Oh and bear with Mcfarlenes as they attempt to catch up with everything. It was a bit of a rough night for them this evening but overall, did very well all things considered.
-
McFarlenes opened today at 4pm and several of us (GOP) members were there and had a great dinner and a blast!

Okay, so that you quit getting upset. This event has been planned for some time including a logo and everything else. I just spoke to Micah Gravley and he told me to tell all of you: ALL of those who worked this disaster here in Paulding are more than welcome to come to the event and join us. You will not be ignored and will be acknowledged. However, the event and its intent remains the same to send our appreciation to our men and women in public safety. That is the statement from: Micah Gravley 1st Vice Chairman, Paulding County Republican Party Co-Chairm

Well it certainly can be brought up and see what happens but then I am not sure of the impact of the origional intent of the event to begin with which is why it is called The Paulding County Public Safety Appreciation and Family Festival . DOT, the water company, and the like do not risk their lives everyday like our public safety crew does because then the event would become The Paulding County Workers Appreciation Day. I see where you are coming from but don't want to argue with you on those points. But then again, it isn't my decision of any changes that may occur. These are

I understand but I am not in charge to make that decision. But as I stated earlier, this has been in the works since early August for our men and women of public safety only who put their lives on the line day in and day out and not just during time of disasters. If another group with to start such a thing to recongize others, that would be a great idea. However, the others who worked during this trying time won't be forgotten.

FYI.... The Paulding County Public Safety Appreciation and Family Festival event has been in the works for some time and didn't just come up because of the recent flooding. This event is for our men and women in public safety and does not include any other area of public services. I will post more details later when I get the chance but anyone wanting to rent a booth, there is a sponsorship charge to do so. I will say this event on Oct. 10th will be huge and it is the 1st of its kind for the county and hosted by the Paulding County GOP.

Official rainfall total was 20 inches for Pauling and Cobb counties. These two counties got the worst of it followed by Gwinnet at 15 inches. -
Child abuse was never spoken about back then. My sisters were abused by my father and my mother was abused in every which way there is by her father. None of this was ever spoken about for years.

I'd say...if you're smart enough to cross those barricades and you get stuck, then you should be smart enough to figure out on your own how to get out of it.

PCSO reminds everyone to stay OFF of the roads throughout the night. Multiple roads CLOSED The Paulding County Sheriff's Office reminds everyone to stay OFF of the roads if at all possible. There are over 80 roads closed throughout the county, primarily on the south and southeast part of the county. Multiple vehicles have driven around barricades causing them to become trapped by rising waters. Do NOT drive around barricades or thru standing water.
