Jetsmom
I saw the helicopter fly over after I got home from work a little while ago. Just heard a bunch more sirens going by just a few minutes ago on Bakers Bridge. Can't be the same accident, can it? Came on here to see if anyone knew what was going on. Foxden
LIFE FLIGHT WILL NOT TRANSPORT ANYONE WHO *IS NOT* IN STABLE CONDITION! MOST ESPECIALLY ANYONE WHO IS DOA!! HOPE ALL WILL BE OK!! I have been a member of Paulding.com for a little over a year but only log on every now and then. I decided to log on tonight, for whatever reason and much to my suprise found this thread. This tread involved my son. He was the driver of the " smaller red truck" as one of the other posters had commented ( although the truck probably looked small at that time it was actually a Chevy Silverado Ext Cab Z71). I must admit that my heart sank as I read the comments knowing that they were about my son and realizing the thoughts of other's " wondering" what was going on or what had happened. I considered whether or not to post our testimony about this accident. 1st I would like to say that if the driver's of the other vehicle happens to see this post, I want you to know that we have been praying for you and that we are very sorry about what happened. 2nd that we are glad you both are okay, and 3rd that this truly was an accident and his 1st accident ever. With that said I would like to post our testimony of the power of prayer. As many of you are aware Christopher was involved in a head on collision on Friday afternoon and life flighted to Grady Trama Unit. I want to 1st say to EVERYONE WHO PRAYED FOR MY SON AND MY FAMILY ..... THANK YOU !!!!!! Thank You doesn't even seem nearly enough to show our appreciaton but from the bottom of my heart I thank each and every one of you and as I share my testimony about the power of your prayers, and the effect they had on the outcome of my son's injuries I hope you'll understand. If ANYONE who reads this bulletin has EVER doubted the power of prayer and if God really does hear and answer then I pray by reading this YOU WILL NEVER DOUBT AGAIN. The passengers in the other vehicle were not injured but from the information that I have, they did go to the ER and were released, just shaken up the officer said. We praise God there were no injuries to either of them. I rec'd the call on my way home from work and the exact words of the paremedic were, We are life flighting your son because we believe he has some serious injuries, we performed a " halo test" on blood that is coming from his ear and it has detected spinal cord fluid, which indicates either a spinal cord injury or a brain injury.... ". I know I do not have to tell you the emotional state I was in upon hearing this. I called ALL MY PRAYER WARRIORS and had them to begin praying. I never made it to the accident scene, because as I got the to the top of the ridge rest on Mulberry Rock Rd, I seen the helicopter and pulled in. Christopher was not there yet the ambulance was on the way with him. When Christopher arrived and they brought him out on the stretcher with the neck brace on, he has no idea where he was, or what day it was. He had not said a word in the amubulance as they tried to talk to him and get information ( which to them certainly was not a good sign) when they lowered him from the ambulance and he seen his Dad and I he began to cry and shake profusely. I immediately fell on the ground and laid hands on him and began to pray in the spirit. We encouraged him to hang on and that he had never given up on anything in his life and that " he came from good stock" and he was gonna be fine. They put him in the helicopter and left with him. I couldn't help seeing that blood coming from his ear, but looking at him " he looked fine on the outside" As we drove to the hospital and Frankie and I and the girls were touching and agreeing in prayer for Christopher, God brought the story of the woman with the issue of blood in the bible to my mind. I began to think about how she had this " issue of blood" which no on really knows what that was they only know it had ailed her for 12 yrs. The bible says she believed by faith that if she could only TOUCH THE HEM OF JESUS GARMENT, she would be healed. When Jesus came by through the crowds the woman reached up and touched the hem of his garment and she was IMMEDIATELY HEALED. Jesus told the woman your FAITH has made you whole. As I thought about that I began to cry out to God and tell him that I know his word is truth and that he can't lie and that he is no respector of persons and that what he did for this lady I knew he could do for my son and so right now BY FAITH, I REACH UP AND TOUCH THE HEM OF YOUR GARMENT BELEIVING FOR COMPLETE HEALING FOR MY SON. Upon arriving at the hospital Sarah ( his girlfriend and her Mom were already there) then many many of his friends came.... the waiting room was full of people who loved and respected my son. When they let me in to see Chrstioper for the 1st time, the first thing he said as he lay on that bed in the trauma unit with one tear streaming from his eye was " Mama did I hurt anyone". I told him no, you were the only one hurt. They had