I feel ill.

Judge much?

Good for you living what you believe. I mean that. But...would you be OK if I asked you to never eat another muffin because muffins have to endure oven baking? OH MY GOSH!! THAT'S BATTER ABUSE!! I know I am wasting my words. No one is going to argue that raising and killing animals for food can be inhumane. NO ONE. But we eat meat, and we were "born this way." How many oranges get reamed for a glass of juice? Veggies are living things, too. You want everyone to adopt your agenda, and you're not very nice to anyone who doesn't, no matter what the agenda.
-
Exaaaactly.
-
In all respect, what are YOU doing?
-
And I have no problem with your anti-meat agenda. None. ZIP. Nada. God's creation includes animals that he intended for us to eat. You never answered my earlier question...did God make a mistake when he made us omnivorous? We can approximate our ideal diet when we eat lots of proteins in whatever form we get them in. Tofu is bean curd, beans are legumes, and legumes can approximate the meat we need in our diet for protein. But the perfect protein made for our bodies comes from the meat we eat. Would you ask a tiger to snack exclusively on grass? A polar bear? What woul

We should meet for a big old beef burger, yeah?

So does global warming, earthquakes, oh, and Spring storms in GA like we had today. Maybe we all should boycott Spring. Damn tornadic weather. Where is the number of my legislator? This scary weather is just unacceptable. And gas prices...who do I call? Nope. So that was the email behind the threat?

Breast Milk Ice Cream Smashing Success in London

There is nothing inherently "nasty" about breast milk. It serves a noble purpose. I'm all for it. I just don't really want it in my ice cream. -

I think spanking has its place when the infraction is grievous. A small child disobeying when you called him or her to your side and ran out into the street? SPANKING OFFENSE!! But if corporal punishment is the norm, all you teach is that you'll get smacked if you do wrong. And what does that teach the child? To smack others if they do something "wrong." I believe in smacks for disobedience. REALLY BAD disobedience--like, I need to get your attention because your behavior might HURT YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE. My kids are pretty much all grown now. My youngest is 22. I practiced spank

And? Honey, then don't eat the meat! If you want to reform the meat packing industry, then go to your legislators. I agree--it could be done better. Absolutely. But if I and/or my children were hungry, I'd hunt down an animal and kill it for food. And I wouldn't be ashamed. I am an animal who eats meat. Several years ago, I watched a program on ABC about "Saving the Lobsters." And you know what? If our size were reversed, a lobster would have no problem EATING ME! I tend to keep to seafood--but that's a personal choice. I also LOVE a good steak. And I make no ap

Am I the only one who finds it bend over hysterical that this response was from "Arnold the Pig"?

I hear you burn up the PM boxes. I think the mods wouldn't take it kindly if you posted any of them. I think it's somewhere in those rules you like to quote when they seem to support whatever you're saying at the moment. You have the link to the rules, right?

And that's your answer? You know, I appreciate that you have taken on this cause. Really, I do. I appreciate that you care about the animal harvesting industry in this country. There is NO CHANCE that I will EVER look to veggies and legumes to supply the dietary needs of the body God gave me to take care of. We are not herbivores. We are not naturally vegetarians. We are omnivores. We eat meat, and we eat veggies, and we were made that way. If there weren't facilities that supplied us with what we need to survive, we'd find a way to get it, and I feel pretty strongly

I know, I know...the coverage now is a good thing. I'm glad they do it. My husband is near Charlotte. So though they've already had a bunch, they still have more to come. He called me during all this mess to tell me a tornado was on the ground about 1/4 mile from his place there. He is fine. I'm all for people being safe. But seriously, they do milk it for all it's worth.

Pumpkin carving was too much for pcom?

I'm a weather junkie too, but they really do play it to death. I mean really? The weather is pretty much passed now, but you wait--they will broadcast over all programming at 7:00. Just watch. I'll be shocked if they don't. I was ready to call the station in protest over the constant coverage for TWO WHOLE DAYS during our "blizzard." Seriously, they take it too far. They WILL find some woman in a pink robe and curlers to match or some dude with no teeth to say, "IT SOUNDED LIKE A TRAIN!!!" for the cameras. They won't stop until they do. They teach that in broadcast school for the South

Duh. Do you think God made a mistake when he made us omnivorous?

Grace to Be Said at the Supermarket This God of ours, the Great Geometer, Does something for us here, where He hath put (if you want to put it that way) things in shape, Compressing the little lambs into orderly cubes, Making the roast a decent cylinder, Fairing the tin ellipsoid of a ham, Getting the luncheon meat anonymous In squares and oblongs with all the edges bevelled Or rounded (streamlined, maybe, for greater speed). Praise Him, He hath conferred aesthetic distance Upon our appetites, and on the bloody Mess of our birth

The bad nasties are hitting my house JUST NOW. I don't like it much.

I care about all of those...AND...I eat meat.

lowrider--what station are you seeing the storm chasers on?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but they just said on Channel 2 that more storms are forming in Northwest Alabama and heading East...
