  1. I LOVE black eyed peas, but since I'm the only one in the family that does, it's one of the few days of the year I get them. I don't like any kind of greens (the rest of the family eats those), and we always have pork, just not the hog jowl.
  2. My continued prayers for this family. She will be greatly missed.

  8. Not there. Not in a party mood. Funeral home last night, funeral this afternoon and another funeral home tonight, and another funeral tomorrow. I'm drained.
  9. Thank you Paulding County!!! Thank you for the respect shown to this funeral procession. Thank you Paulding County Sheriff's Dept, great job! Sheriff Gary Gulledge, you are definitely first class. Thank you to the Clark's ambulance driver who pulled over, the Executive Courier, and the fire/rescue.

  13. I found this info on more than one website: How can I safely whiten my vintage linens? <a name="linens-03">You may find that your lovely vintage linens have yellowed with time. The concern with using chemical cleaners to whiten yellowed linens is that the cleaner may be too harsh for the delicate linens. Here is one method that works well. Fill a pot with fresh water and a few slices of lemons. Place it on the stove and bring to a boil. Then turn off the heat and add your linens. Let the linens soak for an hour and then launder as usual. Low heat for drying or even better, hang them
  14. I purchased some beautiful linens from an estate sale and they were very yellowed. I took them to the dry cleaners and they now look brand new. I have no idea what they did, but it worked wonders! Good luck to you. I have a passion for old linens and old dishes.
  15. What a good man. He will be greatly missed. Sending my love and condolences to the Keown family. Love you like my own.