already done x rays of his pelvis, chest, shoulder, knees etc... ALL WAS FINE. NO FRACTURES, NO BROKEN BONES...... Just some bruieses. They had not yet done the cat scan on his head and brain and ran the dye which would detect where this spinal fluid ( that the paremidic on scene had detected with the halo test was coming from) that was my biggest worry, what were the internal injuries to him. He had been knocked unconcious in the wreck so he didn't remember what happened and never even remembered seeing me and his Dad and the girls at the helicopter when I had prayed over him. They came and got him to take him to do the cat scan and run the dye, and it seemed to take forever.... when they got the results the Dr said, there was NOTHING...... NO LEAKAGE, NO BRAIN INJURIES, NO SPINAL CORD INJURIES, NO BROKEN BONES, NOT EVEN A FRACTURE. Another one of the nurses had said that when the accident was called in as a head on collision mva, that when he came in they couldn't figure out why he didn't have anymore injuries than he did. Which were a few bruises, a cut on his head and scratch on his leg. They couldn't figure out " why he was not more injured". My son walked out of the Trauman unit that night with only a few bruises on his shoulder and leg with a scratch on his leg and a small cut on the top of his head that didn't even need stitches ! THAT'S THE POWER OF PRAYER BEING ANSWERED BY AN ALMIGHTY GOD. When the Ga State Patrol came by our house on Saturday, he had not even finished the accident report because in his exact words to us " I really thought that I was gonna have to call in the reconstruct team to reconstruct the scene of this accident because by the looks of you ( talking to Christohper) you were going to be a fatality. He said even the paremedic came back to the scene after dropping you off at the helicopter and I ask her we'll what do you think, is he gonna make it? She said I don't know on this one...... EVERYONE HAD THE DRIVER OF THE RED TRUCK ( WHICH WAS CHRIS) AS A GONER. so to say this officer was shocked to see Christopher walking, talking to him in an understatement. I want EVERYONE who read this to understand this........ FROM POINT A, which was the phone call I rec'd from the paramedic saying he was being life flighted and why ( the spinal fluid in the blood coming from his ear, which meant either a spinal cord injury or brain injury) to POINT B which was when they told us the results of that Cat Scan/dye they ran and there was NOTHING....... THE ONLY THING IN BETWEEN POINT A AND POINT B....... WAS PRAYER !!!!!!!!!!!! NOTHING ELSE..... THE PRAYERS OF EVERYONE WHO HAD BEEN PRAYING FOR CHRISTOPHER AND INTERCEEDING ON HIS BEHALF, I KNOW MOVED THE HAND OF GOD........ MY SON WAS COMPLETELY HEALED FROM POINT A TO POINT B AND I KNOW IT WAS BECAUSE WE TOUCHED THE HEM OF JESUS GARMENT. PLEASE SHARE OUR TESTIMONY WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW AND THE POWER OF PRAYER WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW........ SO THAT GOD RECIEVES ALL THE GLORY AND PRAISE FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE. The power of prayer is indeed incredible - I will continue to say prayers for your family and son during his recovery. Thank you, he is fine physically.... As our testimony states he was released that night with no injuries other than a few bruises and a cut on his head which have all healed now..... My concern is that he is still not driving. He has no desire to drive anymore. This to me certainly is not healthy for him. I know that in time, God's timing and when my son feels comfortable he will resume driving but I just don't want the " fear" to paralize him.

PauldingPeach
I have been in both positions, that of the car accident victim with injuries that cause me to not remember what happened, and that of a mother watching her child get loaded on "Life Flight" and not knowing if she would be alive by the time I made it to the hospital. Foxden
Thanks for sharing your story. Thank you for giving God all the glory too...that was a great testimony. I will continue to pray for your family. God has already blessed you and through your faith he will continue to bless. Thanks again!! That truly is my sole purpose since the accident is praising God and sharing with everyone/anyone who will listen about the power of prayer. So many times we are a part of a miracle or witness a miracle in our lives or the life of someone else and we fail to share what we were gifted to be a part of or to see. We dismiss it as " luck" or " being in the " right place at the right time", and I firmly believe we need to be sharing the testimony with others. I know that God touched my son from the time of that phone call from the parimedic to the time he walked out of that hospital that night with no injuries other than scratches and bruises. My son was the recepiant of a miracle touch from God himself. Not because my son deserved it ( although he is a great kid, big smile) not because of anything I could do or say or pray, but because of God's mercy and love for us. I just believe that needs to be shared with other's so that God recieves the glory for it all.

