  1. Great room. Wonder if he dreams about football every night??
  2. Egypt, Anthony and Cleopatra come to mind, along with the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Oh and don't forget the Nile River............yep fascinating stuff.
  3. Yummy, we call these Silver Turtles and throw them on the campfire coals. Never had them in the oven, just when we were camping. Very little clean up.
  4. Yep they do freeze the parks, used to ice skate a lot. Don't think my ankles could handle it anymore though. MCMM I remember getting a lot of snow in Owensboro when I was little. We had a rolling yard (small hills), we'd run and jump to where it had drifted between the hills to see how deep we could get. Good thing there were a lot of us, no one ever got stuck (for too long ) I do miss playing in it but I do not miss shoveling and I don't miss driving in it. We live on a gravel road and my car stays a whole lot cleaner than it did with all the snow, salt and slush.
  5. I like campfire stew (soup) on days like this........ground beef, onions, seasonings of your choice, couple of cans of veg-all and your done. If you want to add more potatoes that's good, too. Make some cornbread to go with it, yummy!!
  6. Chicago is supposed to get 2 inches of slush and then 1-3 inches of snow on top of that. Two River Wisconsin is supposed to get up to 9 inches in the next couple of days. ~~whew~~ I don't miss shoveling that snow!!
  7. JLH there is a little store on Merchants Drive across from the GroMart that has some used Mattresses. They looked pretty good to me. We got my mom some wall shelves there.
  8. They have smaller ones with a metal hook that moves.........should work OK. I used them on the glass to hang lights, works great. I don't drape the garland on the mantle, I just run it across in the back. I use narrow white ribbon to tie the garland to the white stair rail.
  9. What about some command adhesive hooks?? They have all different kinds, when you're done just take it off.
  10. Awww sorry he is sick, next time.
  11. Sorry, I misunderstood. I think you would do a fine job UnionMom.
  12. I totally agree with all of these except Wendy's Pet Sitting, only because we have never used her (yet) I also want to add Joe Turner, he is very professional and bring just the right amount of "Magic' everywhere he goes.
  13. I heard talk of George Stephanopoulos.
  14. Oh yeah, I remember John Bleakley's backward K.............
  15. Don't forget it's LPPT's birthday...........wonder if she's gonna be there?
  16. Would it be rude to tell them about the mistake in private??
  17. Just curious, I don't think they are likely to stay in business very long with the attitude that it doesn't need to be professional. I just told one of my employees a couple of months ago, I really care what goes in all correspondence that leaves our office; e-mail, letters, memos.........because it doesn't matter who signs it, my name is on the letterhead. Times are tough and I would hate to see someone not get work because of this. Anyone else??
  18. Woooo hoooo Ernest T..........you are a keeper, even if rocks are your best weapon. We're having lunch to celebrate LPPT's birthday tomorrow.
  19. She's taking Charlie Gibson's place on World News Tonight.....I think that's the name of it.
  20. I'm glad she's leaving, I don't like her at all. Used to until it became so obvious she will let her party's candidates get away with anything. She always has an excuse for them. I want to throw up when I hear her. Too bad she's just going to another spot on All Barack Channel.............I won't even watch GMA anymore.
