Domestic violence victims become very skilled at covering the abuse up...they are very ashamed and blame their selves. When working as a victim advocate - I saw all types of d.v. victims from stay at home moms - to a doctor's wife and lady that held a public office. Thanks - it was a pretty big surprise - but I can't say a lot - dh and I got engaged in 3 months and married in 9 months (they have only dated a few months). But I think they will make it.

Our son, Dustin dropped the surprise on us last night - he and his girlfriend were getting married the next day at the Douglas County Courthouse. DH and I joined them with a couple of their friends - now the knot has been tied. She seems like a lovey person and we wish them many years of happiness. When we went through courthouse security one of the S.O. Dep was my hubby's best man from 31 years ago, Mike Harrington - and his wife's Uncle, Judge Hal Hamrick married Dusty and Charise today....small world.

Yes - I'm sure speeding, talking on the cell phone, texting, being careless, etc. are all the primary reason - But when looking at the intersection ....why there more wrecks at that location than other places - that's why I tried to really look at at it and that was when I notice how much of a curve is there and the trees. I wish everyone would slow down and drive safer. I think many will be driving a little slower soon - as I have notice lots of people getting 'fast driving awards' lately with the 'summer heat' popo program. The guy is killing his self - what an idiot and a$$. He said - his Mistress is his =soul mate= but he was =trying= to fall back in love with his wife.....if my dh said something like that after having an afair....I would slap him upside the head! ....And to the wife.....if you have to tell your dh not to go see his mistress....you got an ongoing problem. At work we have talked about the number of bad accidents there even though there is a red light - I think it's because of the curve on the west side of the intersection on hwy 278 and and lovely trees (Bradford pears) that are planted there. Although it seems like there are clear views - it really isn't that clear a site. I was stuck in the traffic also from the wreck - the white suv looked worse to me that the red vec. - it looked like really bad. All the window were broken out of the white suv and glass was all over the left east bound lane of hwy 278.