Catch22
THAT WAS VERY TOUCHING, IT TAKES A LOT FOR ME TO CRY AT THINGS I READ ON PCOM BUT, THIS BROUGHT ME TO TEARS!! Bradybunchmom
That was absolutley moving. Wiping tears from my eyes. I have a magnet that states- Faith is not knowing that God can; it is believing that He will. You believed that God would and He did. God is just so awesome and prayer is our strongest weapon, what a wonderful testimony for your family and what an awesome calling your son must have. You should maybe write the scripture -- For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power of love and of a sound mind."

THEY MIGHT NOT BE EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT ALL THE TIME BUT, GOD KNOWS BEST!! I am in tears reading your response to me..... It is my hearts desire that God recieve all the glory for what he has done in our lives. Yes, the Ga State Patrol was very moved by the fact that the paremdic said upon her return from dropping him off at the helicopter that the only thing he had said in the ambulance when they were trying to get him to talk to them, was " is everyone alright". The Ga State Patrol said that he was so moved by that, because without even knowing my son, he knew that he must be a special young man. And he is. ( My son that is) He has always been more concerned with " everyone" else above himself. His testimony has touched many people, whom we know, don't know, and his friends. That brings my heart such joy to know that because so many times God does not recieve the glory for all the miracles he gives us daily, so many times we dismiss things as " being in the right place at the right time, or as luck, when all along it is the hand of God upon our lives, our children, our situations etc.... Thank you for replying and may God bless and keep you in his care. Please share his story with those around you.

I too, along with another poster's response to me am wiping tears from my eyes reading your response to me. As I read through all the post from last night after posting his testimony, I am so moved by how it's touching other's lives and hearts. It's my hearts desire that God recieve all the glory for what HE has done. It's funny because the magnet you are speaking of I also have the same one..... The Bible says that Jesus couldn't do many miracles in " his own hometown" because of their UNBELIEF. That's a power scripture, because it teaches us just how powerful our belief or unbelief can be in our lives and the impact it can have on situations. I too believe that God has a powerful calling on my son's life, and in time I know God will reveal just what that is. Growing in Christ and our relationship with him is a process and this has taken my son to a new level (spiritually) speaking. Please continue to share our testimony with all those people in your life as God provides the opportunity. That's the greatest gift ever is knowing that God recieves the glory for it all, that it may lead someone else to believe in the power of prayer, the awesomeness of God and his mercy and grace for us all. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt when that phone call was made to me by the perimedic that my son in all probability ( in the natural) was going to die. Everyone that was a witness to this has stated the same thing.... I know in my heart what I know, but because of God's love and mercy he changed the outcome. Thanks for sharing your personal story with us. It truly was touching. 2Hot50
I am glad that everyone is ok in this accident, and hope that this is the last one the boy ever gets into, but I dont see where there is any GRACE, MERCY, and anything else spiritual. I see that he was lucky he was a a road where higher speeds are harder to obtaine. I see that he was operating a safer built larger vehicle, I see the skill of the Doctor (s) and EMTs and sheriffs Deputies on the scene. If there was true GRACE there wouldnt have been a collision. If there was true mercy, the innocent people he hit would not have been on that road. All I see here is dumb luck, skill of the professionals, and a safe well built vehicle. I am glad your son is ok, but make no mistake there is no divine intervention

Momstradamus
Really? Even if you don't believe there is any type of divine intervention it is really disrespectful to contradict someone in a very heartfelt post. I think it is fine if you believe there was none, that is your choice! However, you discounting someone's belief there is is rude, disrespectful, and uncalled for. I am glad that everyone is ok in this accident, and hope that this is the last one the boy ever gets into, but I dont see where there is any GRACE, MERCY, and anything else spiritual. I think it is fine if you believe there was none, that is your choice! However, you discounting someone's belief there is is rude, disrespectful, and uncalled for. Ditto! I'll be praying for you 2hot!

