You are so sweet. Thanks.

Thanks all for your responses. We got the giant limb off the roof of the garage just now. Two old people applying teamwork. Scares me to no end him being on a roof with a chainsaw. Now he's got to go back up and patch the roof. More scaries.
-
It would involve free firewood!

Makes me think of the Ali/Frazier fight. Funny, I was a little girl in the 7th grade in bofunk TN, but I followed that fight.

Not asking for charity, just manpower. We've got old oaks dropping big limbs and they are very close to the house. Big limb today punched a hole in the roof on the garage. If you can help please let me know.

Great, another opening door to fraud and identity theft - think legal documents, tax returns, legal documents, medical consent forms, etc. Consider all the instances of computer hacking. And if there is a major power outage........................the computer age is a great thing, but we will be going back to just our kids going back to just being able to print, Oh, and with the computer era, fraud, etc. We now have to e-file (IRS prefers) using an ID theft special #. Never had that problem a few years ago. And think of all the historic documents that kids won't be able to read, as someo -
I did some searching and found the original thread about the house fire. (Can you tell I'm bored at work right now, LOL.) The original house burned down on April 10, 2008, and it doesn't seem like it was much later that they started building the new one.
-
It was the house that replaced one that burned, but it seems like it was built back when I was working at my old job, I remember passing by it on my way home from work, the burned house, and that would have been 2008 or prior IIRC.
-
I was surprised to read that anyone's living there.
-
It sure is - good! The listing says it was built in 2011, but would have sworn it's was built at least a couple of years before that. Listing also says it's occupied?
-
Well, that would at least offer some amusement on my drive to and from home:) It's like the scene from The Help when Hilly is asking for old coats and Skeeter puts it in the newsletter to drop off all you old commodes LOL. Love that movie. Of course, she was making a statement (Skeeter), not like the slobs dumping trash in front of a dead drag strip.
-
At least somebody removed all the trash/garbage bags from the "trash house" on EP, and the county has apparently been picking up the trash on Mt. Tabor evidenced by all the white bags I've been passing.
-
LOL!
-
Another dead commode dumped at the Mt. Tabor entrance to the old drag strip. Really?!?

Very, very true.

The Watts riots were in 1965. Some weren't listening then either. http://crdl.usg.edu/events/watts_riots/?Welcome

There need to be more mothers doing this same thing. Good for her!

So very sorry for your loss. My husband and I have lost both our parents so I can relate to how you must be feeling right now. Try to just remember the good times as I'm sure you will.

But don't you like the cobwebs, spiders, dirty look of the entire thing? Silly you. I've got an entire house that needs to be done. Who, besides contractors ever thought that was a good idea? Personally I find it to be a gratifying experience to have to vacuum my ceilings. No way, no how.

Gotta wonder what impact it might have on chicken and Thanksgiving turkey prices too. -
Skin So Soft.. Anyone?!?!?! (BUGS annoying me)
juleebella replied to Caped Crusader's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Personally, that stuff never worked for me. It actually seemed to attract more bugs. -
Guilty on all counts.

I was behind one of the trucks this morning. So hopeful when I saw him turn in to that driveway.
