My Mom passed away Oct. 14, 2008. It has been almost a year. She had Alzheimer's . I now rejoice that she is at peace in a happy and better place with no more pain and suffering.

In 1982 my daughter ran came upon Sweetwater Creek out of its banks and covering the Hiram-Lithia Spgs. road. She ran in the creek but someone following her pulled her out. That was the last time I remember it flooding so bad. -

Need to be careful using raw eggs if you don't heat them because of the danger of salmonella. -

I've let students make this one with the plastic bags at school before. It works great. Most of the children loved it. -

Many of you knew Mrs. Jane Horner, who taught for many years at New Georiga Elementary. Jane passed away last night in Piedmont Hospital. She was there being treated for a blood clot in her left leg. She was doing well with this, but during the night in her sleep her heart just stopped, and was not able to be revived. Her husband, Jim, said her body would be taken to her hometown in Tennessee tomorrow, so there will not be any kind of service here. That is Byrdstown, Tennessee, north of Chattanooga almost to the Kentucky line. She wanted to be buried in the family cemetery there. . She