Momstradamus
You are most welcome. I too have a testimony. My husband suffered a massive stroke over a year ago and the Neurosurgeons said he would not make it 72 hours. His skull was literally filled with blood. He was in the hospital for 3 and a half weeks with all of the doctors saying that he might recover but he would never be able to be off the ventilator, walk, talk, communicate and be himself again. Then one day, he began to awake… communicate, move, breathe on his on and become his self again. 113 days in the hospital and four months of rehab. The educated professionals that 2Hot50 referred to had no hope that he would recover at all. My husband had prayer warriors all over the world. Many of them were local church members but our extended family is worldwide. The Chief of Neurology at Grady, Dr. Frankell said that a miracle is all that we could pray for and that we should pray as much and as often as we could. The nurses that were there were so supportive and one very special nurse when I was discouraged about going home and leaving him there overnight said, "I'll pray for him while you sleep, rest well". The bottom line is we all have the right to have different belief systems. Yours and mine include faith, grace and mercy. Today, my husband is sitting right here beside me recovered at 95%. He has short-term memory loss and a little physical deficit on his left side. God gives us the talent we must choose to use it. Thank you .
Foxden
I am glad your son is ok, but make no mistake there is no divine intervention I am glad that everyone is ok in this accident, and hope that this is the last one the boy ever gets into, Thank you and I hope he never gets into another too I see the skill of the Doctor (s) and EMTs and sheriffs Deputies on the scene. If you had read my post carefully you would have seen that the only thing the Emt's performed on him was a " test" to detect the spinal cord fluid in the blood in his ear. There was NO OTHER TREATMENT TO MY SON BY ANYONE OTHER THAN THE CAT/SCAN AND X RAY'S AT THE HOSPITAL...... That's my point there was NO TREATMENT necessary for him..... There was NO spinal cord fluid leaking ANYWHERE when they got him to the hospital. So you see HE WAS HEALED BY GOD BETWEEN THE PHONE CALL to me from the EMT ( when she did the test on scene) and then when my son got to the hospital there was NOTHING.... no type of leakage, no spinal cord fluid found NOTHING.... If there was true GRACE there wouldnt have been a collision. I want you to understand, we live in a sin filled world where people make bad choices because we have been given a free will, when God made creation he did not create the world to be like this but then SIN entered into it. We also have an enemy ( Satan) who the bible says roams around like a lion " seeking whom he can devour"..... God allows things to happen in our lives sometimes to draw us closer to him, to reveal his power, grace and mercy to us in our lives, to allow testimony's like our's and many others to reach and touch the unsaved those who are lost and dying without hope. Sometimes these things happen so that other's lives will be touched, and truthfully sometimes we don't understand " why" things are allowed to happen. I only know that my son according to those on scene EMT's and Sherrif believed that my son was good as dead, but then by a MIRACLE of God, he walked out of that trama unit that night WITH NO TREATMENT AT ALL by anyone other than scans/x rays..... Expalin that? It wasn't luck, I can assure you. Throughout your whole post you have used the word " I see or I don't see " I am glad that everyone is ok in this accident, and hope that this is the last one the boy ever gets into, but I dont see where there is any GRACE, MERCY, and anything else spiritual. I see that he was lucky he was a a road where higher speeds are harder to obtaine. I see that he was operating a safer built larger vehicle, I see the skill of the Doctor (s) and EMTs and sheriffs Deputies on the scene. All I see here is dumb luck, skill of the professionals, and a safe well built vehicle. I want you to know that we have a natural ability to " see" things and then we have a " supernatural ability to see things". I feel you only " see" with your natural eyes, and not with your spiritual eyes. Thoughts and feeling expressed like your's just prove why God sent his only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us..... The soldiers and religious people who crucified Jesus only saw him with their " natural eyes". If they had seen with their spiritual eyes they would have seen they were crucifing the Son Of God. I know you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but I want you to know that there is more going on in this life that what you " see" with your physical, natural eyes. but make no mistake there is no divine intervention With tear filled eyes I say to you my friend there is no " luck in life" it is all God's hand upon our lives and his grace and mercy that gets dismissed as " dumb luck" or well built vehicles. The enemy has you greatly decieved.
