And where do the funds that support the Universal Service Fund come from? They are federally mandated funds which, according to you very own link, "The companies often charge customers to fund their contributions in the form of a universal service fee you might see on your monthly phone bill." Yeah. Not a tax. Nooooooooooooo. It's a "federally mandated fee." HUGE difference.

He was! I love a baritone voice like his.

I won't "talk about you"! You are entitled to your opinion. And lest anyone thinks I just "don't like Obama," I thought his last speech (at the memorial) was masterful. I thought this one was weak. My opinion.
-
As opposed to...? I would think that would qualify as "best"? >>shudder<< I am very sorry I asked.

What does it mean when a state is "worst" at aboortzion?
-
Did we watch the same speech?

No kidding! I read this article earlier today, and I'm a bit torn. While I think that FF places should be forthright about what they're serving, and while I agree that it's in their best interest (and OURS) to offer healthy choices, this "lawsuit" is ridiculously frivolous. SERIOUSLY frivolous.

Good thoughts coming your way, and his! I hope he feels better soon!

Soak your beans. Rinse them and add them to a pot. Cover with water, two to three inches over the beans in the pot. Chop up a medium yellow or white onion and toss it into the pot. Crush about 4 cloves of garlic and toss them in. Add a bay leaf or two. And finally, add a whole smoked ham hock. Cook for several hours, until beans are tender. Remove the bay leaf(s), and salt to taste. If you want a thicker broth, take about 1 1/2 cups of the tender beans out, mash them, and add them back to the pot. This will thicken your broth. Make a big old pan of cornbread, and enjoy. You can ad

Silver Comet Killer Wants Sentence Thrown Out
TabbyCat replied to onekidmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
But...I agree with an earlier poster...in cases of such clear guilt, execution should be expedited. Ledford has no defense. He brutally raped and murdered a woman on the SCT. There is no doubt in this case. He forfeited his liberty at the moment when he chose to rip Jeniffer Ewing off of her bike and to brutally rape and murder her. And that he actually did that? NOT IN QUESTION. Forensic evidence PROVES that he was responsible for the crime. So in all of your infinite LIBERAL wisdom, where is his defense, and where does your cry for "liberty" fit? -
Oh look! The sky is BLUE!!

Silver Comet Killer Wants Sentence Thrown Out

And see...I am not against appeals when there is any shadow of doubt. Not at all. Just a month ago, I had my very first ever to have the opportunity to serve on "a jury of my peers." I was SO HYPED to serve! I wanted this opportunity! My fellow jurors? For the most part, they were PISSED to be there. They were angry they were missing work, and I would not have wanted many of them to be on a jury deciding my fate. Still, there WERE people there like ME, who welcomed a chance to be empaneled and listen to the facts. I would hope that the rigorous screening process would h -
Silver Comet Killer Wants Sentence Thrown Out

Ledford IS guilty. In this case? There is NO "reasonable doubt." This murder...did you catch that word...MURDER...is beyond DOUBT. There is clear and conclusive EVIDENCE that this sick person INTENTIONALLY attacked, raped, and MURDERED an innocent person out riding the trail for her own personal fitness. HE IS FREAKING GUILTY. His appeals and maneuvers to escape justice are a huge slap in the face of TRUE justice. I weep no tears when the STATE puts him to death. My ONLY tears are that his death is humane, which is so far from the death sentence he inflicted on his victim, a Mom much l -
I think that's why my husband and I were fortunate--we were both very actively and well-employed before the bad stuff hit, and we were able to forge ahead. I can easily see how it would be very hard for someone just entering or re-entering this market.

NO... "You can get with dis, or you can git with dat..." Do, dah, dippity!

I lost my job early on in this downturn. I worked for a company whose primary business was real estate licensing. When the market tanks, there isn't much demand in real estate education. I was "unemployed" for two weeks. I went to work as a contractor with the largest telecom company in the country. I lost about $7 an hour in my new contract, which is for three years. I am just over one year into the contract. My husband works in the commercial real estate industry. He has been employed throughout all of the mess. Last year, he took a willing cut in salary to help the company get throu

I would agree. It is. But still, I always wonder about target audience when I see it. But it has the catchy and cute thing going on--no doubt! Still, it doesn't make me want to go out and buy a Kia Soul.

I didn't watch, as I was still at work when it aired, and I didn't really want to set it to record on the DVR. But I did watch some of the "post reveal" PR in the news tonight after I got home. I don't blame her for wanting to own this. She's done so many "reunion" stories. This is her last season on network TV, and this was her OWN reunion story. She'd have been media stupid not to feature it on her show. But to say that it would change America? Uhm, no. I am happy for her. I am even more happy for her sister, who seems like a responsible and grounded woman. How weird would it

CUTE it IS! But still...my question...audience?

I don't get these commercials. AT. ALL. Who are they aimed at? Though I must admit...I stop to watch them. But...R&B/rapping hamsters? Really? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miC1VZ9UVCQ&feature=related
