, we are VERY lucky to have them in our own "back yard".
