  1. I don't think it's any longer controversial that birds originated from dinosaurs. My link
  2. Thanks, bigsky! The Roswell GA doctor, Michael Banov - a private practice Psychiatrist paid over $68,000 by Lilly - says he gives speeches for about five companies with competing medications. "I think my patients welcome the fact they have a doctor who is meeting other doctors, actively involved in research, actively communicating with other physicians. Someone who's on top of the game," said Banov And Banov says, the drug company - not him - creates the materials used in his speeches, and he says there's a reason for that. "We are only able to present the data. We're not able to p
  3. It takes years of education, PUBBY, and tons of money to get really good at ripping people off. But, there is a good return on your investment. OMG, some people actually think like this!
  4. I lean a little more toward the fact that doctors are human, and even the most independent doctor can get hooked on all that extra cash coming in. "Doctors are human, and once you get into this routine of making outside income, you become dependent on it," said Bremner. BUT, "Why not let the public know? there is nothing to hide." There is no shame. We're not doing anything illegal," said Banov. "I think it's terrific. [it] Should be completely open." I agree with both of these men.
  5. My link didn't work so you can go to: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=7&ved=0CEYQFjAG&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.myfoxatlanta.com%2Fdpp%2Fhealth%2FHealth-Watch%253A-Doctors-and-Drug-Companies-20101229-gda-sd&ei=RikeTZnuOsP38Abrp_zCDg&usg=AFQjCNEWsv_4cb78HaGX8i1RFIWGnBWKPA To find it. What's in your wallet? What's in your doctor's wallet?
  6. Nearly 20 percent of American doctors get paid by drug companies to be consultants or speakers. http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/health/Health-Watch%3A-Doctors-and-Drug-Companies-20101229-gda-sd
  7. All you got to do is keep your MO-JO working, ss! I LOVED THAT, VIDEO, BUT HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE!
  8. Philip Zimbardo helps with the understanding of the situation in which Evil and Heroism comes about.
  9. Coming up with solutions, Elwood, is better than letting any problem continue. Like Edmund Burke said: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." ~
  10. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." ~ Edmund Burke I certainly appreciate these replies. I think just talking about it on a public forum is doing something. I admire people who take action against bullying. My 2 minute link
  11. Here's 4 minutes of song.

  13. I grew up on Western Movies. I love the real Wild Wild West. My link
  14. I used to go to stone mountain with a group of friends, but I don't go any more unless I'm by my self. It's didn't cost anything to go in the early 1950's, with a bunch of friends, but it can cost the heck out of a group of people NOW. That's why I am by myself, when I go, because I don't want to appear to be a fruddy-dud for being cheap.
  15. I know what you mean, GGGM! I haven't been to Hiram in a while, but Hiram is a lot like Woodstock in many ways. Everything is very close, as for as places to spend your money is concerned. I love both places. I am thinking of getting one of the new exercise bikes that I can actually ride around town.
  16. EXACTLY, GGGM! But, perfection alludes us all, so EXACTLY might not be the best word.
  17. I think schools should have video cameras in places much like airport security has for safety. There should be security personnel even in bathrooms. With that said, the parents of bullies should be shown the video and charged with whatever violation of school rules that took place. Bullying should not happen, especially in school.
  18. Did the parents, of that kid, come and apologize to you and your daughter for such an absolute disgusting criminal act?
  19. You are right, SOLO! I have done that. But, it could lead to a more serious problem that it originated from. I was lucky, though! We like to think that the law can be depended on, but taking it into your own hands may not be a good idea. With that said, I will fight the law, and they will win, but my child will be stood up for!
  20. You think a lot like I do, GGGM, and I believe that is why we get along so well, even though we oppose each other so strongly, in you know what. If I were to use the word my whole topic would be moved, so you know what is the best way to say it.
  21. Facing prosecution is not as bad as denying that something should be done, in my book, to let it be known that it WILL NOT be tolerated. Thanks, WW!
  22. Yes, I would have wanted to do it, also, sg! And I don't know if I could have held myself back. My main concern is where are the parents of these bullies??? They should be going to this father and apologizing for the way their child treated disabled daughter. But, instead, some of them are pushing for his prosecution.
  23. You are not in denial, GGGM! You know what David knew. No matter hoe big a problem is you need to stand up, speak out, and talk back, against it. That works the same way on a person's internal dialog. Thanks for your reply!
  24. Lake Mary, Fla. — A central Florida father who stormed onto a school bus and threatened children because his 13-year-old disabled daughter had been bullied apologized to other students on the bus “who had nothing to do with this.” James Willie Jones appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” Tuesday. He also said parents shouldn’t react the way he did. Jones told The Associated Press in a statement Monday that he’s sorry for his “inappropriate use of language” and for the way he handled the situation. But he says his daughter suffers from cerebral palsy and he “could not stand by and
