  1. If you have never been to the Space Center for a Shuttle launch you need to pack the kids in the minivan and get it done.

    OMG!

You will have what you think is a court date to appear on the ticket. You will go downtown, pay for parking, miss a day of work, sit in a room with a hundred people waiting for your turn. Then the PA will call your name and you will find out that all you are there for is to plead. You will be asked out in the hallway if you planned to plead not guilty. Thus finding that to actually get a court hearing scheduled you will need to do everything all over again, miss a day of work, pay for parking, sit and wait your turn with a hundred other people. It is all contrived to get you to plead (nol
  3. Just under 3/4 here in New Hope, the grass is already green on top.
  4. What happened to "field stripping" your butt's. My father (wwII) and cousins (Nam) always did this when I was a kid. Dad always said to never leave evidence that you were there. I cannot recall seeing anyone do this in the last 20 years. Hat's off to the smokers who do.
  5. Freedom of choice is fine with me. In these difficult times, I'm all for anyone who wants to express themselves anyway they want. That way the competition for a good job, is less. If all of the different people looked like everyone else then my and my families options in this world just got a lot more competitive than it is. When two applicants walk in for the interview. Which one is likely to get the call back? The crotch dragging boxer showing person or the one who dressed with respect for the job. Parents, guardians, aunt's uncles, friends, please encourage this behavior, my kids nee
  6. God bless these young men and their families. Now, write your representative and tell them to either give the armed forces the tools and permission to use whatever force necessary to actually win the war or bring these hero's home. I'm sick of worrying about world opinion, we've got the technology to put an end to this, either use it or let them destroy each other without my countrymen and women being sacrificed over a police action that hasn't been settled since the time of Christ.
  7. I closed mine the 1st winter, after that just left it open. I use a freeze guard to start the pump when it gets to freezing.
  8. I think you will hear good and bad about both. We had a gunnite pool in FL, after a few years it needed resurfacing. It was about 10 years old when the problems started. It also required busting out the gunnite and concrete in a couple of areas to find and repair leaks. That left it with slightly different colors in the repaired areas. We constantly battled black (some growth of crud) on the gunnite that was difficult to remove. The good, you can get extremely creative with shape and design. When we put the pool in here I went with the liner. Picked a plain shape, rectangle, so it co

  10. I would love to support the cruise, may stop by. I tried the retnyshieldsofga.com and the site does not load. Did I spell it correctly?
  11. Every time this type of topic comes up it reminds me to look behind the door. The legislature should spend its time doing other things. They are afraid to tackle health care, highways, jobs, education, illegal immigration, keeping my food safe, but will put their name on something like a seatbelt law just because they know the masses will notice. If people want to make use of natural selection, or become organ donors, why should I be in favor of laws that prevent it?
  12. I was emailed this, It is so sad to loose such a nice young man. Lt. Colonel Bernie Booth (Hiram HS JROTC) shared this sad news with us this morning. We have tragically lost another student this week in an automobile accident. Bradley Simpson who graduated from Hiram High School in May 2006, was killed in an automobile accident on Wednesday morning in Milledgeville, GA. Brad was actively involved as a cadet in JROTC for his 4 years in high school and was a member in the student government. Brad was a member of the United States Army Reserves and was currently attending
