  1. My mother has "misplaced" my sisters dog. She is a black pitt with a white spot on her chest. Her name is Lexus. She may be wearing a bandana around her neck. If you find her PLEASE call me at 770 771 8085. She's a sweet girl and terrified of this weather. My sister is going to DIE when she finds out her baby is missing. She disappeared this morning........my mother left the front door open and now we can't find Lexus. Thanks TARA
  2. I haven't been there, but used to go to the 56th fighter group in Long Island all the time, and loved it. Thanks for reminding me about the place.
  3. Starlite. We have 2. My office is in Sharpsburg. If you want to come for a drink, you will need to go to Stockbridge. We don't have our liquor license in Sharpsburg............yet! lol
  4. Thank you. That is very sweet. And I would............if I didn't work 70 hours a week, 50 miles away!! lol
  5. Mine are not allowed to say it (I wasn't allowed either). They also aren't allowed to say crap or dang......... it means the same as sheeze and damn!
  6. To clarify: I no longer work for that company. I left them almost a year ago for a better offer. It was never my decison to add alcohol. I was quite against it, however, I will say that it has worked out well and there haven't been any issues. As for how they keep track of the sales- only a manager is allowed to sell, and typically it is the same manager all day. They don't sell that much, so it's quite easy to keep track of it. And I am sorry you think I am rude. I almost never intend to be.
  7. With 25 years in the skating industry, including 8 at the facility in question, I feel I must chime in. The industry itself is encouraging rinks to serve beer and wine. This is due to the demand. Sparkles does have a 2 drink limit but the managers can make the decision to sell more beer/wine based on his observance of the customer, how long the customer has been in the facility, etc.... In my experience almost nobody has more than 2 beers or 2 glasses of wine. Sparkles has very strict rules for their staff and the management underwent hours of training prior to selling alcohol. They are
  8. I hate mice. We've gotten mice EVERY year since we moved here. Two years ago I killed 13!! Mom and dad had BABIES! Now I have 2 cats . No more mice!
  9. Cilantro......tastes like soap! Yuck! And any shredded meat. Can not stand it!! I will eat it cubed or sliced, but nothing shredded. Not even shredded lettuce!
  10. Ive been to many. Spot on! Including one who knew that my neice died in an elevator when the first tower fell. She even knew who my neice was with when she died. This is where I have ALWAYS wanted to go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lily_Dale,_New_York
  11. That was April. She and Keith own the place. Very nice people. The prices are good, in my opinion. It usually costs me about $10 for dinner.
  12. Fries are GREAT....and I don't eat fries! Try the fried green beans.....fabulous!!!!
  13. They've ruined me for all other burgers. Simply the BEST!!!

  15. Thank you. Esra has a lovely home and she will be very happy. I am excited for her! Again, if you have any questions, or you are interested in hosting for the upcoming school year (you can pick your student in Feb).....please contact me! Thank you for your consideration. TARA
  16. I am happy to report that I found the PERFECT home for Esra. I know she will be very happy there. Thank you all. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested for next school year. I am accepting host family applications RIGHT NOW for July placements and there are VERY, VERY limited spots available. There are only three at each school, and I am competing with other exchange programs for those spots. If you want to host next scho year, we will start the paperwork now and you can pick your student in a few weeks! Call or text Me 770 771 8085- TARA
  17. So my friend..................you want another next year, right? I am with a new program now...and I call dibbs on you since I found you to begin with! I Knew you would love her!
  18. They are. They have to have good grades and get teacher recommendations. These are GOOD kids. Their parents spend a lot of money to send them here. Believe me, they do NOT want to get sent home. Please message me if you are interested for the upcoming school year. The student lists come out in the next few weeks and you can pick your student. What is nice is that you can email them and facebook them and get to know them before they arrive, so they are not complete strangers. I am blessed to be involved with these kids. I am going to Ireland for my very first students wedding in Sept.
  19. I think I am answering your question correctly.... I work for the exchange program as an area rep, meaning I find homes for a certain number of students, and then I am responsible for checking in with them and making sure everything is good. Sometimes things just dont work out and a student needs to find a new home. I take them temporarily until I can find them a new home nearby, preferably in the same school so as not to upset too much for the student. Sometimes that doesnt happen, and they move out of state or they go back home, which is a last resort. Their natural parent pay a lo
  20. I will call you this morning. Thank you! TARA
  21. I received your messages, thanks anyway. I will answer the questions in case anyone else has any. Your requirement is to treat them as part of your family. I expect mine to help with chores, just as I expect my children to. I sometimes have mine stay home with my children in the evening if my husband and I have plans. Other than that, the only thing we expect you to do is treat the child as you would your own. They have friends that they go out with, at their own expense. In our case, if our student wants to buy lunch in school then she pays for it. Otherwise she gets what she wants
  22. I am seriously starting to worry about finding a home for Esra. The state depratment regulates the exchange programs, and I can only keep her a few more nights without being in violation of their regulations (and yes, they do check up on me). I really need to find a home for Esra. You guys are GREAT finding forever homes for pets....Esra is much better. I can guarantee she won't pee in the house, chew your shoes, or dig under the fence. It's only until the end of May. PLEASE consider it. She's a Wonderful girl. If you have children this will be an amazing experience for them (trust me
