  1. And there she goes, no discussion of the topic, just an attack...............................SSDD
  2. Looks like it's slipping further and further away. Manufacturing is down, only 38000 jobs added in May....................will the MSM finally give up this farce of a recovery?? <snip> Rest of the story at CNBC
  3. The only thing I would like to see done differently is where you put the posts, which forum. If it's advertising I think it should be in got the goods or business news. If you want input on something else it could go in the cafe. That way we would know which was which. We could choose to open it or not. I think some people don't like to be fooled. I think your wit and technique is clever and very original. Sometimes though I'm in a hurry and might open a thread about some tragedy that I might want to help with when it's just an ad. Putting in in a different forum could possibl
  4. The Freds in Rockmart is morphing into a Dollar Tree. Haven't been up there lately, not sure if or when it's opening. I love Freds. lol
  5. Looks like the Georgia State Parks has a Junior Ranger Program for younger ones. http://www.gastateparks.org/JuniorRanger
  6. Not really, I work with Scouts so only registered scouts can attend their camps. I know there are several out there. Just not familiar with them. There is a place in Breman called Jellystone Park, not sure what programs they have. Also check with Banning Mills and see what programs they have for younger kids. Looking at your link, they do have two and three day sessions. White, GA is not that far. Let them go to one of these, then plan some really fun activities with them. Let them help with the planning, cover every thing down to the meals. Go to museums, downtown Atlanta, Stone
  7. You know your kids better than anyone. However, having spent a lot of years working with kids and taking them to week long camps we have some six graders that have a hard time the first time they go to camp for a week. The younger ones only do two nights and three days. The youngest that can go is 7 and they have to have an adult with them. They don't get to go by themselves until they are going into 4th grade. Then it's still only two nights. Go with your gut. Like I said, you know them. Some will do great, others do get very homesick. Good luck
  8. Your computer tech probably has many. Why would he be ignoring you??
  9. We spent the morning honoring the fallen heroes from the church that charters our Scout units. The boys and girls placed flags on each grave of a military service man or woman. There is a female Marine that was born in 1900 buried there. Probably one of the few women to serve in the Marine Corp during that time. Semper Fi. Thanks to each an every soldier and family that has given their all.
  10. So far there have been over 1500 causalities in the Afghanistan War. 62% of them since January 2009. We used to hear about casualties daily, but not so much anymore. It's time to bring our boys and girls home. My link
  11. Congrats GB, he is a cutie!! He looks so relaxed in that car seat. Think he'll be a Nascar Driver?? Glad to hear him and his mom are doing well. I know you are a proud Papa!!
  12. Whether anyone wants to believe it or not, Obamascare has a whole lot to do with private health care premium increases. Deny it all you want, but he only opened the door to make health care unaffordable unless you are on Federal assistance or use his. Private insurance will soon be a thing of the past, quality care will be right along side of it.
  13. Holy Cow!! Those were some pretty old trees. This was not far at all from us. Glad you are safe Anita!!
  14. Wow, this is right down the road from us. I always say if there is hail during a thunderstorm, there's a tornado nearby. Sometimes they don't touch down, but it's there somewhere. Praying everyone in the Village is OK. Hey neighbor!!
  15. Perfect example of expecting someone else to take care of it. If the $3-$4 prescriptions will do the same thing, why would you even expect your insurance company to be involved?? Do your homework people!!!
  16. Where have you been?? Big Pharma set aside $150,000,000,00 (150 million) dollars to help pass 0bamacare!! Oh, yes they're on his side. This article from August 2009 is one of many!! Forbes
  17. Seriously SP, this all has to do with BIG PHARMA, the ones that financed all the hype for 0bamacare. I tried to tell everyone then, but no, I was just being hateful to the Divider in Chief. It's not going to get better under this plan, it's going to cost everyone a heck of a lot more. I guess you didn't read it, well neither did Congress.
  18. Well Big Pharma is involved, just saying!!
  19. Well is there anything we can do to help?? I'm pretty sure it's fixable!! LOL
  20. Sorry for your loss, prayers for the family. May she rest in peace.
  21. Folks, this is the reason we get a day off. More people need to participate in this very moving ceremony. We should not forget the sacrifices these men, women and families gave to keep our freedoms. Memorial Day is our opportunity to pause for a moment and thank those for their service. Please try to be there (or somewhere) to honor what those that have given their all deserve.
  22. Bogart's in Tinley Park. http://chicago.tribe...76-fed087e9efa0 Oh no, looks like it's closed, sorry. But why would you got to Chicago to eat steak when there is so much other good food!! The Parthenon http://www.theparthenon.com/ is the original Ooh-Pa!! saganaki Greek restaurant. The Italian food is to die for as are the deep dish pizza's. Any roadside Italian Beef stand will fill your belly with some of the tastiest roast beef you have even tasted, Portillo's is a great place to find some. That is the biggest thing I miss about Chicago, the wonderful, tasty food!!
  23. I have a great niece that competes, I promise she does not look at all like those kids. And she wins a lot of pageants. Here are some of her pics. http://pageantpics.zenfolio.com/p676745347/e4c222a2#h4c222a2
  24. Remember, Dale Russell is a reporter................the whole truth will come out, I have no doubt. However like I said this thread is not about that or Nathan Deal. It's about the President barring the press because he didn't like what they printed. The left is giving him a pass while they are hammering Deal. This is the second time in less than a month he's done this.
